Adithya Mathai is a partner at ScottMadden with more than 16 years of experience in large program and project management, organization design and transformation, process improvement, and shared services assessment, design, and implementation. Since joining ScottMadden, Adithya has worked across functions that include finance, IT, and HR. He has partnered with clients across several industries, including healthcare, retail and consumer products, energy, defense, and staffing. His international background and proficiency in several languages has allowed him to support international clients in Europe, Asia, and Latin America. He joined ScottMadden after working at both Corporate Executive Board and Optymyze, Inc. across a variety of functional areas, including HR, finance, sales operations, and customer relationship management. Adithya earned a B.S. in computer telecommunication engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A., with honors, from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School.

Brad DeMent is the leader of the Finance & Accounting shared services practice at ScottMadden. He also specializes in Global Business Services (GBS) design and build with extensive experience in the Latin America region as well as Europe and Asia-Pacific. With more than 25 years of domestic and international consulting experience, Brad brings extensive experience designing, improving, and merging shared services and GBS operations. Although his focus is on shared services strategy and implementation, Brad also has experience in building multifunction shared services operations in Mexico, Central America, and South America. His areas of industry expertise include manufacturing, consumer products, pharmaceuticals, media/entertainment, and defense. Prior to joining ScottMadden, he worked for Booz Allen & Hamilton where he managed defense and intelligence projects for the federal government. Brad earned a B.S. in industrial and systems engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, with a minor in industrial/organizational psychology. He earned an M.B.A. with a focus on finance from George Washington and Marymount University, summa cum laude.
Courtney Jackson has 17 years of consulting experience, focusing the last 10 years in corporate and shared services. Areas of expertise include human resources management, shared services strategy, design and implementation, project and change management, operations improvement and process redesign, shared services delivery/operations, organization design and restructuring, and governance. Courtney's experience spans manufacturing, higher education, aerospace and defense, entertainment, retail, energy, and real estate, primarily within the human resources and finance and accounting disciplines. Prior to joining ScottMadden, Courtney worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers, consulting on corporate dispute litigations within the United States, Switzerland, and Australia. Courtney received an M.B.A. at the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School and a B.S. in commerce, with a minor in French, from the University of Virginia.

Cristin Lyons is a partner with ScottMadden and leads the firm's energy practice. Since joining the firm in 1999, Cristin has consulted with myriad clients on issues ranging from process and organizational redesign to merger integration to project and program management. Cristin led the firm's grid transformation practice for three years before becoming the energy practice lead. She is a frequent speaker and panelist at conferences across the country. Cristin earned a B.A. in political science and Spanish from Gettysburg College and an M.B.A. from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. She is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
David Adams is a partner with ScottMadden and has a diverse career background spanning several industry sectors, including energy and utilities, the federal government, and consumer packaged goods. Over the past 20 years, David has consulted extensively with clients across North America and has program managed rate and regulatory filing processes; led several multi-year technology implementations; guided numerous business planning and strategy engagements; advised clients on business process and information technology (IT) delivery model improvements, and managed the delivery of software and services of an offshore service provider. Prior to joining ScottMadden, David was vice president of global delivery for a leading provider of outsourced technology services to the energy industry. He has also consulted for both Xansa and Navigant Consulting where he specialized in energy industry restructuring and the transition to a competitive marketplace. He started his career with FirstEnergy where he held a number of marketing and sales management roles. David earned a B.B.A. in marketing from Eastern Michigan University and received an M.B.A. from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.

Dylan D'Ascendis is an experienced consultant and a Certified Rate of Return Analyst (CRRA) and Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA). He has served as a consultant for investor-owned and municipal utilities and authorities for 12 years. Dylan has extensive experience in rate-of-return analyses, class cost of service, rate design, and valuation for regulated public utilities. He has testified as an expert witness in the subjects of rate of return, cost of service, rate design, and valuation before 23 regulatory commissions in the United States, one Canadian province, and an American Arbitration Association panel. He also maintains the benchmark index against which the Hennessy Gas Utility Mutual Fund performance is measured. Dylan earned a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from Rutgers University - Camden.
Ed Baker is a partner with ScottMadden and co-leads the firm's nuclear and gas practices. He has been a consultant since joining the firm in 2001. He has extensive experience with performance/operations improvement, strategy development and business planning, organization design and staffing, and fleet playbooks/management models. Prior to attending graduate school, Ed was vice president of professional banking with a North Carolina bank. He is a graduate of the Babcock Graduate School of Business at Wake Forest University, where he was a Babcock Scholar and recipient of the Kiplinger Prize for academic achievement and leadership potential and the Babcock Award for managerial potential. He earned a B.S. in financial management at Clemson University.
George Penton brings extensive experience leading large teams on complex transformation projects. He is a specialist in the areas of business process transformation, post-merger integration, change management, technology implementation, and shared services implementation and optimization projects. He also has significant experience as a practitioner having led large finance and accounting, human resources/payroll shared services, and IT and customer contact center operations teams for several large, global organizations. George earned a B.S. in accounting from Barry University in Miami and an M.B.A. from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale. He is a certified project management professional since 2007 and is fluent in Spanish.
Henry Bell joined ScottMadden in 2010, after spending 12 years in the military and healthcare industries. His consulting experience spans corporate and shared services design and implementation, HR, IT, and cybersecurity. Prior to joining ScottMadden, Henry led the strategy and operations team at Abbott Laboratories focused on strategic development and operational improvements. Additionally, he served in the United States Army as a special operations team leader focused on operational assessments and infrastructure project development and implementation. Henry earned a B.S. from Vanderbilt University and an M.B.A. from Goizueta Business School at Emory University. He is a certified information systems security professional (CISSP).
Jason Davis is a partner with 24 years of consulting experience, specializing in operations improvement, business process transformation, shared services design and implementation, post-merger integration, and technology implementation. In particular, he has expertise assessing, designing, and implementing supply chain and multifunction shared services operating models. Before joining the firm, Jason worked at AGL Resources (now Southern Company Gas) in gas distribution operations, engineering, and gas supply. Jason earned a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, a B.S. from Furman University, and an M.B.A. from Georgia State University.
Jerred Crosby is a partner with ScottMadden and has led client initiatives in ScottMadden's corporate & shared services and energy practices. With more than 15 years of consulting on domestic and international projects, Jerred brings extensive experience in shared services, operations improvement, outsourcing implementations, technology optimization, merger and acquisition integration, and project and change management. His industry experience includes energy, entertainment, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, telecommunications, agriculture, healthcare, and non-profits. Jerred holds an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School and a B.A. from the University of Calgary, where he was an Academic All-Canadian Athlete.
John Francis is a partner within the Corporate & Shared Services practice and the Energy practice at ScottMadden. He leads the supply chain practice and has deep experience in P2P, O2C, category management, sourcing strategy, operational procurement, logistics, transportation, inventory management, and materials management. He spent 13 years at McMaster-Carr Supply Company, a multibillion-dollar industrial supply firm which ships thousands of small packages a day throughout North America. He was one of 13 corporate officers at the firm and was responsible for the functional areas of finance, human capital management, materials management, and inventory management, contact center operations, and marketing. John received a B.S. in applied mathematics and economics from Brown University.
John Pang has more than 20 years of consulting and facilitation experience working in the energy industry. He specializes in strategic planning, process improvement, and change management with a focus on business planning within electric utilities. Prior to joining ScottMadden, John was a consultant and country manager for AsiaWorks Corporate Division in Hong Kong, where he partnered with organizations to create personal growth and development strategies and implement high-impact change management solutions. John has facilitated strategic planning workshops and management development sessions around the world, in 15 countries for more than 40 different multinational companies and utilities. He has published energy industry thought leadership and academic research in international journals dealing with memory and cognition and human performance. John received a B.S. from the University of Guelph, an M.A. in experimental psychology from York University, and an M.B.A. from Duke University.
Jon Kerner leads the information technology practice area at ScottMadden and is one of the founders of ScottMadden's shared services practice. With more than 10 years of management consulting experience and experience as a chief information officer for multibillion-dollar companies, Jon delivers practical solutions and provides both business and technical expertise across a range of corporate responsibilities, including strategic planning, IT services transformation and delivery, cybersecurity, and sourcing optimization. His areas of industry experience include energy utilities, telecommunications, professional services, and consumer products. Jon earned a B.S. in industrial and systems engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and received an M.B.A., with a focus on finance, and an M.S. in computer information systems from Georgia State University.
Justin Stevens has more than a decade of consulting experience with a track record of delivering successful client outcomes across a broad range of engagement types. He leads ScottMadden's strategy and services community of practice, with a focus on strategy and business planning, M&A analysis and integration, data analytics, benchmarking and performance management, and sustainability. Justin has led or supported numerous engagements in these areas for a diverse set of energy clients, including regulated electric and gas utilities, competitive energy suppliers, and regional transmission organizations (RTOs). Prior to joining ScottMadden, Justin developed expertise in government policy and the legislative process, while working at a public affairs consulting firm, specializing in government relations and strategic communications. Justin holds a B.A. in English and journalism from Wake Forest University and an M.B.A. from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
Karen Hilton has more than 20 years of consulting experience with ScottMadden and has focused on shared services design and implementation, process improvement, benchmarking, organizational design and restructuring, internal customer satisfaction surveys, and cost-reduction analysis in both shared services and energy. Within shared services, she has expertise in HR and service center design and implementation. Karen rejoined ScottMadden after earning an M.B.A. at the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School. Prior to business school, Karen worked as a research associate and senior research associate for ScottMadden. Karen earned a B.S. with a minor in Spanish from the Wayne Calloway Undergraduate School of Business at Wake Forest.
Kevin Hernandez is a partner with ScottMadden where he specializes in the grid edge and energy storage. Since joining the firm in 2012, he has consulted with a variety of transmission and distribution utility clients on issues ranging from post-merger integration to distributed energy resources. Kevin earned a B.A. from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, an M.A. from the U.S. Navy War College in Newport, Rhode Island, and an M.B.A. from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He is also an eight-year veteran of the United States Navy.

Kimberly Davenport joined ScottMadden in 2005. Kim has expertise in process improvement, Lean methodology, shared services, service center design and implementation, and project management. Prior to joining ScottMadden, she worked nearly five years as a Lean coordinator for The Gillette Company in its Duracell Batteries division. During her 10-year tenure at Gillette, Kim held a variety of positions, including mechanical engineer, quality engineer, and production manager. She earned a B.S. in manufacturing engineering from Central State University in Ohio and an M.B.A. from Emory University's Goizueta Business School. Kim also earned a certification of diversity and inclusion from Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations.

Logan Toms serves as Partner, Director of Finance, and Corporate Secretary with ScottMadden. He joined the firm in 1992, working first as a consultant and since 1998 as manager of the firm's Corporate Services area. Previously, Logan worked for five years in commercial banking. He earned an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management, where he was President of the Owen Finance Association, and he has a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Luke Martin is a partner in the Raleigh office and is a leader in ScottMadden's energy practice. Luke joined the firm in 2005 and has more than 13 years of management consulting experience focused on the energy, utility, and clean tech industries. During his time at ScottMadden, he has worked on a variety of key issues for utilities, including cybersecurity, organizational transformation, and program implementation. Luke has deep consulting experience with operational technology security, NERC CIP, operations improvement, program recovery, and digital transformation. He worked for GE Consumer & Industrial in its electrical distribution division as part of the commercial leadership program. Luke received an M.B.A. from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business cross-continent program, with an emphasis on energy and the environment. He holds a B.S. in computer engineering and electrical engineering from North Carolina State University.
Marc Miller is a partner with ScottMadden and has more than 20 years of experience helping business leaders become more successful. His clients range from Fortune 500 companies to government-owned entities to small businesses. Marc has expertise in strategy development, business transformation, operational excellence and leading practices, supply chain management, and other management practices across a broad range of functions in several industries, especially energy and related services.
Prior to joining ScottMadden, Marc gained extensive experience through various business leadership positions at public and private companies. He received a bachelor of industrial engineering, with highest honor, and a master of science in industrial engineering from Georgia Tech, where he was a National Merit Scholar, a Governor's Scholar, and a George Fellow.
Molly Donofrio joined ScottMadden in 2006 and has spent the last 15 years focused on corporate and shared services design, assessment, implementation, and change management. Her consulting expertise is in global service delivery implementation, process improvement, HR and payroll systems implementation, and training and communications. Molly has worked across industries in an advisory role to companies looking to enact change in their HR, payroll, and multifunctional services and has directed global teams across multi-year engagements. Prior to graduate school, she worked for Cato Research as a project manager in pharmaceutical strategy and development and was selected for an international project in Johannesburg, SA. Molly completed her M.B.A. at Wake Forest University and earned a B.S. in biology from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
Patricia Ferris joined ScottMadden in 2004. Her consulting experience spans a number of areas in human capital management (HCM), including operations improvement and process redesign, service delivery model and organizational design, merger and acquisition integration, strategy development, and project management. Prior to joining ScottMadden, Trish worked in management consulting for A.T. Kearney and at The Advisory Board Company, where she conducted research and analysis and wrote tactical recommendations and implementation materials for hospital-related strategic and operational issues. Trish holds an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School, and she received an undergraduate degree, with a double major in Arabic language and international relations, from Georgetown University.
Randy McAdams has more than 33 years of management consulting experience. For the past 30 years, he has specialized in the utility industry, with a focus on developing the plans, processes, and organization to help clients execute their strategies. Randy has led numerous engagements throughout his career, serving investor-owned, state-owned, municipal, and cooperative utility operations in the United States, Canada, and Europe. He has significant experience in strategic planning, wholesale strategy development, risk management, integrated resource planning, organization development, business process design, information system design and implementation, energy efficiency/demand response program assessment, AMI system implementation, and change management.
Randy is also deeply experienced in productivity/quality improvement programs, financial management, activity-based costing, supply chain management, and work management. He received a B.S. in management science from Duke University and an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Randy participates on the Southeast Reliability Council Executive Forum and currently serves on the Ontario Province Strategic Planning Council.
Brad Kitchens is president and CEO of ScottMadden, Inc. With more than 30 years of business and consulting experience, he has worked extensively in the energy sector on strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, operations improvement, reorganizations, and governance. Brad routinely works with energy organizations' executive teams and boards of directors. He is a frequent speaker to energy leadership and at energy conferences. Prior to ScottMadden, Brad consulted with Deloitte & Touche specializing in its capital markets practice. He also spent several years in the oil and gas industry. He received a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, where he graduated with top honors and was recognized as a Fuqua Scholar.

Scott Manning heads ScottMadden's Corporate and Shared Services practice. Scott has more than 27 years of consulting experience in aerospace and defense, education, energy, entertainment, healthcare, telecommunications, manufacturing, technology, retail, and transportation in the United States and abroad, including Asia, Australia, Canada, Europe, South America, and the United Kingdom. His areas of expertise include shared service design and implementation, employee service center design and implementation, outsourcing, operations improvement, organization design and staffing, human resource management, strategic and business planning, and change implementation and management. Prior to joining ScottMadden, Scott led the consulting practice for Connor Partners, Inc., a change implementation and turnaround consulting firm. He has also worked as a consultant with William M. Mercer and Deloitte & Touche. Scott received a B.A. from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and an M.B.A. from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University in Atlanta.
Sean Lawrie joined ScottMadden in 2005. He possesses expertise across a broad range of functions within the energy sector,including generation, transmission and distribution, and new generation development. Sean also has general management experience in a number of industries, including financial services, healthcare, and construction services. Prior to joining ScottMadden, Sean worked for several General Electric businesses including GE Capital. He earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Guelph and earned an M.B.A. from the Babcock Graduate School of Management at Wake Forest University, where he was a Cooper Cass Scholar.
Tim Lyons has more than 30 years of experience in the energy industry. Tim has held senior positions at several gas utilities and energy consulting firms. His experience includes rate and regulatory support, sales and marketing, customer service, and strategy development. Prior to joining ScottMadden, Tim was vice president of sales and marketing for Vermont Gas, where he was responsible for all customer-related functions, including sales and marketing, call center, and field service operations. He has also served as vice president of marketing and regulatory affairs for Providence Gas (now part of National Grid), director of rates at Boston Gas (also part of National Grid), and project director at Quantec, LLC, an energy consulting firm. Tim has testified before public utilities commissions in Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Vermont. Tim holds a B.A. from St. Anselm College, an M.A. in economics from The Pennsylvania State University, and an M.B.A. from Babson College.
