Amy Parkes

She was the clinical lead on the regional acute neurology ward before taking on a specialist role for nine years supporting adults with MND (Motor Neurone Disease.) Amy has experience in many forms of acute rehabilitation, including intensive care, neurosurgery, stroke rehabilitation & acute neurology. Whilst working in the MND team she also gained valuable knowledge from working in the community & supporting people living at home & in care settings. Amy has also taught at the University of Central Lancashire, on the undergraduate physiotherapy degree courses & for over four years, supported students whilst sharing her passion for physiotherapy. In 2021, Amy joined Dynamic Neurophysiotherapy, following Suzanne, Helen & Vicky, who she had previously worked with at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. Alongside her work with ourselves, both in & out of the clinic, she continues to work in a part-time position for the NHS supporting individuals with neuromuscular conditions.

Helen Bonney

Read More... Helen has highly specialist skills & expertise in managing patients with complex physical & cognitive presentations. She was able to use these skills during the pandemic by assisting the NHS in managing clients with complex rehabilitation needs at the Sue Ryder Rehabilitation Centre. Helen began working at Dynamic Neurophysiotherapy in 2014 alongside her NHS role. She became a full-time team member in 2016 & her experience has continued to flourish through her private work.

Jo Pretten

In the past 10 years, Jo has worked within the NHS as a Clinical Specialist in the Stroke Team & is now involved with the teaching of both students & junior staff. Jo has worked within the private sector for 10 years, providing highly specialist Neurological Rehabilitation. During this time, she has continued to further her knowledge by completing many Bobath Courses to Advanced Level. During the pandemic, Jo returned to the NHS to work in both Acute Stroke & Stroke Rehab. She is committed to continued professional development with a passion to provide specialised Neurological physiotherapy to all of her private patients.

Suzanne's breadth of experience includes working on Neurosurgery, Neurology, Neurological Outpatients, in the Neuromuscular clinics & as the Specialist Physiotherapist within the Motor Neurone Disease (NMD) team.
