STORYBOARDS COLLEGE ADMISSION PORTFOLIOS - Key Persons

Dr. Stephen Himes

Dr. Stephen Himes taught at an elite college preparatory academy in the heart of Kansas City, Missouri for 12 years. During that time, he earned his Ed.D. with an award-winning dissertation on how Parents Involved v. Seattle Schools created the legal framework for re-segregating schools. He has presented at national Education Law Association Conference addressing the use of race, gender, and other protected factors in college admissions. As a master teacher, curriculum designer, and teacher coach, Dr. Himes created his own unique critical thinking skills curriculum, reimagined study abroad through his student travel company, and taught his "How To Write For the College Application" for over a decade. Dr. Himes also taught in the classroom through the pandemic, where he devised innovative teaching methods to fit with how high school students learn and work during their exciting, but stressful, senior year.

Franci Erdmann

From 2004 to 2008, Franci served as Assistant Dean of Admission at William Jewell College, making her mark by identifying great students who brought more than just academic achievement to campus. She then embarked on an executive career at an international customer experience research firm where she learned the value of using narrative to convey important information. Franci used that experience and insight to develop the Storyboards concept, becoming the Founder and Managing Director of Storyboards College Admission Portfolios, LLC.
