I have found a way to use my skill in the not-for-profit organization that I am a member of, called West Central FL Concerns of Police Survivors. I became the Vice President of our chapter, and had opportunities to speak to local law enforcement agencies about our organization and how we can help them and the families of fallen officers. I created a presentation to explain who we are and what we offer, and also had the opportunity to co-author an article that was published in the national magazine, Law Enforcement Today, which led to other opportunities to share my story. This fall I have been given the honor of sharing my story again at a local 9/11 breakfast.
