H. Fisk Johnson is Chairman and CEO, and Chairman of the Board of S. C. Johnson & Son, Inc. Fisk joined SC Johnson in 1987 and he has served in a variety of senior level management and marketing positions, both domestically and internationally. Fisk Johnson is the fifth generation Johnson family leader of the 134-year-old company. Fisk serves as a member of the US President's Council of Advisors for Science and Technology. He also serves on the US Trade Representatives Advisory Committee for Trade Policy an Negotiation (since 2002) and the Consumer Goods Forum Board of Directors. Fisk served on the Cornell University Board of Trustees from 1993 to 2001 and now is a Trustee Emeritus and Presidential Counselor. From 2002 to 2011, he served on the Board of Directors of Conservation International. Previously, he served as Director of Energizer Holdings, Inc. and Johnson Outdoors Inc.. He also was a member of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development from 2004 to 2008. He was named Florida Southern College's 77th Honorary Chancellor and received an Honorary Doctorate. Fisk also received an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Wilfrid Laurier University in June of 2011. Fisk holds a B.A. in Chemistry and Physics; an M. Eng. (Masters of Engineering); M.S. in Physics; MBA; and Ph.D. in Physics, all from Cornell University. Fisk is a devoted father who enjoys spending a great deal of time with his daughter. He is an accomplished pilot with over 2000 hours and flown multiple aircraft and is also an avid scuba diver. He also enjoys many outdoor sports.

In his early years running his new parquet flooring business, Samuel worked tirelessly. He was salesman, bookkeeper and business manager. Five days a week, he toured the countryside selling flooring to contractors for fine homes, churches, hotels and public buildings.

When he died in 1919 at age 86, Samuel left behind a thriving business, an enduring tradition of philanthropy and a family company devoted to making life better for families. On his passing, a eulogy in the local paper celebrated his most important contribution: "To enumerate the charity of this grand old man is quite a task; he led a most simple life, living plainly but lavish in his gifts. His special interest was in young people and helping them to help themselves. No one will ever know the help he has given to the needy and struggling humanity." Samuel struggled most of his life, but when he succeeded, he thought not of himself, but how to give back. That's a lesson we still try to follow to this day. We are all certainly better off thanks to his enduring legacies.
