HAROLD LEVERENZ

Dr. Leverenz has a degree from Michigan State University in Biosystems Engineering and completed his doctorate in Environmental Engineering at University of California at Davis. Harold has been involved in the development of sustainable water and waste management systems for the past 20 years. His areas of interest include decentralized and satellite water reuse systems, potable water reuse, biogas and resource recovery systems, natural treatment systems, rainwater and alternative source waters for water supply and technologies for nutrient recovery. Harold is a registered Civil Engineer in California.

JESSICA HAZARD

Jessica is an Environmental Engineer with a specialization in water quality and treatment. She earned a B.S. in Chemistry from the California Polytechnic State university, San Luis Obispo and a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Davis. Her graduate studies focused on testing a nutrient recovery pilot scale system for reducing the nutrient load from wastewater. Prior to graduate school, Jessica worked as a R&D chemist for a startup gasification company where she focused on operating the pilot scale system and laboratory analysis. She continues to conduct research in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at U.C. Davis.

THOMAS MILLER

Thomas is currently pursuing a master's degree in Environmental Protection & Management at UC Davis, with a focus on City & Regional Planning and Geographic Information Systems. He is currently contributing to research and scenario development in the Delta Islands Adaptations project, envisioning land use adaptations to highly modified natural systems in the Central Delta. He earned a B.S. in Environmental Management and Protection from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Prior to this project and graduate studies, he worked as a restoration specialist for the San Luis Obispo Land Conservancy.
