Belinda Parsons

Job Titles:
  • Director
Scott and Belinda started the business, Scott's Mowing NQ in 2011. Prior to this Belinda was a Secondary Teacher and worked as a North Qld Territory Manager for Professionals Real Estate for 10 years. Although born in Brisbane, Belinda moved to Cairns in 2009 and very much considers herself a local. Scott's Mowing NQ started small and over the years grew rapidly and therefore enabled Belinda the opportunity to leave her real estate and teaching career to pursue a full-time position alongside her husband Scott, because of the rapid successful growth of Scott's Mowing NQ, which is now known as Pinnacle Landscape Solutions (PLSNQ). Belinda brings 12 years of experience in the gardening and landscaping industry and 20+ years dealing with clients and the public to Pinnacle Landscape Solutions (PLSNQ). There is a very close connection with working in real estate and in the gardening and landscaping industry. First impressions are everything as any real estate agent will confirm and when potential buyers turn up for the first time at a property the gardens and the landscaping is the first thing that will always catch their eye. Often a buyer decides prior to even stepping in the house. Belinda has always been passionate about real estate and helping agents have a point of difference in their Territory and therefore I feel helping clients present their house in the best possible way from the minute their potential buyers arrive allows Scott and I to invest more passion into our Business. It's about helping clients reach their end goal.

Jason Grady

Job Titles:
  • Business Development
  • Member of the Pinnacle Landscape Solutions ( PLSNQ ) Team
Jason is the newest member of the Pinnacle Landscape Solutions (PLSNQ) team in a role that was designed to specifically suit him. In everyday situations, Jason is happy to be known as: Ja. Jason is originally, from Sydney having moved to Cairns in 1983 with family. My primary school education was completed at Machans Beach, after which I attended Smithfield State High for years 8 through 12. Aside from calling Cairns home being that most of my life has now been spent here, it is the lifestyle that allows for more interaction and involvement time with the following parts of our lives that I like: family, hobbies, interests, community engagement. Another big drawcard I find is that the North Qld area is far more community orientated and supportive that the bigger southern cities. My overall time in the broader construction industry amounts to 32 years. Jason has been part of project delivery and management teams responsible for projects ranging from $20k through to $15m in on ground value. Prior to Jason's recruitment at Pinnacle Landscape Solutions (PLSNQ), he was heavily focused on vertical construction and civil infrastructure, with the last seven years taking a more Landscape Maintenance and Landscape Construction direction. The scopes of works involved as some examples are routine general mowing, education facility maintenance, sport field upgrades to NRL Night Game Standards, new education facility landscape construction, and major highway landscape construction works to name a few. Jason gets enjoyment out of watching a brown construction site, or an overgrown existing property and everything in-between take shape and become a visually pleasing and functional space that either the community, direct residents or the clients and staff can utilise and take pleasure in. The other part of the satisfaction comes from assisting to grow the Pinnacle Landscape Solutions (PLSNQ) business and its team in the areas of personal and financial stability in themselves, while at the same time as a team we are achieving the first point above. During Jason's past 32 years in the construction sector, he's been faced with many types of situations and challenges, the following are some examples: Being involved in the construction of Cairns Central Shopping Centre - at the time the biggest construction project of its type in the area. Construction of luxury custom architectural residences on various hillsides that involved preservation of medium to large trees, some of which were designed with the trees being internal within the build. Hillside stabilisation works both around Cairns and in the Torres Strait on Thursday Island. Construction of public infrastructure space and sporting club landscape spaces under live traffic environments and within short time frames due to seasonal dates and weather. Delivering landscape construction works involving the requirement to crane lift raw materials and general supplies to upper levels of multi storey buildings.

Job Titles:
  • Team Leader

Scott Parsons

Job Titles:
  • Director
Scott studied Engineering and Science (major in Aquaculture) at Melbourne University before moving overseas to work in Scotland. At this time, Scott had a career change and became a Queensland Police Officer. He spent time in Cairns General Duties before becoming a Prosecutor in the Cairns Prosecution Corp. In 2010 Scott moved into the Cairns CIB where he spent the next 8 years as a Detective. Belinda and Scott started the business in 2011 when they were both working full time in other employment. Scott and Belinda continued to work in both jobs until 2017 when they left their respective jobs and moved into the business full time together. Scott brings 12 years' experience running the own business and prior to working for a large commercial landscaper in Brisbane. Scott started the business with a second-hand push mower and a whipper snipper that he pinched from his father-in-law. Scott & Belinda have built the business to be a major player in the mowing and landscaping industry. We've completed several large projects throughout that time and can take on any major work in the industry. In 2017, Scott's Mowing had 3 employees with an annual turnover of approximately $300,000 per annum and Scott and Belinda had just welcomed their third child. At this time, both decided it was time Scott left the Police and joined the business on a full-time basis instead of doing both jobs and today's present day Pinnacle Landscape Solutions (PLSNQ) (previously known as Scott's Mowing) has grown to employing over 20 full-time staff. The reason for the name change, was to give our commercial client base peace of mind knowing they've hired a team with the right skillset and capabilities to carry our large-scale tender projects and we're no longer just 3 blokes with lawn mowers in a truck. Scott's passion is in creating employment. We have a strong company policy on employing staff on a full-time basis, rather than casual or sub-contractor. Scott enjoys seeing his team have long term job security and financial options in relation to obtaining a home and financial stability. Scott is also very passionate about the work we complete. We enjoy working with clients and staff to produce an outcome that exceeds expectations. During 15 years in the QPS as a General Duties Officer, Prosecutor and Detective, Scott was presented with many challenges and from this experience allows Scott to handle the challenges that arise running a business with many moving parts. Scott and his wife Belinda, are both heavily involved in the local AFL club, coaching the junior team and attending club functions. Outside of work, they love fishing, 4-wheel driving and Collingwood. Scott loves the lifestyle that is available in Cairns, we love the heat, the beaches, Port Douglas and the Tablelands. The people, the laid-back nature of Cairns people was a major factor in deciding to base our family here long term and establish the business in the area.
