THE FLOOR STORE - Key Persons
I was born and raised in Williamstown, New Jersey. Shortly after graduating I moved with my family to Mechanicsville, VA where I raised my 2 sons (both of which graduated from Lee Davis HS). I have been in sales all of my life starting in insurance sales. I decided to make a change to flooring sales many years ago and discovered how much I loved working with clients to design their homes. Recently I was given the amazing opportunity to be part of a new store in Chesterfield. I love the field I am in, the people I work with, and the clients I see daily. I take my job very seriously and strive to give every client the top-notch service they deserve. My goal is to retire from The Floor Store!
Courtney grew up in Connecticut with a very close family, but 2 years ago decided to start fresh and move down to Virginia. She grew up around the flooring industry with her Grandfather owning his own company before he passed, her uncle who has his own company installing flooring, and her mother who is an extremely talented estimator. Courtney was always interested in the industry and has grown into her role very quickly and comfortably. On her off time, she loves spending time with her family. She is a single mother and that is something she prides herself on. Courtney's hopes are to help make this company the most successful company in Virginia and help the community as much as we can along the way!
I have been married for 6 1/2 half years and blessed with 3 beautiful kids. On my downtime, I enjoy being around my family and taking the dogs for long walks. I have been in the flooring industry for the past 4 1/2 years and love the journey I have traveled. I'm looking to grow with this amazing company and being able to help our community with the best selections for their Flooring needs.
Jake Shannon was born and raised on the North Side of Richmond. He has been in the flooring/construction Industry for 25 years now. He is married with 4 beautiful kids, which are his everything. When he is not saving the day stepping in to fill many roles around the company, he enjoys exploring with his kids, going to the river, and spending as much time with his family as possible. Jake hopes to provide a level of service in the industry where it doesn't exist and cannot wait to help you every step of the way!
Jerry was born in Rhode Island and moved to Chesapeake, VA when he was 4 years old. He came to Matoaca 18 years ago with his wife and 4 children. He is now a Daddy to 6 and a Grandfather to 4. He has been in a Warehouse/Receiving position for over 35 years and enjoys the daily challenges and changes it presents. He is constantly preaching that "flexibility" is needed for success in this position. When he is not the Champion of the Warehouse, he enjoys grilling, hanging out in his Man Cave, and of course, spending time with his kids and grandkids. He is determined to make this the best warehouse around!
I got my start in flooring as a helper for my brother's carpet installation crew. I was able to learn not only the best install techniques but how to walk the customer throughout the entire process. I eventually got the call to sales and found my niche there. I highly value the relationships made and helping navigate customers through the unknown that is flooring. When the time clock rings for home you will find me looking into the next big hike or camping trip with My fiance, Traci, and our 3 dogs.
Robbie has grown up around flooring with his mother and brother both in the flooring industry as well. He has done a variety of different jobs from sales to sales manager, store manager, distributor rep and more before coming to the Floor Store and taking on the responsibility of General Manager. In his downtime, he enjoys time with his wife and 2 children and loves giving back by coaching his son's football and daughter's softball teams where he can cheer them on right from the front row. With over 18 years of experience Robbie is more than capable of helping with any and all aspects of your project, no matter how big or small!
