NEDFLY KNIVES

My name is Caden Bostic and my company is Nedfly Knives. I made my first knife when I was 15 years old but I've felt a need to create for as long as I can remember... Currently, I work for Shea and Lena Stackhouse of Stackhouse knives in Wellington. In between teaching knifemaking as an assistant tutor and making stock for their shop, I work on my own knives out of their space. Seeing as half my week is spent teaching knifemaking or making forges and tools, I am a part time knifemaker but hope to go full time one day. The ultimate dream is to have my own workshop that I can fill with tools, teach classes out of, and make my own knives... Making my first knife was extremely satisfying. I took random pieces of scrap that I had found at school, in dumpsters and under my house and made an object with them. I gave new life and meaning to what once was a pile of useless scrap.
