Masketeers is a group of individuals with a passion for helping our community fight COVID - 19. We believe that a simple actions can make a difference in the community. Our team works tirelessly each day to make and deliver fabric masks to the most vulnerable and underserved in our community... We all met over social media and began working together in mid-March 2020 under the leadership of Dr. Cathy Wang, a family physician, that believed fabric masks could help stop the spread of the virus in Nursing Homes. We are now providing masks to first responders, homeless and underserved families. Since March of 2020 we have made and delivered over 5500 masks to families and individuals living and working in Contra Costa County... Over 2000 people are homeless in Contra Costa County alone.
