The founder and head instructor at Thompson Jiu Jitsu, David has been practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for the better part of the last 18 years. Originally from Montreal, he came up with the highly competitive Brazilian Top Team Academy under coach Fabio Holanda. His background in science, technology and engineering helps bring a very hands on and conceptual approach to teaching his curriculum based classes. He also speaks 4 languages. All of these things combined make it easy for even the greenest of beginners to get started. He has travelled extensively thoughout his life, opening a school in Nairobi, Kenya as well as teaching Royalty in the UAE. Certified IBJJF Referee, he also understands the smaller details and requirements of competition.
