I have spent much of my career working in the community services sector for not for profit organisations in mental health, disability and justice. I am a passionate and enthusiastic leader who thrives on creating a positive work culture that is safe and gives people the tools to do their jobs to the best of their abilities and provide the best quality services. Halo is a tremendous organisation with so many staff dedicated to improving the lives of those we support. After working in remote Australia over a decade, I decided to move to Perth to join my family. Dr Carla Boehl, Manager Asset Strategy and Planning at Fremantle Ports. Dr Boehl currently serves as non-executive director of halo and Water Corporation, is an advisory board member of Sentient Hubs and member of the advisory council for Curtin University School of Mechanical and Civil Engineering. She is also advisory editorial board member of WA Defence Review. Prior to her role at Fremantle Ports, Carla worked as Innovation Manager at Monadelphous Maintenance, Digital Operations Manager at Westrac CAT Technology and Principal Asset Management at Rio Tinto. She has received engineering awards in Australia and overseas, is a Fellow Member of Engineers Australia and Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and McKinsey Alumni.

My name is Jodie and I'm the Quality and Work Health Safety Manager at HALO. My personal experiences with family members receiving Aged and Disability supports sparked my passion for working in the area of quality. Having worked in many roles, including starting out in support work whilst studying, I also feel very strongly towards ensuring our wonderful staff are safe at work with the unique challenges community care can present. These reasons combined are why I'm proud to work at HALO; as each day I'm working with an incredible team who share the same passion for safe and quality care for our incredible clients and staff.

Kevin joined HALO as a Board Member in 2015. Kevin has been a director of several not-for-profit boards including the Dale Christian School for 25 years. Kevin is a finance professional with more than 40 years of government experience in financial reporting, budgeting and audit and risk which makes him a highly experienced finance and governance professional. Kevin brings a professionalism and an energy to his roles with a motivation derived from assisting organisations solve complex problems and realise improved and sustainable performance. Kevin is currently Manager Finance at a State Government agency and is passionate to see people stay at home for as long as possible as it's the best place to be if its clean and livable. To him being at home gives you a longer life.

Nancy Lim

My goal is to use my skills and knowledge to assist Halo to effectively steward its resources and support its clients, people and the broader community in the best way possible. Thomas Parayil

Thomas is a dedicated and values-based leader who is passionate about helping halo support people of all ages and abilities. Thomas was appointed to the halo Board in October 2020. Thomas is a chartered engineer and a Fellow of Engineers Australia, a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Western Australia.

Veronica Phillips
