Adam Colleton

Adam is an experienced Development Manager whose primary focus is the management of Winton's Lakeside project. Prior to joining the Winton team, much of Adam's experience was gained in Melbourne, with roles in valuation, project feasibility and development delivery. Adam has worked across all stages of the property cycle - from acquisition and planning, through to development delivery, and brings with him to Winton, over a decade of industry experience. Adam holds a Degree in Business Management majoring in Real Estate & Development from the University of Queensland.

Ayrburn Farm

Northbrook's site is located on what was known as Ayrburn Farm, one of the original farms in the region. William Paterson first converted the land for agricultural use around 1865 - 1867, naming the farm ‘Ayrburn' after the town of 'Ayr' where he was born in West Kilbride, Scotland.

Charlotte Corden - Chief Legal Officer

Charlotte is part of the legal team assisting the General Counsel with legal oversight and risk management. Charlotte has over 13 years of experience in law practising within New Zealand and internationally. Prior to joining Winton, Charlotte worked in private practice focusing on all aspects of property transactions including commercial and residential developments, leasing and extensive transactional work. Charlotte has a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from Otago University, Dunedin.

Chris Meehan - CEO

  • Principal and CEO of Winton
Chris, a founding principal and CEO of Winton, has over 20 years of experience in real estate investment. Prior to establishing Winton, Chris founded the Belle Property real estate franchise in Australia in 1999, and grew this business to circa 25 offices across Australia and New Zealand, prior to its sale to private equity interests in 2009. Chris holds an Associate Diploma in Business (Property Valuation).

Craig Anderton

Job Titles:

Craig is a Development Manager, responsible for overseeing and managing Winton's Launch Bay project. Craig brings to the team 12 years of construction project management, coupled with 5 years development management experience on numerous multimillion-dollar projects, attained while working with leading development companies such as Rawa Property Development, Northview Projects and Hughes Construction. In addition to this, Craig's key areas of expertise also comprise design reviewing, cost management, development methodology and reporting, quality and cost control management and resource and building consent management. Craig holds a Bachelor of Construction (Property Development) from the University of Auckland.

David Liptak

Job Titles:

David is the Founder and Managing Partner of Spring Street Partners - a private US-based investment firm established in 1995. David began his career as an analyst in the Arbitrage Department of Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. in August 1982. In 1984, David joined Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. as a Senior Vice President in charge of the firm's proprietary Arbitrage Department, a position he held until 1992. He then left to form West Broadway Partners Inc., an investment partnership that ultimately managed more than US$700m in investor capital. David holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Harvard.

David Osborne

David is a highly accomplished Development Manager, who is primarily responsible for Winton's Lakeside project. David has more than 25 years of experience in residential land development projects across the Auckland isthmus. David has an extensive knowledge of the land development process, in its entirety, ranging from post procurement through to project delivery. David joins the team after spending 10 years with the Todd Property Group, where he was responsible for delivering their Long Bay development. David holds a New Zealand Certificate in both Land Surveying and Civil Engineering.

Denham Freemantle-Kirby

Job Titles:
  • Assistant Accountant
Denham joined the finance team at Winton, after moving to Auckland from the South Island. In his role as Assistant Accountant, Denham is responsible for the administration and maintenance procedures within the finance department for the Winton Group. Denham holds a Bachelor of Commerce, specialising in the fields of Accounting and Finance, from the University of Otago, and is currently pursuing his Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting.

Donna Mead

As well as heading office management for the Winton Group, Donna is responsible for providing assistance to two of Winton's Directors. With over 30 years of operational and administrative experience acquired both in the United Kingdom and New Zealand, Donna provides Winton with an extensive knowledge base in office management and organisational structure. Donna's previous positions have included similar roles for worldwide executive recruiters Heidrick & Struggles, Bruel & Kjaer UK Ltd, and Bayleys Realty Group, as well as various high net worth individuals.

Duncan Elley

Duncan is a senior real estate professional with responsibility for Winton's land development projects. Duncan has more than 18 years of experience in real estate, finance and investment management. Prior to joining Winton, Duncan gained his extensive real estate transactional experience with Chenavari Investment Managers and Capmark Bank Europe plc in the United Kingdom. Duncan holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics) and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Canterbury, Christchurch.

Finn Tearney

Finn joined Winton after a highly successful background as a professional tennis player. From 2014 - 2017, Finn played on the ATP tour circuit where, alongside representing New Zealand in Davis Cup for multiple years, he is currently the reigning 3-time

George Watts

George is a Landscape Architect who is involved in the master planning and design of Winton projects throughout New Zealand. George's primary focus is aiding the Development and Project Managers with master planning and design solutions as well as overseeing landscape construction projects from concept to completion. Before joining the team, George worked as an external Consultant for a Queenstown based landscape architecture practice and has eight years of industry experience. George holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Victoria University of Wellington.

James Burgess

James is an experienced Architect, responsible for Winton's Vertical Living development projects. James returned to New Zealand in 2015, bringing with him extensive experience from across a broad range of sectors and projects in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, China, Australia and the United Kingdom. Since then, James' work has centred primarily on the creation of successful mixed use communities - whether in city centre redevelopment programmes, or community building residential developments. An advocate for alternative residential tenure, with a focus on strategic outcomes and creative vision, James has leveraged experience attained within the United Kingdom ‘Build to Rent' market, and applied it to both the Australian and New Zealand sectors. James holds a Bachelor of Architecture (Honours) from Victoria University (Te Herenga Waka), Wellington, and is a New Zealand Registered Architect.

Jamie Boswell

Jamie is engaged by Winton to manage the delivery of the Northridge site in Cessnock, Australia. His experience spans the property development industry as Development Manager in a range of roles from planning, design, approvals, construction and sales. Jamie is responsible for the approvals and delivery of a variety of projects in the Hunter region. Jamie is a qualified registered surveyor with a Bachelor of Surveying from the University of Newcastle.

Jarrah Emery

As Winton's Office Administrator, Jarrah is responsible for all office procedures, and uses her organisational skills to ensure the smooth running of operations in a busy work environment. In addition to front of house services, Jarrah also provides secretarial duties for the General Managers, along with the wider development team.

Jean McMahon - CFO

Jean is responsible for managing Winton's finance, tax and accounting functions. A Chartered Accountant, Jean has over 17 years of experience in real estate, finance and investment which she gained in a variety of roles across New Zealand, United Kingdom and Canada. More recently, Jean held the position of Financial Controller for Property for Industry Limited - an NZX listed property company, as well as McDougall Reidy & Co - a private property development company. Jean's career to date has also included working for Lloyds Banking Group (UK) and Abacus Private Equity (Canada), as well as training as an auditor with KPMG (New Zealand and Canada). Jean holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and Bachelor of Science (Statistics) from the University of Auckland and is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Justine Hollows - Chief Legal Officer

Justine is the General Counsel for Winton and is responsible for the Group's legal oversight, risk management and compliance. In addition to her role as General Counsel, Justine is also the Human Resources Manager for the Group. Justine has over 18 years of experience in law, including property development, transactional and leasing work. Prior to joining Winton, Justine was Senior Legal Counsel with Auckland International Airport and she has previously worked for some of New Zealand's top tier firms including Bell Gully and Minter Ellison. Justine has a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Waikato.

Lauren Christie

Lauren has been in the building industry for more than 13 years in a wide variety of roles including in government agencies, research organisations, and client-side project management. Lauren has delivered a wide variety of construction projects including education, retail, hospitality, commercial, heritage restorations, and residential. Lauren holds a PhD and Bachelor of Building Science (Honours) from Victoria University of Wellington. She has also attended the Stanford Graduate School of Business under scholarship. Lauren is a member of PrefabNZ - an industry organisation for innovative offsite construction in New Zealand.

Marc Bretherton

Marc is responsible for all aspects of the Northlake development in Wanaka. Marc has 18 years' experience in the land development sector, including the position of General Manager Planning & Development with Queenstown Lakes District Council. Prior to this, Marc's roles included seven years as General Manager and Director of a South Island property development company, and various project management and consulting assignments around New Zealand. Marc holds a Bachelor of Commerce (First Class Honours) and a Master of Regional & Resource Planning (Distinction) from the University of Otago, Dunedin.

Michaela Meehan

Michaela is a founding principal and director of Winton Partners Capital, and has overall responsibility for the administration and treasury functions of the group. Michaela was a Senior Product Manager for the Danish brewery Carlsberg, in Copenhagen, from 1995 and 2001. Michaela was also a professional sailor for 13 years, competing at three Olympic Games as a member of the Danish Sailing Team. Michaela holds a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration from the Copenhagen Business School.

Nicola Tristram

Nicola is an experienced Development Manager based in Queenstown. She is primarily involved with the development of Waterfall Park and Ayrburn in Queenstown, and River Terrace in Cromwell. Nicola has over a decade's experience in the property industry in both New Zealand and Australia. Originally a planning consultant, she moved to Australia and gained experience as a development manager, working across all stages of the property cycle. Specifically, she was responsible for the master-planning, design, and delivery of a 1400-hectare industrial redevelopment project. Nicola holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Otago.

Richard Belcher

Richard is a Development Manager for Northlake, Wanaka. Richard has more than 20 years experience in both the property and building sectors. Prior to joining Winton, Richard worked with ASX listed entity Scentregroup, where he gained extensive commercial and project management experience on major retail developments in both New Zealand and Australia. Richard holds a Diploma in Quantity Surveying.

Ross Lewis

Ross is Assistant Accountant of Winton and is responsible for assisting the Senior Accountant to administer and maintain the financial management and reporting procedures for the Winton Group. Ross has over two years' experience as an Accounts Assistant in the Executive Recruitment sector, attained whilst he studied for his Commerce degree. Ross has recently graduated and looks forward to progressing into his Chartered Accountancy. Ross holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland.

Simon Ash
