Moray Carshare is a community-based car club, owned by its members and constituted as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO registration number: SC047744), regulated by the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR)... Our mission is: to provide convenient and affordable transport options that minimise environmental damage and encourage social cohesion... We were founded in October 2007 with 15 members and 3 cars. We were inspired by the Woodhead Community carpool. From 2013 onwards we have gratefully received various grants to help us expand and improve our services. This has included several grants from Transport Scotland's Developing Car Clubs Scotland programme, which enabled us to buy our first electric cars in the beginning of 2014.
