Danielle Murtagh joined the team in Summer 2023, with a strong background in communication and organisation.
She believes that her background will make streamlining processes and systems beneficial for the team and ultimately our clients.
This is her first role in the sustainability field however, she is very personally interested and is excited to make a positive difference with Building Energy Experts.

- Trainee Building Sustainability Surveyor
Ed recently joined Building Energy Experts in Autumn 2023 as a Trainee Building Sustainability surveyor. He's always had a passion for the environment and sustainable living.
Ed started his professional Sustainability journey studying Renewable Energy Systems at the University of South Wales. More recently he worked as a Retrofit Surveyor looking at different ways to improve the energy efficiency of both period and modern properties, creating detailed and accurate reports for customers, outlining the most cost-effective options to a sustainable future.
In this position Ed is looking forward to having a hands-on role and learning new skills to better help people achieve their sustainability goals.
Having worked in sustainability in the built environment for the past 10 years, Jack set up Building Energy Experts to provide a truly independent post-construction testing service to help clients deliver the "As Designed" performance at the "As Built" stage.
Jack's focus on bridging this performance gap drives the company's approach to solving clients' challenges.
He is an ATTMA Level 2 Air Tightness Tester, a qualified and experienced SAP Assessor (OCDEA), BREEAM AP, Part F Ventilation Commissioner, Passivhaus Air Tester, and Sustainability Consultant.

Jack became the initial team member to join Building Energy Expert in the capacity of Building Sustainability Surveyor. Fueled by a deep interest in environmental issues and sustainability, he earned an Upper Second Class Honours degree in Environmental Geography from Cardiff University.
Attaining various qualifications, Jack became a certified ATTMA Level 1 & Passivhaus Air Tightness Tester, Part F Ventilation Commissioner, Domestic Energy Assessor, and Retrofit Assessor. Additionally, he received a Level 3 award in Energy Efficiency of Older and Traditional Buildings. His dedication and contributions earned him recognition at the 2023 Retrofit Academy Awards, where he won the Retrofit Assessor of the Year Award for his pivotal role in developing a retrofit data collection app.
Presently serving as the Head of Operations, Jack oversees operational efficiency and spearheads the implementation of innovative solutions for the successful execution of numerous projects. His commitment lies in promoting sustainable practices, aligning with Building Energy Expert's mission to make the world a greener place.

Having graduated from the University of Southampton in 2019 with a BSc in Biology and Marine Biology, Joshua has a strong desire to work in a sector which could help us all live a little more sustainably.
Joshua is interested in this line of work not only for its ability to help action measurable change, but also from a technological perspective. As the industry and regulation evolve so does the ways we measure and record how sustainable a building can be.
Joshua is very excited to get started and start soaking up all available knowledge about this rapidly expanding sector. With hopes to become a qualified air tester and retrofit surveyor in the future
Kerys joined the team in Autumn 2023 having moved to the Bristol area. With a strong background in administration, Kerys has a love for efficiency and organisation.
Passionate about the environment, she's been a proud vegetarian for over 8 years. This is Kerys' first role in sustainability, so she is excited to be contributing to such an amazing initiative within Building Energy Experts

Oliver joined the team in August 2022. He has a deep passion for environmental sustainability which drove him to achieve a first-class BSc (Hons) Geography degree from the University of Bristol.
Oliver has quickly become an indispensable member of the team, gaining his qualification as a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA), Retrofit Assessor, and qualified ATTMA Level 1 Air Tester to support the increasing amount of retrofit work we carry out.
Oliver enjoys working on-site to help clients meet and exceed their energy targets, to comply with building regulations.
Olivia joined the team in January 2024, bringing expertise from her MSc in Marketing Communications.
She is excited to leverage strategic and creative marketing to drive positive change and contribute to Building Energy Expert's mission to revolutionise energy efficiency and create a more sustainable future.

Rich has an interest in the built environment and sustainability that developed while completing a BSc in Architectural Engineering from Plymouth University.

Ryan joined the team in pursuit of a hands-on sustainability role where an eye for detail and head for numbers are crucial. Earning a Biochemistry degree at the University of Birmingham helped Ryan develop a passion for driving positive change through technology. His background in cancer diagnostics and laboratory work has quickly made him an invaluable member of the team.
Ryan is a qualified ATTMA Level 2 Air Tightness Tester and Passivhaus Air Tester, and looks forward to gaining more qualifications and experience to better help clients exceed their energy targets.

Having recently graduated from The Open University in 2023 studying Environmental studies, Sam is excited to get his journey started in a sustainability career. He has been passionate about the environment and sustainability from a young age, and is now eager to make use of his knowledge and passion to contribute to achieving sustainability goals.
Sam is committed to developing his learning and gaining new skills whilst working with BEE to optimise efficiency of buildings, reaching sustainability targets, and improving society standards whilst improving environmental impact.

Stanley Taylor brings a brilliant combination of onsite construction experience and a degree in Architecture to the team. Stan's experience working on construction sites complements his academic understanding of thermal efficiency and building sustainability.
His experience helps the whole team continue to bridge the performance gap between desk-based research and onsite data collection.
Tegan joined the team in January 2024. She has a passion for sustainability developed through her MSc (Hons) Biology degree from the University of Bristol, also providing her with strong organisational and data-handling skills. Tegan is passionate about pursuing actionable change in her career, making sustainability solutions accessible for all individuals.
