Andy Schwartz - Chief Legal Officer, Chief Procurement Officer

Before joining Lion, Andy had a brief career with a private legal firm in Washington D.C. Andy started his career at LION in 1994 and has earned progressively greater responsibilities as a 4th generation member of his family's business. While at LION, Andy has held a variety of positions and responsibilities including product management, strategic technologies, purchasing and legal. Andy's wide range of interests, combined with his strong legal background result in him bringing a unique perspective to the business of LION. Andy's commitment to the long term success of the LION organization is a driving force. Andy graduated in 1986 with a bachelor's degree from the College of Social Studies at Wesleyan University (Middletown, CT.). He earned a Juris Doctor degree from Washington and Lee University, School of Law (Lexington, VA) in 1992. Andy lives in Dayton, OH with his wife Pam, and their three children; Devorah, Judah, and Seth.

Dave Cook

Dave joined LION in August of 2012. In 2014 the R&D/lnnovation responsibility was added. In this role, he is responsible for all LION manufacturing; including TotalCare, Supply Chain, and the Innovation group. Prior to joining LION Cook worked for Cooper Industries since 2005, most recently as VP, North American Operations . Before joining Lion, Dave served as Vice President of Operations at Apex Tool Group in Sparks, MD. There he was responsible for overseeing and directing three North American Apex Tool Group Power Tool plant. He brings with him 20 years of diversified experience in Operations, Lean Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management. Dave obtained his MBA from Regis University in Denver, CO and his BS degree in Business Management from the College of Mount Saint Joseph in Cincinnati. Dave is originally from Cincinnati, he now lives in Mason, Ohio with his wife Kelly, and their children.

Deanna Jensen

Deanna joined LION in November 2018. Before joining LION, Deanna joined us from Taylor Communications, a billion dollar revenue customized print and digital communication solutions provider, where she held the role of Finance Director. In this role, she supported their Procurement and Operations groups while also being a key member of the team that implemented Oracle systems and reporting across the multi-site organization. Prior to this role, she held multiple leadership roles in Finance at the five billion dollar revenue NCR Corporation.  Key experiences included Controller, Global Operations for the Consumables Division supporting 11 manufacturing facilities across 6 countries and Director of Accounting for the North America Shared Service Center where she managed a team of thirty associates.  Deanna has planning, controlling and audit experience in global manufacturing and service environments, is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Six Sigma green belt.  In addition, she has her BS degree in Accounting with a minor in Business Information Systems from Miami University in Oxford, OH.

Martin joined LION in 2018 leading the Sales and Marketing department. He is responsible for Europe, Asia, Middle-East and Pacific. Martin studied at the Erasmus University and Nyenrode University with a master's in management and economics. He has more than 20 Years experience in International Business, 17 of which are in the Fire Rescue Market, and more than 5 years experience in international projects. Martin's mission is to increase the market share for LION Training Solutions and Products globally on a professional way, by doing what we promise and with special values for Fire Rescuers.

Mark Smith

Mark joined LION in June of 2014. Mark is responsible for the sales, customer service and inside sales, and the marketing group. Mark brings a great appreciation for the importance of a strong dealer network. He has demonstrated a history delivering sales results while living core values: fostering customer intimacy, teamwork and integrity. Before joining LION Mark held a National Sales Manager position at E.D. Bullard, a leading manufacturer of PPE and thermal imagers for the fire industry and law enforcement. Mark served as VP, Sales & Marketing for Point Blank Enterprises, which specializes in ballistic technologies, and at Galls (an Aramark company). Mark studied Marketing & Sales Management at Kellogg School of Management. He received an MBA at Bellarmine University, and a BA in Organizational Management from Midway College. Mark lives in the Cincinnati area.

Steve Schwartz - CEO

Steve has earned progressively greater responsibilities as a 4th generation member of his family's business, where he started his career in 1989. For the first decade, he worked in the company's uniform division on the client reporting team, as the head of plant scheduling, and finally as a sales executive. In 1998 he was named Senior Vice President of the protective clothing business before being named Executive Vice President of LION in 2002. In 2006, he was appointed President and CEO. During this time, Steve has led the company's development of innovative products and services that have changed the playing field in LION's markets, and has led the expansion of the company internationally, built 5 joint ventures and made 5 acquisitions. Before joining LION, Steve served as a co-founder and Vice President of a New York City-based local area networking consulting company. Steve graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Swarthmore College (Swarthmore, PA) and received his MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management (Evanston, IL). Steve lives in Cincinnati, OH with his partner, Felice Marcus. Steve has two adult children: Olivia and Sam.
