Christine Barr

A former homeschool parent, Mrs. Barr enrolled her two youngest children in OLR in 2010 when circumstances made it too difficult to continue homeschooling. A strong proponent of Catholic education, she believes that dedicated families are instrumental to the success of a Catholic school. Through the years, she has been a frequent volunteer, substitute teacher, and has taught 2nd Grade Religious Education for the parish. She presently works in the school office, primarily in admissions and parent-school relations.

Daniel Bennett

Dr. Bennett is a native of Spartanburg, SC, born and raised just up the street from Greenville. His pursuit of history and especially of medieval studies led him to convert to the Catholic faith in 2015. Dr. Bennett acquired considerable experience in Latin and medieval philosophy during his graduate studies, and also has a minor concentration in the Church Fathers from his doctoral program. He has experience teaching history, theology, Scripture, English, and academic writing from courses he taught in grad school and as an adjunct professor at Wofford in the fall of 2021. Dr. Bennett began his high school teaching as a part-time Latin teacher in the fall of 2021 at OLR, and quickly moved into a more expanded role, teaching more Latin and Scripture the following spring. He is very excited about Our Lady of the Rosary's classical approach to Catholic education and its commitment to fostering traditional Catholic culture among its students, families, and faculty.

David Haggard

Mr. Haggard comes to OLR following a ten-year career at Marist Catholic High School in Eugene, Oregon. He is a dynamic religion teacher, retreat leader, sports coach, and is the kind of person who loves to tackle new challenges. Mr. Haggard has a master's degree in Theology and a minor in Greek. He is thrilled by OLR's classical curriculum, and we are equally excited by his ability to contribute to it. Mr. Haggard's role will have two primary focuses. First, as Dean of Student Life he will have primary responsibility for jumpstarting and organizing sports programs, clubs, house activities, and retreats. Second, he will teach religion classes, particularly at the Upper School level. Mr. Haggard's educational background has also prepared him to teach Western Civilization, Latin, Logic, Rhetoric, and even Physical Education classes. Just not all in the same year! Mr. Haggard is passionate about our Catholic faith. That passion, combined with boundless energy and new ideas, ensure that he will quickly make a positive mark on our growing school.

Dr. Perlita Martorana

A lifelong learner, Dr. Perlita Martorana holds a deep passion for education. As a young child, she thirsted to learn about science and pursued a career in medicine. Dr. Martorana loved her pediatrics practice but felt called to fully devote her time to forming her own children. Her zeal for teaching comes from over 20 years of home-educating her four children and other students. She is delighted to share the wonder of God's universe with young science scholars. She appreciates the value of learning science from a classical model which encourages students to become virtuous young people in God's Kingdom while growing in appreciation of their world. She hopes to impart a sense of curiosity and a desire for lifelong learning to the students. She is a native Southern Californian and is grateful to be warmly welcomed in Greenville. She is thrilled to begin this new chapter of teaching at OLR.

Katie Fowler

Mrs. Fowler is our Director of Enhanced Learning. She coordinates the supportive methods for our gifted, exceptional, and twice exceptional students. Mrs. Fowler has a passion for working with students on their individual levels, honoring their human dignity and respecting their Imago Dei. Mrs. Fowler is also our Arrowsmith Program Site Administrator and one of our Arrowsmith Program cognitive instructors. She has been teaching our Arrowsmith students since the program's inception at OLR in 2012. Mrs. Fowler joined the OLR school and church community in 2010 when she enrolled her son in the OLR middle school. Her son is an OLR Alumni, and he was in the first Arrowsmith Program class at OLR. Under Mrs. Fowler's direction, the OLR Arrowsmith Program students have many success stories including winning an International Arrowsmith Program exercise competition.

Kelly Bricco

Mrs. Bricco has been teaching at OLR since 2005 and has taught many grade levels over the years. All of her children have attended OLR, and her husband is an alumnus. She has a strong background in math and technology. Mrs. Bricco teaches to the needs of each child so that all learners can feel capable and successful. Her belief is that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and inspiring atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, socially, and spiritually.

Megan Eaton

Megan brings over 10 years of experience in the customer service field as well as several years in homeschool education. She thoroughly enjoys organizing and working on projects around the office and is always happy to be of assistance to whomever needs it. She and her family became parishioners and members at Our Lady of the Rosary Church and School one year ago and have been blessed to become acquainted with so many faithful and devout families. She feels privileged to be working among so many fantastic people and looks forward to this new school year.

Rebecca Lawson

She has been teaching General Music, Chorus, and Instrumental Music, as well as Spanish since 2002. She found a love for Catholic education in 2013 when she and her husband enrolled their 2 very young sons in preschool at The Catholic Church of St. Ann in Marietta, GA. Mrs. Lawson has previously taught music at The Mother of God School in Gaithersburg, MD as well as St. Joesph Catholic Church and School in Anderson, SC. She is tremendously excited to be joining the OLR faculty where she will be teaching music by implementing and specializing in the Ward Music Method. Her teaching methods are to build strong foundational skills in music through singing which greatly enhances musical skills, and understanding. The skills that students learn from the Ward Method translate successfully into greater achievement in learning to play musical instruments. Mrs. Lawson has a love for Music History, Music Theory, Orchestration, learning to play musical instruments, Gregorian Chant, and Hymnology. She is most excited about the classical model of Catholic education. This will allow her to fully return to her classically trained roots in her classroom to create and explore all aspects of music with her students through goodness, beauty, and truth as our dedication to God. Mrs. Lawson is a native of Fair Play, SC where she currently resides with her husband, with whom she shares a love for theater, and performance art. They both are looking forward to sharing their knowledge by volunteering with the theater program at OLR this year. They have 2 sons who are enrolled at OLR this year in the 5th, and 7th grades as well.

Tommy Curtin

Mr. Curtin came to OLR in 2017 from Holy Spirit Preparatory School in Atlanta, GA, where he served as Upper School Principal, Assistant Head of School, and a member of the faculty. Mr. Curtin has enjoyed teaching a wide variety of courses during his 14+ years in Catholic education including U.S. History, Government, Moral Theology, Latin, Music Theory, and Theatre Arts. He believes in providing students an inspiring education rich in truth, goodness, and beauty.
