HeartFirst Records is a DIY Hardcore Punk label that releases bands from all over the world. The label is located in Munich, Germany. It started back in 1990 and was an extension of doing a fanzine, running a record distribution since 1985, and tour managing bands in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Just as the main reason of the record distribution was to get records cheap for myself and my friends, the label exists primarily to release records with my friend's bands and have a good time doing it. The label started out in Berlin but relocated to Munich in 1999. Most releases are on 7" vinyl because that is the true Punk vinyl music format. Style-wise the label is not attempting to follow the latest musical trends but is dedicated to working with our friends' bands from various parts of the world that have a root in old style Hardcore Punk musically and attitude-wise.
