Carl Larson Cancer Center is the only cancer center in southern West Virginia to offer multiple cancer treatment modalities as well as ancillary patient care services under one roof. Typically, cancer centers can only offer one particular treatment modality or service, therefore, the patient must travel from one clinic to the next clinic to have their needs met. Often, the patient must do this each day until the completion of their therapy. Traveling to multiple sites each day is expensive, time-consuming and, very often, causes stress and fatigue for the patient. Also, if a complication arises during treatment, the patient's primary Chemotherapy and Radiation Therapy physicians are at different locations which can cause difficulty or delay in adjusting the patient's care...
