Altan Gurevin

Altan manages projects for Canterbury-based clients from initial stages through to completion and handover. He has worked with key TEG Projects clients including Mauri ANZ's hazardous atmosphere drawings for their flour mill. Altan joined TEG Projects in 2020 with a wealth of experience from the mechanical engineering industry. He manages projects for Canterbury based clients from initial stages through to completion and handover. He has worked with key TEG Projects clients including Mauri ANZ's hazardous atmosphere drawings for their flour mill, as well as overseeing their Site Traffic Management Project. Altan oversaw three Conveyor System Projects and a large HVAC Project for Silver Fern Farms. While for Davey Water Products, he project managed the water treatment system for a large resort from design stage to commissioning. As well as being a skilled Project Manager Altan enjoys biking, personal electronic projects and spending time with his kids. Qualifications include:

Andy Stockley

Andy brings more than 20 years of manufacturing industry management experience to TEG Projects. Prior to joining the team, Andy gained considerable experience across a range of manufacturing sector companies including Frucor, Unilever, Lion, and more. Andy's current responsibilities include establishing TEG Project's South Island Regional Office, based in Christchurch and carrying out projects from scoping through to design, installation, and capitalisation. Besides his Capital Project & Programme Management experience, Andy is a keen DIYer. He's renovated four houses and even added a pool house. He also enjoys spending time with his young family and supporting their sports activities.

Annalisa Jeffries

Annalisa is a Project Engineer in our Auckland based team, responsible for carrying out projects of varying scope from conception through to commissioning and handover. Annalisa is a Project Manager in our Auckland based team, responsible for carrying out projects of varying scope from conception through to commissioning and handover. As part of the TEG Projects team Annalisa has helped project manage an Electrical Heat Tracing installation for Graincorp, as well as ensuring electrical compliance for a hydrogen field panel upgrade in a Graincorp hazardous zone. She also helped manage the upgrade of the Graincorp CIP system and the installation and improvement of a Graincorp cooling tower and ammonia system. Annalisa has also worked as a project engineer for Fonterra for the installation of New Zealand's largest automated cool store and has currently completed projects for Lion Breweries focusing on site security and traffic management upgrades. Annalisa has a strong focus on on-site health and safety, she gives specific attention to intrusive maintenance tasks to ensure product and production quality is not compromised. When Annalisa isn't delivering on a range of initiatives for our Auckland based clients, she is playing hockey, growing chillies, or going for hikes around New Zealand. Qualifications include:

Bevan Robertson

Bevan is a Bachelor of Technology (Massey University) qualified engineer and has over 15 years' experience in engineering projects management for the food and dairy industry in New Zealand. Bevan is a Bachelor of Technology (Massey University) qualified engineer and has over 20 years' experience in engineering projects management for the food and dairy industry in New Zealand. Bevan worked alongside Technical Engineering Group on projects for several years before joining in 2010 when he formed the Waikato and Bay of Plenty regional office. Prior to joining TEG, Bevan had a variety of process engineering, environmental and production roles for leading New Zealand export FMCG manufacturing companies.

Chris Strain

Chris joined TEG Projects' Auckland based team in 2019. He works with clients throughout the Auckland region from definition and design stage to final commissioning. Prior to TEG, Chris cut his engineering teeth assisting the earthquake team in a Blenheim wineries recovery initiative, and then a number of projects at various large dairy sites. For TEG projects he has assisted with multiple projects for Frucor. His special areas of expertise include complex building projects, such as the Factory Roof replacement, including managing hygienic precautions and a ventilation install. Also for Frucor, Chris managed the Export Roading Upgrade to increase road strength to meet combi lift weight. Alongside his depth and breadth of experience in project engineering Chris is a music nerd, who is also currently learning French. Qualifications include:

Gary Saywell

Gary recently joined our Brisbane TEG Projects team as a Project Manager. He comes to us with a depth of experience across the food manufacturing industry, covering projects such as construction, line installations, process optimisation, and waste reduction initiatives. For TEG Projects he brings these skills to projects of varying scope from conception through to commissioning and handover.

Graham Brooks

Graham has been with TEG since 2011 and has played a Project Management role on myriad projects, including a variety of successfully implemented projects at Fonterra Waitoa and Takanini sites. Graham studied and gained his early engineering experience in the manufacturing industry in the United Kingdom. Graham immigrated to New Zealand in 2004 and since 2011 has used his depth of experience to benefit TEG Projects clients. Graham has played a Project Management role on myriad projects, including a variety of successfully implemented projects at Fonterra Waitoa and Takanini sites. Each of these projects required involvement from initial design, through to build and handover. The projects included the upgrade of a Crude Oil Handling System which better enabled the client to utilise existing oil tanks and removed the need for offsite storage. As well as project managing a Cooling Tower Install, which involved replacing a failing cooling tower (a health hazard containing asbestos) with a new cooling tower which was also more efficient. As well as being an experienced Project Manager Graham is a keen runner, enjoys travel and gardening, in addition to being kept busy by his family. Qualifications include:

Hamish Baker - Managing Director

Hamish is a health and safety professional with over fifteen years experience in senior health and safety roles within multinational corporations. He has an Environmental Engineering Degree, NEBOSH (level 6) Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety and international functional safety certification with TUV Sud. Following the completion of an Environmental Engineering degree Hamish held roles in Safety, Health and Environmental (SH&E) Management with Goodman Fielder for 4 years before relocating to the United Kingdom for eight years. In his role as the Safety Health and Environment Manager for International Flavours and Fragrances (IFF) in the UK he was responsible for a high hazard chemical plant and a flavours food factory.

Ian Breese

Ian has recently joined the TEG Projects team as a Senior Project Engineer / Safety Engineer , based in Brisbane. With over 17 years experience in the food manufacturing industry, in leading project engineering roles across Australia and New Zealand, Ian is well versed in managing large scale projects. He is especially experienced overseeing major capital plans encompassing all aspects from cash flow forecasts to OHS requirements. It is this comprehensive understanding of a project that Ian brings to his role. On the weekends Ian enjoys numerous outdoor activities including rock climbing, hiking and camping, as well as spending time with his children. Qualifications include:

Ian Cranefield

Ian joined the TEG Projects team in 2022, and has brought with him a wealth of experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance management. He also has experience in Cultural heritage management and a Diploma in Wastewater Treatment accreditation. Ian is a Project Manager on our Waikato team and is responsible for carrying out projects of varying scope from conception through to commissioning. He has 17 years of experience in contract and Project Management across the water, wastewater, and irrigation industries, as well as an excellent understanding of health, safety, and quality assurance requirements and how to achieve them. Key projects Ian has worked on include, civil construction tendering and management of the replacement of large irrigation regulators in the Goulburn Murray Water and Murray Irrigation areas, Project Budget Development of irrigation regulator replacements for Rubicon and development of an Operations and Maintenance Manual for a Water Treatment Plant. When Ian's not working on complex projects for our clients he enjoys travelling, spending time at the beach, trying a range of cuisine, and is also passionate about muscle cars. Jamie Wilson

Jamie has been a Project Manager with TEG Projects since 2017 working on a range of initiatives including a Project Construction Manager role for a Fonterra Regional Project which included the management of multiple contractor groups. Jamie has been a Senior Project Manager with TEG Projects since 2017 working on a range of initiatives including a Project Construction Manager role on Project ELMO, a Fonterra Regional Project which included the management of multiple contractor groups during the deconstruction and installation of the Milk Minerals and WPRO processes work streams. He has also been Project Construction Manager for Dairy Fert Waikato for their by-product storage. Work included; project scoping, contractor tendering and engagement, civil construction management for the installation of dairy by-product underground storage tanks and pond. On Project Pisces (Fonterra Hautapu and Edgecumbe Wastewater treatment plants) Jamie was Project Manager through the design phase. This was a Fonterra Major Capital Project which included the management of a highly skilled team of process and civil designer consultants over multiple specialist areas. As well as building relationships with a number of key internal and external stakeholders through the design and pricing phases. Jamie is a highly skilled Senior Project Manager with a depth of experience in construction management. On the weekends Jamie enjoys spending time with his two boys, especially getting outdoors to go hiking, trail running, and occasionally relaxing on the beach. Julian Weedon

As Queensland and NSW Regional Manager, Julian brings a wealth of project management and engineering experience to TEG Projects. Julian currently oversees other project managers and large-scale projects within the food and beverage industry. Prior to his current role, Julian led significant capital projects at George Weston Foods, Goodman Fielder QLD, and Parmalat. Besides his Capital Project & Programme Management experience, Julian is a keen handyman who enjoys working on projects at home and in the garden - this includes building bathrooms, Kitchens, landscaping, decking, pergolas, and pool building. Sport is also a passion including following English Premier League, AFL, Rugby Union, and he also plays Golf. Most recently Julian has taken up sport shooting and Archery.

Kristen Whitehead

Kristen joined the TEG Projects team in 2017 with extensive experience in the Food and Beverage Industry and has managed many projects successfully for Bluebird, Silver Fern Farms and Danone. Kristen joined the TEG Projects team in 2017, bringing with her extensive experience in the Food and Beverage Industry. She's worked for Bega Cheese as an Engineering Project Manager, Fonterra Brands as a Capital Projects Manager, and Bluebird Foods Ltd. as an Environmental Engineer. Since joining TEG Projects Kristen has project managed the Frozen Pet Food line packaging installation at Real Pet Foods, numerous projects at Danone and is also a HAZOP Leader.

Lindsay O'Neale

Lindsay has been a Senior Project Engineer with TEG Projects since 2005 and in that time he has project managed and engineered the installation of various equipment and processes for Bluebird. Lindsay has been a Senior Project Engineer with TEG Projects right from the very beginning in 2005. He joined us with an enviable wealth of experience already under his belt, having had Senior Project Management roles at Johnson and Johnson and Bluebird Foods. Since joining the TEG Projects Team he has engineered and project managed the installation of various equipment and process upgrades for Bluebird, such as a Gas Oven and Heat Exchanger replacement for the Tortilla Corn Chip line requiring substantial line reconfiguration, and new automatic case packers for potato chip lines including product and case conveyors. As well as being an integral, valued and experienced member of our team Lindsay is keen on all water-based sports. Lindsay prefers to be under the water rather than on it having represented New Zealand in both Underwater Hockey and Underwater Rugby he is also an active spear fisherman. Lindsay is married with three adult children and has recently relocated from Auckland to Waihi to be half way (roughly) between his children who live in the Bay of Plenty and Auckland. Matt Foggo

Matt joined TEG Projects this year as a Senior Project Manager. Having previously gathered years of electrical engineering and project management experience across a range of premier organisations and projects, Matt now oversees TEG Project's Lower South Island clients. Matt's expertise is in electrical engineering which he uses to inform design, installation and commissioning - as well as training and maintenance support. In previous roles Matt has also been involved in peer mentoring and aspects of organisational health and safety. Miriam Mills

Miriam has more than 20 years experience in broad engineering and project management roles. Before joining the TEG Projects team, Miriam was the Capital Programmes Manager for Fonterra Brands where she had oversight of all capital programmes within FBNZ ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy. This included the management of capital budgets and implementation of capital plans across five manufacturing sites. Besides her wealth of Capital Project & Programme Management experience, Miriam is a keen runner, reader and traveller. She also loves spending time with her young family outside of work.

Murray Irvine

Murray joined TEG Projects as a Project Manager and Safety Engineer in 2015, having previously held management roles with Lion Breweries and Bluebird Foods. Murray cut his teeth with Fitting, Turning and Machining qualifications before turning his attention more specifically to engineering management, with a focus on machine safety. As well as being an experienced Project Manager and Safety Engineer for TEG Projects, Murray also has a background in equipment reliability improvement having previously held factory maintenance manager roles. Since joining the TEG Projects team he has managed projects of various complexity and size from definition to handover. Tasks include scoping, CAPEX development, contracts, and contractor management with work primarily being carried out at Bluebird Foods, and Pepsico plants. This work included an installation of new robotic pick and place packing equipment and new conveyor system, and a factory manufacturing area demolition and refurbishment including new internal building fabric, HVAC, lighting, floors and drainage. Additionally, Murray is responsible for undertaking machine risk assessments, developing scopes of work and specifications for machine safety upgrades, and preparing machine safety reports for clients including Fonterra, Frucor, ANZCO, Alliance, and Fulton Hogan. In his spare time Murray enjoys getting out on the water for a spot of fishing, or getting the clubs out at his local golf club. Qualifications include:

Peter Carson

Peter has been a member of the team since 2011, with an impressive background in the New Zealand food and beverage industry. Peter has been a member of the TEG Projects team since 2011. His previous work reads like a who's who of the New Zealand Food and Beverage industry, previously undertaking Project Management and Engineering roles for Kraft Foods, Goodman Fielder, Tip Top Ice Cream, and Griffins to name a few. In his current role as Project Manager, Peter works closely with TEG Project's clients based in the Auckland region. His work involves successfully scoping, estimating, and preparing CAPEX requests followed by implementation projects, and contractor management. These projects have included a George Weston Foods Amenities Upgrade, bran packing area GMP upgrades, bran bulk metal detection upgrades, and broll load out Traffic Management. Peter also managed a reconfiguration of Danone Nutricia infant formula packing line, and a site redevelopment and relocation of Pitango organic soup manufacturing plant. As well as being an experienced Project Manager and a valued member of the TEG Projects team, Peter enjoys gardening, outdoor activities on his rural small block and planning for overseas travels. Rhys Knauf

Rhys is a TUV Nord Certified Machine Safety Expert, as well as a qualified engineer and project manager. Rhys is our Waikato Based Project Manager and Safety Engineer, and is responsible for carrying out projects of varying scope from conception through to handover. He enjoys a challenge; specializing in ‘brown field' improvements and retrofitting new equipment to existing plants and has been involved in significant projects involving infant formula production lines, chemical manufacturing plants and machine guarding on existing equipment.

Rob Butcher

Since coming on board with TEG Projects, Rob has been Senior Project Manager for many successfully implemented projects for clients including George Weston Foods, Fonterra, Easiyo, Goodman Fielder, Tip Top and Danone. With a solid background in engineering Rob's expertise is valued in our team. He's managed procurement and project planning for brew tanks and process works for Lion Breweries, master planning for a snack food factory redevelopment, building upgrade projects and was also the Commissioning Lead for a new bakery line at George Weston Foods. Simply put his experience, skill and commitment to clients' projects has resulted in many project successes over the years. Rob Smith

Rob has been a Senior Project Manager with us for more than a decade, playing key roles on capital projects with many of New Zealand's most well known food brands, such as Bluebird Foods, Goodman Fielder, and Fonterra. Rob has held a Project Management position with TEG Projects for more than a decade. During that time he has played key roles on capital projects with many of New Zealand's most well known food brands, such as Bluebird Foods, Goodman Fielder, Danone, Nutricia, Fonterra, George Weston Foods, and Tip Top Ice Cream. Recently Rob has managed the removal of bakery equipment and services from the River Mill bakery in Huntly for Goodman Fielder, this was a sole site supervisory role overseeing multiple site contractors. His most recent projects for Bluebird Foods included upgrading the Robot Palletising System, upgrading the Admin Offices including design, preparation of tenders, contracts and implementation, and the installation of the New Automatic Case Packer System. When Rob's not managing complex projects for TEG Projects he's likely to be found doing something very active! He loves a round of golf, but you'll also find him competing in half marathons, stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking. Qualifications include:

Ross Norgrove - Managing Director

Ross has more than 20 years experience in broad international engineering project management roles primarily in the manufacturing sector. Prior to forming Technical Engineering Group Ltd, Ross was the Technical and Engineering Manager for Goodman Fielder NZ. In 2001 he was responsible for forming the GFNZ Technical & Engineering department which serviced the 22 Goodman Fielder manufacturing sites in the areas of capital projects, process development, packaging development and asset management. In the 1990's Ross managed the New Zealand operations of an exporting company providing turn-key automated in-line chilling and freezing and materials handling systems to multi-national food companies in the USA, Europe, Australasia and South America. Prior to this Ross spent a total of four years working as a Project Manager for one of New Zealand's leading engineering consultancies and another six years undertaking project work for a variety of blue-chip industrial processing companies.

Sarah Starkey

Sarah has diverse experience in both in Australia and New Zealand, specialising in Project Management for a variety of organisations from education to healthcare. Sarah has diverse experience in Project Management both in Australia and New Zealand. Sarah initially started her career in the education sector before specialising in Project Management for a variety of organisations from education to healthcare. She then took on several roles in the post earthquake Canterbury Recovery Project with Hawkins, her final role being Team Manager. One of her most recent positions before joining TEG Projects was as a Change Consultant - Enterprise Resource Programme (ERP) for Alliance Group, her Key Responsibilities were to oversee a $20m data system upgrade for the entire business. This included mapping current state workflows from paddock to plate and applying change management principles to ensure successful implementation for future meat processing systems. On the weekends you're likely to find Sarah spending time with family (hubby, two young boys and an energetic Cavoodle) and enjoying the outdoors, either at home in rural North Canterbury or her second home on the West Coast. Family favourite activities include boating and having fun on and around the water when it's hot, and getting wet and muddy in the bush when it's not. Qualifications include:

Sean Rogers

Sean has over 20 years of experience across the food manufacturing industry, covering projects such as construction, line installations, process optimisation, and waste reduction initiatives. For TEG Projects Sean brings these skills to projects of varying scope from conception through to commissioning and handover.

Smruthi Vishwanath

Having previously worked as a Regional Capital Engineer for Kraft Heinz, and as a Process Engineer at Worley, Smruthi joined the TEG Projects team in 2023. She has brought with her strong skills in Stakeholder Management and Project Communication, as well as an honours degree in Chemical and Materials Engineering. At Kraft Heinz Smruthi managed a large Pet-Food retorts project, blast freezer upgrades and a Pouch filler replacement. With such skills and background knowledge Smruthi is an excellent asset to our Auckland team as a TEG Projects Project Manager. Outside of work Smruthi enjoys art - drawing mandalas and water colour painting to be specific. Smruthri is also a keen beachgoer, badminton and table tennis player. .

Vas Ravji

Since 2012 Vas has been an integral member of the TEG Projects team, investing his skills and experience on countless capital projects at several FMCG companies including Bluebird Foods, Lion Breweries, Inghams, Anzco and Walter & Wild. Since 2012 Vas has been an integral member of the TEG Projects team, as a Senior Project Engineer and Project Manager. Over that time he has invested his skills and experience on countless capital projects at several FMCG companies including Bluebird Foods, Lion Breweries, Inghams, Anzco and Walter & Wild. Prior experience includes Hellaby's Freezing works, Cadbury and Griffins Foods (including Nice & Natural & Eta). His involvement in projects is from the initial stages, outlining definition, scope and budget, followed by design with special focus on machine safety, contract management, install and commissioning. Vas has experience in many and varied sectors including; Packaging and Product Handling Systems; Palletising Systems, Robotic Filling and Packing systems, Factory Services air / water / steam; Silo Installs, including 20t chocolate tanks, oil tanks and a 60000L wine tank; HVAC and Refrigeration Systems; Trade Waste Treatment plants; Managing a high voltage (11kVA) factory supply upgrade; Low Voltage Substation Upgrade, Warehouse Racking Optimisation Projects; Dry and Wet Dust Control Systems; Powder Handling Systems; Building Upgrades and Civil Works; Quality Inspection Systems, and installation of Industrial Fryers and Ovens. Wesley Kessack

In previous roles before joining TEG Projects Wesley worked for Nestle Purina Petcare. As well as finding and implementing solutions to production line problems and opportunities, being a Health and Safety role model was a critical part of the job, with responsibility for raising health and safety concerns, implementing engineering solutions to health and safety issues/initiatives. His work with Techo LTD involved managing, installing and commissioning on a range of projects within food manufacturing. Outside of work Wesley enjoys middle distance running, squash, soccer, boxing, reading, and chess.
