I joined the City Manager's Office in 2016 as the Neighborhood Life Coordinator. It was a fantastic job connecting me with all the City's departments and communities. I designed programming to help educate and connect people across the City. I worked with local organizations like Keep Rowlett Beautiful, The Rowlett Chamber of Commerce, and GISD. My main goal was to listen to the aspirations of others and to help support them as they grew their knowledge, skills, and connections with others... After retiring in 2021, I have enjoyed being on the Rowlett Parks and Recreation Board and serving as the Chair of the 2022 Charter Review Commission. Serving on these two Boards has inspired me to continue my life in public service. With the experience I have in this community my husband, Bruce, and I decided that running for City Council would be an effective use of my skills, passion, and enthusiasm...
