Alison is a Senior Advisor in US EPA's Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention and an Adjunct Instructor in American University's Kogod School of Business. Alison has focused her 20+ year career on leveraging private sector innovation and billions in federal spending to support cleaner and greener supply chains for all. She co-founded two influential networks within EPA-the Green Building Workgroup and the Sustainable Products Network-which bring together policy and technical staff to advance comprehensive, market-based approaches to furthering EPA's mission. Since 2001, Alison has served in the Environmentally Preferable Purchasing (EPP) Program, representing EPA in the development of private sector sustainability standards within the US Green Building Council, Sustainable Sites Initiative, ASTM, NSF, and UL, among others. In addition to the Cradle to Cradle Product Innovations Institute Stakeholder Advisory Council, Alison has represented EPA on the advisory committees of the Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council, ISEAL, and the UN Sustainable Public Procurement Program. In 2016, Alison and her team released Recommendations of Specifications, Standards, and Ecolabels-a game changer in bringing clarity to the sustainability marketplace. Recently, Alison is leading a new effort at the Agency exploring innovative financing approaches for capital intensive pollution prevention projects in various manufacturing sectors.

Ana Quintas

Ana is an experienced sustainability and circular economy professional passionate about advancing circular economy, climate action and sustainable development in the built environment. As Lead Built Environment for the EMEA region, she is responsible for outreach, education, policy development and adoption of Cradle to Cradle Certified with product manufacturers and the wider built environment stakeholder community. Prior to joining the Institute, Ana worked nearly 15 years with both public and private sector clients providing project management, consulting advice and research in areas ranging from circular economy, resources efficiency, waste management, strategic environmental planning and environmental impact assessment. She also implemented performance measurement tools for the construction sector to analyze and benchmark productivity, efficiency and environmental impact. Most recently Ana was a Managing Consultant in sustainability and circular economy at ICF, providing technical leadership for several governmental projects. Previously Ana worked as Senior Sustainability Consultant at Building Research Establishment (BRE), a UK multi-disciplinary organization focused on standard setting for built environment, and as environmental engineer in a major engineering company in Portugal. Ana also serves as a Program leader for the executive education online course at Cambridge Judge Business school ‘Circular Economy and Sustainable Strategies'. Ana holds a postgraduate diploma in Circular Economy from the University of Exeter Business School, a Master of Engineering in Resources Efficiency and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering. She is also a chartered environmentalist of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment in the UK and recognized European Professional Engineer.

Angela is a marketing communications leader passionately committed to sustainable development and innovation, with international experience in sustainability, healthcare, business regeneration and media. As Director of Marketing and Communications, Angela is responsible for the Institute's global marketing and communications efforts, setting the direction for central positioning, messaging and branding activity, in line with the Institute's strategy and ambition to grow presence and impact across relevant channels and audiences. Angela also oversees marketing communications for the Institute's programs and services, including certification and community engagement activities. Prior to joining the Institute, Angela led corporate and product marketing communications at the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) helping companies to create positive impact through sustainability reporting. During her tenure at GRI, Angela led several strategic marketing initiatives and key communications launches globally, including those of the GRI Standards, GRI membership programs, and flagship program "Business Reporting on the SDGs", working in close collaboration with key international partners in the sustainability landscape. Previously, Angela served as a project account manager for the creative agency SGS, working onsite at the Philips headquarters, experiencing first hand the complexity and challenges faced by multinational brands and manufacturers. Angela's previous experience includes four years at the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement in the UK, where she managed marketing communications, events and operations for their award-winning leadership programs, as well as three years at boutique management consultancy Winning Moves, where she oversaw marketing communications and engagement for large-scale business regeneration and development programs on behalf of institutional clients such as the UK Central Government, local chambers of commerce, Learning and Skills Council, and more. Earlier, as VP & GM, Supply Chain & Sustainability software, he guided UL's evolution from traditional engineering to the digital SaaS economy, with the launch of software and data solutions focused on sustainability, supply-chain traceability, environmental-claims, and regulatory compliance. Throughout his career, Carlos led large scale business transformations, leveraging his expertise in sustainability, digital technologies, and business innovation. He is passionate about developing people and building multicultural teams, having launched various talent development initiatives. He served on UL's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) Executive Council and was the executive sponsor of UL Latinos business resource group. Christian Aage Lundsgaard

Christian Aage Lundsgaard is Project Manager for Sustainability & Product Development at Troldtekt A/S, manufacturer of cement bonded wood wool acoustic panels for the building industry. He is responsible for documenting sustainability of Troldtekt's products, i.e., through a Cradle to Cradle certification, as well as leading R&D projects to improve sustainability and circularity of the products. Christian's 20+ years of experience covers both large global companies and small/medium sized companies in Denmark. He is experienced in product design, engineering, material selection and project management, as well as a range of topics related to designing for sustainability: systems thinking, lifecycle assessments, biomimicry, sustainability certification schemes, design for disassembly and much more. Christian has a background within design and development of building products, wind turbines and health care equipment for hospitals. Since 2015 he has combined the areas of product development and sustainability by working as a consultant for both small and large companies as well as public institutions such as the Danish Environmental Protection Agency. The work has been centered around reducing embodied carbon emissions through sustainable design and business models and through designing products for the circular economy. Christian regularly gives presentations/lectures on the topic of product design for sustainability and circularity, within the company, with its customers or at events across the industry. Christian holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Via University College, Denmark and a Master's degree in Sustainable Design from Minneapolis College of Art and Design in the US.

Daniella Pineda

Daniella Pineda is an American actress, writer, producer and environmental advocate. She uses her celebrity and reach to support positive environmental action such as circularity, with the objective of addressing waste, climate change, and the various environmental challenges facing the planet. On the environmental front, she was accepted as a Fellow for OnDeck's Climate Tech Fellowship in 2021. In 2022, she was invited as a keynote speaker by the American Conservation Coalition Summit in Washington, DC to present on the importance of bipartisanship in the handling of climate change. In the same year, she collaborated with Designer Bo Metz of Bomme Studio to create a sustainable textile gown for the world premiere of Jurassic World Dominion which was covered by multiple major media outlets. She has future business plans to implement circular ethos in the fashion space. Ms. Pineda has starred in various movies and television series including Plane for Lionsgate and Di Bonaventura Pictures, Steven Spielberg's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and Dominion, The Walking Dead Anthology Series, Tale of the Walking Dead, Netflix's Cowboy Bebop, and much more. She is currently working on her directorial debut for a horror feature which she wrote. She is also executive producing an upcoming comedy feature IN TOWN currently in post production. Dr. Anna Lennquist

Dr. Anna Lennquist has been working for ChemSec since 2011. ChemSec is an EU based non-profit environmental organisation and a leading advocate of chemicals policy. It works to speed up legislative processes, engage business, and act as a catalyst for progressive dialogue and action. As Senior Toxicologist at ChemSec, Anna has worked on a number of different projects to support substitution of hazardous chemicals. Since 2013 she has been the project manager for the SIN (Substitute It Now) List, which has proven to be an important driver for innovation. She is also participating in a number of different expert groups and stakeholder committees as an expert on chemicals management, policy, and the underlying science. Anna holds a PhD in ecotoxicology as well as a journalist degree from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden.

Dr. Christine Lemaitre was born in Gießen, Germany in 1975 and studied structural engineering at the University of Stuttgart from 1995 to 2000. After working in the USA for two years as structural engineer, she started in 2003 working at the Institute of Lightweight Structures Design and Construction at the University of Stuttgart as a research and teaching assistant. In 2007, she started as a project manager for R&D at Bilfinger Berger AG in the area of resource efficient buildings. She completed her phd thesis on adaptive lightweight structures in 2008. In January 2009 she took on the role as director certification system of the German Sustainable Building Council. Since February 2010 Dr. Christine Lemaitre is the CEO of the German Sustainable Building Council. Since 2013 she is member of the board of directors of the Sustainable Building Alliance, and in 2015 she was elected as Chair of the European Regional Network (ERN) of the World Green Building Council. Dr. Jennifer Russell

Dr. Jennifer Russell is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sustainable Biomaterials at Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University. Her work includes research into circular economy and sustainability, the flows of materials within economic consumption-production systems, and strategies for slowing and closing material loops. As co-author of the UNEP International Resource Panel publication "Re-defining Value - The Manufacturing Revolution" (2018), her background includes an emphasis on strategy for market transformation. Dr. Russell received her Ph.D. degree from the Golisano Institute for Sustainability at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Prior to joining Virginia Tech, she instructed graduate courses in Sustainable Operations and Supply Chain, and Circular Value Chain at Bard College's MBA in Sustainability program. Dr. Russell also worked as an industry sustainability consultant for governments and multi-national CPG clients based across North America and Europe for eight years, prior to transitioning into academia. Dr. Russell's teaching and research programs are centered around the integration of, and opportunities for circular systems, products, and product-systems. This work spans sustainable materials, applications in packaging, electronics, industrial equipment, and the built environment, as well as circular practices including remanufacturing, refurbishment, repair, reuse, and recycling.

Dr. Kristof Debrabandere is an experienced senior sustainability coach at Sustenuto, a strategic sustainability consultancy. At Sustenuto, he is also coordinator of the C2C Platform, a Cradle to Cradle CertifiedTM General Assessment Body. The C2C Platform guides companies across the world towards successful C2C certifications. Prior to joining Sustenuto and the C2C Platform in 2017, Kristof has worked as sustainability manager in the chemical and energy transmission industries. Dr. Susan Klosterhaus is Vice President, Science and Certification at the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute. In this role Susan leads the Cradle to Cradle Certified Products Program and oversees development of the Cradle to Cradle Certified Product Standard. Prior to joining the Institute in 2012, Susan conducted research on the fate and toxicity of chemical contaminants in the environment for more than 15 years. She was the lead organic contaminant chemist at the San Francisco Estuary Institute, where she conducted water quality monitoring projects to support environmental management and policy development for San Francisco Bay. At SFEI she led research on contaminants of emerging concern in aquatic environments and developed an expertise in the identification and analysis of flame retardant chemicals used in consumer products. Prior to working at SFEI, Susan was a research scientist in laboratories at the University of Maryland and the University of South Carolina. Susan earned her Ph.D. in Environmental Chemistry from the University of Maryland and her M. S. in Public Health and B. S. in Marine Science from the University of South Carolina.

Eddy Santosa

Eddy Santosa, AIA, BEMP, CBCP, LEED AP BD+C, is a global leader in the delivery of sustainable building strategies and design, with over 24 years of experience including delivering high-performance sustainable design. Eddy has been providing technical leadership to a number of nationally and globally significant professional bodies, including the AIA National Building Performance Knowledge Community where he serves as a leader, the International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA) US as a board director, and a voting member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) SPC 209-2018R committee.

As Executive Director of the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute, Elwyn leads the Institute's team to accelerate adoption and maximize the impact of the organization and the Cradle to Cradle Certified® Products Program globally, providing overarching leadership, strategy, and direction. Prior to the Institute, Elwyn spent several years at CGIAR as Managing Director, Institutional Strategy and Systems, and Executive Director of the System Organization, leading the CGIAR towards better funding, a fresh research strategy with climate change at its core, and integrating this global partnership into One CGIAR. Prior to CGIAR, he spent over 20 years working in a range of government institutions and development banks, where he held various leadership and change management positions, including Director of Policy, Partnerships and Operations at the Global Environment Facility (GEF) in the World Bank; Director of the Environment and Climate Department in the UN's International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD); and Head of the Climate and Environment Department at the UK Department for International Development (DFID). Esther Julier

Prior to joining the Institute in 2016, Esther worked as a consultant with MBDC where she assisted clients with incorporating the Cradle to Cradle principles into their business strategies and decisions, and meeting the Cradle to Cradle Certified requirements. She has also worked at U.C. Berkeley and the University of Virginia conducting research in the fields of environmental science, ecology, and agriculture. George Bandy

George Bandy, Jr., is a global leader in environmental sustainability, circular economy and social responsibility. He has been responsible for executing the comprehensive concepts and practices of sustainability for multinational corporations and NGO's. He proactively identifies opportunities to position environmental, economic and socially responsible solutions for both the organizations and their customers so that, together, they can demonstrate the type of sustainability leadership that will result in a brighter future for all. George is currently supporting Fiber Industries, a leading US fiber manufacturer known for cutting-edge and innovative market leading solutions for the fabric, garment, and fashion industry. George is leading Fiber Industries as its Chief Sustainability Officer. Bandy has more than 25 years of experience in the sustainability field. His expertise will help Fiber Industries reach its short-term and long-term sustainability goals. Bandy most recently led the journey to a more Circular Economy at Amazon where he developed a strategy that assures the finite materials managed by Amazon remain in a technical or biological loop leasing the company to potentially become the Earth's most circular centric company. Bandy is highly sought after as a presenter on key topics such as the business of sustainability, biophilic design, social sustainability, circular economy, greening the supply chain, health and wellness in the built environment and innovative smart and healthy design. Bandy has received a number of honors for his work. He was recognized recently as a 2020 Living Future Hero. Bandy is a member of the board of directors for Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI), an organization that independently recognizes excellence in green business industry performance and practice around the world. He has also been appointed to the board of directors for the International Interior Design Association, Trane Technologies Advisory Council for Sustainability and most recently he represents Fiber at the South Carolina Business Council. He is the former Chairman of the Board of the USGBC and has also served on the board of Second Nature, a nonprofit that champions for higher education institutions to make the principles of sustainability fundamental to every aspect of learning. A graduate of Morehouse College with a bachelor's degree in English, Bandy also holds LEED Accredited Professional certification from USGBC. He is a native of Opelika, Alabama.

In his role as Certification Manager at the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute, Mohsin Fareed manages the day-to-day aspects of the Cradle to Cradle Certified Products Program, performs in-depth technical reviews of product assessments, and helps to advance the technical rigor and operational efficiency of the program to maximize its global impact. Prior to joining the Institute, Mohsin gained experience in the sustainability field by working for five years at Hohenstein Institute, an independent institute of OEKO-TEX®, under multiple sustainability certification programs within the Textile and Chemical Divisions. In this role as an auditor, Mohsin was involved in managing all technical and administrative aspects of the certification processes, including developing and maintaining related management systems along with trainings and standard operation procedures for international auditors. He also conducted audits internationally as an accredited STeP by OEKO-TEX® Auditor to verify compliance to chemicals and environmental management, social responsibility, quality management and health and safety requirements in the textile industry. Before Hohenstein Institute, Mohsin worked for four years at Artistic Fabric Mills & Garments Industries Pakistan in the denim division and managed the technical developments mainly in wet processing. Mohsin holds a Masters of Science degree in Textile and Ready-Made Clothing Technology from the Technical University Dresden, Germany and Bachelor of Science degree in Textile Technology from the Hamdard University, Pakistan.

Monica Becker

As the Director of Market Transformation at Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute, Monica is responsible for growth, innovation and impact initiatives across sectors, on a global scale. Prior to joining the Institute, Monica worked as Director of Collaborative Innovation for the Green Chemistry & Commerce Council where she significantly grew the organization in five major sectors and across the value chain. Monica also designed, funded and managed core projects and programs, and created and led industry collaborations in the Beauty, Personal Care and Household products sectors. These included a competition to identify and accelerate commercialization of novel and safe preservatives involving major retailers, brands, suppliers and other stakeholders, as well as a project to accelerate innovation of alternatives to silicone ingredients. She created the GC3's Startup Network and Technology Showcase Programs and curated numerous workshops and panels at the GC3's Annual Innovators Roundtable. Monica was also the former Principal of Monica Becker & Associates Sustainability Consultants, a multi-disciplinary provider of sustainability solutions for business, trade groups, universities, governments and NGOs. Monica held management positions at the Rochester Institute of Technology's Golisano Institute for Sustainability, the Massachusetts Toxics Use Reduction and Tellus Institutes, and Eka Chemicals (now Nouryon). Neha Dhanik is Senior Technical Manager at the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute. In this role she supports the Institute's efforts to advance sustainable product design and manufacturing practices around the globe, and contributes towards expanding the Institute's operations and technical leadership to further accelerate achievement of its goals and mission. Prior to joining the Institute, Neha served as a Program Director for the non-profit organization Sustainable Westchester, where she successfully built and grew a new program called ‘Zero Waste Westchester' which simplified access to recycling-related information for residents as well as enabled collaboration across municipalities, county governments, local nonprofit organizations, donation centers, and recyclers. She was also instrumental in kickstarting a ‘Sustainable Landscaping' program that encompassed various sustainable lawn care practices such as mulch mowing, low-noise and pollution-free maintenance, backyard composting of food and yard waste, and organic pest control methods. Previously, Neha has worked on a variety of projects in the chemical industry, including research & development, process engineering & improvement, environmental regulatory permitting and reporting, carbon offsets, and renewable energy credits. She has consulted private and public investors on green technology startups and co-authored industry reports that covered bio-based and waste-derived chemicals and fuels. Prior Nienke served as one of the first corporate responsibility managers at a Dutch fashion company where she established the sustainability and supplier engagement activities. Following her graduation from the Amsterdam Fashion Institute, Nienke started as co-owner of FTF Productions, a sustainable and innovative fashion brand and production company. Nienke served in the Steering group for the Agreement on Sustainable Garment and Textile, the Responsible Denim Alliance, the Fair Wear Committee of Experts and is the initiator and co-writer of the Sustainable Material Guide by Modint for Apparel Companies.

Before joining the Institute in 2021, Sebastian was a Technical and Program Specialist for the Sustainable Biomass Program and a Senior Lead Auditor for sustainable forestry chain-of-custody programs at SCS Global Services in California. In this role he helped develop and maintain management systems for a certification program, created training and guidance materials, and conducted training for staff, external auditors, and clients. After relocating to Germany, he founded his own consulting business offering services such as auditing, certification program maintenance, and development and technical review. Prior to joining the world of certification, he worked in research institutes dedicated to renewable energies and climate change impacts, including the application of life-cycle assessments.
