Alan Chodak

Alan attained his Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license in New York in 1985 and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 1973. He founded the firm in 1988 with Steve Gordon. Alan provides tax and financial advice and assistance in tax compliance.

Carol A. Cotterman

Job Titles:

Carol, an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Business, has been with LPWolch CPAs, P.C. since 1991. She came to the firm with corporate experience managing an area of the accounting department for a chain of retail catalog stores. Carol works with a variety of clients in accounting, bookkeeping, and preparation of income, payroll and sales tax returns and small retirement plan reports. In addition, she has an operational role at the firm. Carol earned her AAS degree in business from Monroe Community College.

Charles Chapin

Chuck's public accounting career has spanned over 25 years. He has been a part of Gordon, Chodak , Chapin & Wolch, CPAs, PC. for over 14. Prior to joining this practice, he spent over 10 years at a large regional CPA firm. His practice concentrates on tax consulting and compliance for closely-held businesses, individuals, trust and estates. He has experience with clients and business owners involved in real estate; health care; manufacturing; multi-state taxation issues; entity selection and succession planning.

Cyrena Schenk

Cyrena has been with the company since 2011. She oversees the company's financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. Also performs daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments. Cyrena lives in the Rochester area with her family and enjoys traveling and sports.

Donald J. Onimus

Don, a certified public accountant (CPA) licensed in New York State and Florida, and Master of Business Administration (MBA). He joined the firm full-time in 1989 and had been associated part-time since 1982. Don is a practicing public accountant providing tax and financial advice and assistance in tax compliance, financial management, and computer consulting.

Donna W. Hall

Donna recently joined Gordon, Chodak, Chapin & Wolch, CPAs, P.C. after many years employed as an estate and trust paralegal for one of the larger law firms in the area. Donna specializes in fiduciary income tax preparation and planning, estate and gift tax return preparation as well as court accountings. Donna also assists in the preparation of personal income tax returns. Donna attended SUNY Geneseo and earned her BA degree in Sociology. Donna lives in Rochester and enjoys the varied city life, traveling and spending time with her three children and grandchildren.

Lorraine P. Wolch

Lorraine, a certified public accountant (CPA) licensed in New York State and Florida, and Master of Business Administration (MBA), founded the firm in 1981 as a limited professional activity to augment her role as an instructor at the College of Business, Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). In 1986, she resigned from teaching to devote full time to the business. Before 1981, she was a member of the tax and audit staff of Deloitte & Touche LLP. Lorraine started there after graduating with an MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1976. Her BA is in Economics from Harpur College, SUNY Binghamton, now Binghamton University. Lorraine has been active in many professional and community organizations. Most notable is as a tax instructor for the Foundation for Accounting Education, Board Member of the Rochester Chapter of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Greater Rochester Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners, and Temple B'rith Kodesh. From time to time, she has also made presentations sponsored by the Small Business Administration and the Monroe County Annual Tax Planning Institute. Lorraine is a past committee member for the United Way of Greater Rochester. Lorraine currently serves on the Accounting Advisory Board, Saunders College of Business (RIT), Board of Trustees for the Jewish Community Federation, is Treasurer for Tempro Development Co., Inc., and Treasurer for the Estate Planning Council of Rochester.

Michael J. Purol

Michael, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in accounting, has been with Gordon, Chodak, Chapin, & Wolch since November 2021. He has experience in various roles in private industry, including treasury, accounts payable, and individual income tax preparation. Currently, Michael assists in the preparation of business and individual income tax returns. Michael recently completed all 4 parts of the CPA exam and is completing his experience requirement for licensure.

Patricia J. Stockslader

Patty joined Gordon, Chodak, Chapin & Wolch, CPAs, P.C. In July 1998 as a Staff Accountant. Prior to that time, she worked for another CPA firm for two years and before that for twelve years as an Office Manager and Accountant for a Consulting Engineering Firm. Patty's work experience has made her proficient in Personal, Corporate and Partnership income tax preparation for our clients who are from a multitude of industries and sizes. Patty assists many of our clients with Tax planning; this includes Individuals, Corporations and Partnerships. She also is involved in the preparation of Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Sales Tax Returns. Patty is proficient in QuickBooks and does bookkeeping and support for a large variety of our clients and also assists clients who need help getting their books on track

Robin E. Nadeau

Robin provides vital administrative support to the accountants here at Gordon, Chodak, Chapin & Wolch CPAs, P.C. not only assisting in the coordination of income tax filing and financial statements but ensuring the Partners and staff are meeting deadlines and keeping up with AICPA standards. Robin graduated from Broome Community College with an Associates degree in word processing and minor in accounting. Experienced in working with accounting firms, Robin joined Gordon, Chodak, Chapin & Wolch, CPAs P.C. in 2008.

Steven Gordon

Steven Gordon has been a practicing Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for over 30 years and a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) for over 20 years. He is the founding member of the accounting firm Gordon, Chodak Chapin & Wolch CPAs, P.C. In addition, Steven is a licensed real estate broker.
