CHONGQING

The history of the College of Mathematics and Statistics of Chongqing University can be traced back to the Science College of Chongqing University established in 1929 and the Business College of Chongqing University established in 1937. The college resumed its name as Science College in July 1998. In January 2001, the Department of Mathematics of Chongqing Jianzhu University was merged in, then it was renamed the College of Mathematics and Physics. Later it became the College of Mathematics and Statistics officially in June 2010. During the past ninety years, a lot of famous mathematicians, like He Lu, Ke Zhao, Hu Kunsheng, Duan Tiaoyuan, Pan Pu, Zhou Xueou, etc. have served as teachers here.
