She began as a Unit Publicist with Paramount Pictures, joined Rogers & Cowan as a corporate and entertainment publicist; served as Head of East Coast Public Relations for the DeLaurentiis Entertainment Group (DEG), and as a Corporate Communications Officer with the Harlem Urban Development Corporation, 1-800-Flowers, L'Oréal USA and MasterCard Worldwide. Post the financial crisis of 2011, she founded SM Communications which is now, SMC Solutions.
