Following former mentor Bob Smith (former Rally-Cross Champion), in 1987, he was promoted into a technicians position at Thames Service Station in Croydon where he was born into the world of Rally Cross. Acting as part of the service crew for Bob's team he developed a passion for performance engineering and took Bob and the team to success in 1990 and 1991 making them British Rally Cross champions. This is an ambition that has not stopped in the pit lane as Jamie also serves a pedigree of emotion for motor cycle racing visiting various circuits all over Europe riding his classic RD350 racer and extensively modified Suzuki GSXR750. Having gained many promotions throughout his time with Thames Service Station in 1998 Jamie achieved a Dealership Principle role at a local European Car Importers in Tonbridge, Kent. Jamie experienced many business principles and management here handling a turnover sums of approximately £8,000,000 a year. Overseas negotiations were conventional and supplier relations had to be kept satisfied and perpetual to ensure first-rate costs to suit the demands of effective UK pricing. Jamie was also involved heavily with the marketing of this ‘back door buying' industry applying himself to a large amount of the advertising tasks, it is here where he experienced the on-line market and its advantages. Like any short founded loop hole in the market there is always an end and in 2002 Jamie returned to the Italian car network working alongside Jonathan Cummins and Osman Damdelen. He quickly promoted himself to DET (Dealer Expert Technician/Master Technician) status before leaving to start the all new Church Motor Company venture. Jamie has currently advanced his understandings within the motor industry by becoming a MOT tester, to Manager status, and has overlooked the advanced changes endured by the Bromley site to comply. He is currently excelling himself in the fine art of vehicle computer diagnostics enjoying absorbing a vast amount of up to date training that the motor trade is throwing at him. Following on from Jamie's motorcycle admiration he has also established a new section of our business, CMC Motorcycles, which has now opened offering an array of repairs, servicing and MOT's. Whilst in its early days this side of the business is doing very well and growing week on week. At the moment Jamie is enjoying a rebuild project of his classic Yamaha RD350 motorcycle which photos and updates can be seen on the website leading up to this finished result.

Jonathan Cummins attended a YTS training scheme in 1995 where he successfully completed their training and achieved a work placement for Thames Ford. Whilst enjoying a successful start in the motor industry the Thames Group lost their Ford franchise and was forced to pull the plug on the existing repairers in Clapham Road, The Oval. Summer 1995 brought fantastic change and forwarded Jonathan's career path when company owner of the Thames Group, not happy let this hopeful young mechanic go else where, arranged an interview for a Fiat apprientiship at his Fiat/Alfa Romeo/Lancia site located in the Croydon area. Jonathan sailed through his interview with current business partner Jamie Pitt (workshop manager) and successfully completed an NVQ and Level 1 and 2 in City Guilds at Croydon College. In late 1996 Jonathan was already making a name for himself within the Italian car network, being head hunted by a newer Fiat/Alfa Romeo Dealership located in Catford, South London. After completing a final year at college he was quickly promoted into a Technician role and it is here where Jonathan's career would be accelerated to an amazing degree. From Technician to Dealer Expert Technician (DET, Senior Technician) was achieved almost overnight with an intense training and diagnostic training program. Dealing with vast amount of problematic vehicles forwarded Jonathan's customer skills and gained him a respect among his peers - and in July 1998 it would be this that prompted him into a Workshop Controller/Foreman role. From here he would really start to understand the business side of things getting involved with bookings, invoicing, customer services and productive influences. His Workshop Controller/Foreman position was soon furthered to an Assistant Team Leadership role and at the start of 2000 Jonathan successfully achieved Service Team Leader status and at only 21 years of age which would make him the youngest ranked individual in the UK.
