Corrine Yu is senior advisor to the president for The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and The Leadership Conference Education Fund, where she is responsible for seeking and developing new program opportunities; coordinating policy development on priority issues within the coalition; and devising coalition-based strategies. Ms. Yu also helps advise and lead on enterprise-wide capacity and impact building initiatives as well as initiatives designed to foster and nurture new partnerships within a variety of sectors. Ms. Yu is also helping the organizations to grow thoughtful voices for change, including through the organizations' internship program. Ms. Yu also currently serves as interim executive vice president of campaigns and programs.
Ms. Yu previously served as The Leadership Conference and The Education Fund's senior program director, special projects, where she advocated for the coalition's policy positions to policymakers in the executive and legislative branches and served as staff liaison for coalition task forces on census and media/telecommunications. Before that, Ms. Yu was The Leadership Conference and The Education Fund's managing policy director, assisting in the day-to-day management of the policy department. She also served as director of special projects where she was responsible for developing concepts for, planning and implementing new and groundbreaking initiatives for the organizations. She also served as director of education, with oversight responsibilities for all of The Leadership Conference and The Education Fund's offline and online communications, publications, and research, including the expansion and design of civilrights.org, the organizations' award-winning website.
Ms. Yu was previously the director and counsel of the Citizens' Commission on Civil Rights, a private, bipartisan organization established to monitor the civil rights policies and practices of the federal government and to examine important policy issues affecting equal opportunity. She was the co-editor of the Citizens' Commission's highly respected biennial reviews of the Clinton administration's civil rights track record. Prior to joining the Citizens' Commission, Ms. Yu was an attorney in the Washington, D.C., office of Nixon, Hargrave, Devans and Doyle where she specialized in First Amendment, antitrust, and other litigation. She is a graduate of Brown University and Boston College Law School.

Jesselyn McCurdy is the Executive Vice President for Government Affairs at The Leadership Conference of Civil and Human Rights. Prior to joining The Leadership Conference, Jesselyn was a Deputy Political Director at the National Political Advocacy Department of the American Civil Liberties Union. She led the NPAD Equality Division that engages in federal and state advocacy as well as campaigns on immigration rights, racial justice, and Arab, Middle Eastern, Muslim, and South Asian issues.
Before joining the Equality team, Jesselyn led the ACLU's federal criminal justice advocacy work at the ACLU Washington Legislative Office, including federal sentencing, prison reform, drug policy, capital punishment, and police reform. She was a member of the WLO staff before joining the U.S. House of Representatives Judiciary Committee's Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security Subcommittee as Counsel. While working for the Judiciary Committee, she was the lead House Counsel for the historic Fair Sentencing Act of 2010, the legislation that lowered the 100 to 1 disparity between crack and powder cocaine.
Prior to joining the ACLU, Jesselyn was the Co-Director of the Children's Defense Fund's Education and Youth Development Division. Also, she has authored the chapter entitled Targets for Arrest in the book "From Education to Incarceration: Dismantling the School to Prison Pipeline." Jesselyn received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Political Science from Rutgers University and her Juris Doctor from Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law.

Monica M. Woods is executive vice president and chief operating officer. She most recently served as vice president for human resources and chief administrative officer at the Urban Institute. There, she led strategic and business-driven talent management programs, operations, and initiatives, and served as an officer on Urban's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council. Woods also led efforts to strengthen Urban's administrative systems, policies, and processes to facilitate responsive staff support and service. Woods has comprehensive experience managing complex organizations and operations, including 15 years driving strategies to improve organizational performance. Before joining Urban, Woods was the associate director for workforce management and development at the Congressional Research Service and led people-focused programs and operations at the U.S. Departments of Homeland Security and Education. Woods holds a BA in political science from Spelman College and an MPA with a human resources concentration from American University.

Shin Inouye is the Executive Vice President of Communications at The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and The Leadership Conference Education Fund. In that capacity, he is responsible for directing, managing, and implementing the organizations' communications strategy, including media relations, creative, and digital operations. He serves as point on the development of institutional communications campaigns, including large scale coalition-wide public advocacy campaigns. He previously served as the Managing Director of Communications, and before that, as the Director of Communications and Rapid Response. The Leadership Conference is the nation's oldest, largest, and most diverse civil and human rights coalition, and The Education Fund is the research and education arm of the coalition.
Prior to The Leadership Conference/The Education Fund, Inouye served for eight years as an appointee in the administration of President Barack Obama. From October 2014 to January 2017, he was the Press Secretary and Acting Senior Advisor for Intergovernmental and External Affairs at the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. At USCIS, Inouye advised the Director and Chief of Staff on issues relating to intergovernmental and external affairs; coordinating internally and externally with stakeholders and organizations.
From February 2009 to October 2014, Inouye was the Director of Specialty Media in the White House Office of Communications. In that capacity, he served as the communications officer for a variety of specialty media outlets, including: LGBTQ, AAPI, Native Americans, Veterans and Military Families, Youth/College, Faith, Rural and Ethnic. As an official spokesperson for the White House, Inouye handled incoming media inquiries regarding those groups and targeted outreach to specialty media.
Prior to his position in the White House, Inouye was a spokesperson for the Obama-Biden Presidential Inaugural Committee. Before that, he was the Constituency Communications Coordinator at the Obama for America campaign. Prior to the Obama campaign, Inouye was the Communications Director for Congressman Jerrold Nadler (NY-8). Before his experience on the Hill, Inouye was the Senior Legislative Communications Associate at the Washington Legislative Office of the American Civil Liberties Union.

Vanessa N. Gonzalez, MSW, MPA, most recently served as Assistant Vice President for Outreach and Strategy at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU). In that work, she partnered with teams across the university to increase and strengthen outreach to communities of color and positively influence their higher education experience.
Prior to that, Gonzalez served as the Director of Outreach and Engagement in the Office of Legislation and Congressional Affairs for the U.S. Department of Education. Before serving in the Obama administration, Gonzalez was Director of Latino Leadership and Engagement for Planned Parenthood Federation of America and worked as a family and child therapist at Southwest Human Development Center in Phoenix, Arizona. She also served in the administration of former Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano, held various high-profile political campaign positions, and held the role of Communications Director for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.
Gonzalez currently sits on the board of Inclusv, a nonprofit established to ensure that staff, consultants, and vendors of color are found at every professional level within advocacy, policy, and campaigns. She is also on the board of the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health, the only national reproductive justice organization dedicated to advancing the health, dignity, and justice for the 26 million Latinas, their families, and communities in the United States. Gonzalez received her Bachelor's degree from Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas and her Master's degree in social work and public administration from Arizona State University.

Wade Henderson is the Principal of Wade J. Henderson, LLC. Henderson serves as an advisor to major corporations and non-profits on matters relating to civil and human rights.
He currently serves as the interim president of The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and The Leadership Conference Education Fund, organizations he previously led for more than 20 years. The Leadership Conference is the nation's premier civil and human rights coalition charged by its diverse membership of more than 200 national organizations to promote and protect the civil and human rights of all persons in the United States. The Education Fund is its research, communications, and public education arm.
After taking the helm of The Leadership Conference in 1996, he worked diligently to address emerging policy issues of concern to the civil and human rights community and to strengthen the effectiveness of the coalition. Under his stewardship, The Leadership Conference became one of the nation's most effective organizations in advocating for progressive civil and human rights policies.
Henderson recently retired as the University of the District of Columbia, David A. Clarke School of Law's first Joseph L. Rauh, Jr. Chair of Public Interest Law, a position he held since 1999. Henderson is well known for his expertise on a wide range of civil rights, civil liberties, and human rights issues, and is the author of numerous articles on civil rights and public policy.
Henderson currently serves on the University of the District of Columbia Foundation Board; FDIC Advisory Committee on Economic Inclusion; the board of directors of the Center for Responsible Lending; and the board of trustees of the Educational Testing Service.
Prior to his role with The Leadership Conference, Henderson was the Washington Bureau director of the NAACP; associate director of the Washington national office of the ACLU; and executive director of the Council on Legal Education Opportunity.
Henderson is the recipient of numerous awards and honors including the Hubert H. Humphrey Award for Civil and Human Rights; the Congressional Black Caucus Phoenix Award; the U.S. State Department's Eleanor Roosevelt Human Rights Award; and the AFLAC Lifetime Achievement Award.
Henderson is a graduate of Howard University and the Rutgers University School of Law, and holds honorary doctorates from CUNY Queens College School of Law and Gettysburg College. He is a member of the Bars of the District of Columbia and the U.S. Supreme Court. Henderson is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
