ENVIRONMENTAL APPEAL BOARD

The Environmental Appeal Board (EAB) was established under the Environment Management Act (1981) and now operates under its replacement, the Environmental Management Act. The EAB has the authority to decide appeals of certain decisions made under nine provincial statutes and their associated regulations. Decisions appealed to the EAB relate to environmental issues and the use or stewardship of natural resources... The EAB strives to provide timely and efficient access to justice for individuals, organizations, and businesses pursuing their rights of appeal in British Columbia. The EAB seeks to be responsive and sensitive to the needs of those involved in appeals.
