The Bay of Plenty Youth Development Trust was set up in 2017 in response to the growing inequalities developing for some rangatahi in Tauranga. Our goal is to improve the lives of young people by delivering inspiring programmes built on our five core values... Our approach is focussed on a holistic wrap-around support for our youth, ensuring we cater to all aspects of their health and wellbeing, adopting Te Whare Tapa Wha model across all our programmes (Fale Fono in our Aiga Programme)... We're in the process of upgrading the Kulim Boatshed at Kulim Park where we deliver our Ki Tai (To the Sea) marine-based programme.
