Alan is a multi-platform journalist with nearly 30 years' experience across newspapers, trade magazines and online publishers.
A proven expert in cross-industry communications, he is a versatile content creator for all modern media platforms.
Originally a sports reporter and editor, he moved into the automotive repair and claims sector in 2015.

Now a leading independent business and management consultant, Alan spent the early part of his career working in health insurance, where he negotiated commercial contracts.
Various promotions then saw him leave his native Glasgow and eventually settle in the South East, from where he ran BUPA's Commercial Sales in the UK.
After a spell spent working in life insurance, during which time he gained the IOD Diploma in Company Direction, Alan joined Ellis and Buckle (Cunningham Lindsey) and became MD of their network, Property Solutions.
Alan started his own consultation business in 2007 and guides, mentors and connects key people who want to move business forward. Away from work, he is a regular at Tottenham Hotspur and a lifelong fan of Clyde in the Scottish League.

Because he is passionate about providing innovative solutions and connecting those working within claims, Chris is at the forefront of the ever-changing claims landscape.
Kerry has worked for ILC since its inception, having previously worked in finance for the majority of her career.
She's therefore responsible for the group's finances, but Kerry is also a familiar face at our events in her capacity as a key member of the leadership team.
Since ILC was formed, Kerry has built and maintained good relations with people within the Motor sector and hopes to do the same with the Home and Commercial division.
When she's not being kept busy by ILC's accounts, Kerry is a full-time mum to daughters Daisy and Polly. She's also a keen traveller and loves staying active, she's a regular at the gym and on the tennis court.

Mark is the co-founder of ARC360 - the ILC forum specific to the automotive incident repair community.
Mark has 20 years' experience within the automotive repair industry, both UK-wide and internationally. He has seen the industry from every angle - claims, OEM, repair and supply - and has a real passion for continuing to raise the professional status and prospects of the sector.
Mark holds an MBA in strategic management and leadership.
Away from his automotive working life, Mark is a sports coach, competitive triathlete, and ‘wantrapreneur'.
Nic Sproul - Chief Commercial Officer
Having studied Events Management at Leeds Metropolitan University, Rachael is the perfect person to organise all of ILC's conferences and networking events.
After graduating, Rachael worked for a Leicestershire company that specialised in organising business networking events and award ceremonies.
She then moved on to the Royal Air Forces Association where she worked on large scale fundraising and awareness events.
Outside of work, Rachael is an adrenaline junkie and mother to a high spirited 8 year old.
