Dr Annabel Chew

Dr Annabel Chew was a Senior Consultant of the Glaucoma Department in the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC). She completed her medical training with the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2005. She did her Ophthalmology residency training in Singapore and was awarded the Ministry of Health Training Award in 2010 for her specialist training. She obtained her Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) by NUS in 2011, and her specialist accreditation in Ophthalmology in 2014. She qualified as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS), and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2016. She successfully completed her Glaucoma sub-specialty fellowship training at the Singapore National Eye Centre in 2016. Dr Chew holds various academic appointments; she is a Clinical Assistant Professor of SingHealth Duke-NUS Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences Academic Clinical Programme, and Clinical Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine of NUS. Dr Chew is actively involved in postgraduate and undergraduate education of ophthalmology trainees and medical students, as well as paramedical staff, including optometrists and nurses. Dr Chew is an Adjunct Clinician Investigator at the Singapore Eye Research Institute. Her current research interest is in Glaucoma and she actively participates in presentations at international and local conferences, and has published scientific papers in respected peer-reviewed medical journals. Within SNEC, Dr Chew is a member of the Primary Eye Care Committee, as well as a member of the Philanthropy and Development Committee. Dr Chew's current clinical practice includes general ophthalmology, cataract surgery, and glaucoma.

Dr Liew Woei Kang

Dr Liew Woei Kang is a paediatrician and sub-specialises in Paediatric Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology. He is experienced in managing allergy disorders like asthma, allergic rhinitis, eczema, food & drug allergies; immunological disorders like primary immunodeficiency diseases and periodic fever syndromes; and rheumatological disorders like Kawasaki disease and juvenile arthritis. Beyond standard therapies, Dr Liew is also experienced in allergen/food immunotherapy, immunoglobulin replacement and advanced biologics. In 2007, Dr Liew was awarded the Health Manpower Development Programme Fellowship by SingHealth, and underwent advanced training in paediatric allergy and immunology at the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne, Australia. He was awarded research grants from the National Medical Research Council, SingHealth Foundation and KKH Research Centre to pursue clinical research in paediatric anaphylaxis, drug allergy, primary immunodeficiencies and Kawasaki disease. He is also the immediate-past President of the College of Paediatrics and Child Health Singapore at the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. Dr Liew graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1997 and was admitted as a Member of Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 2003. He later became a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 2009. Dr Liew was previously a consultant paediatrician at KK Women's and Children's Hospital's Department of Paediatrics (Allergy Service and Rheumatology & Immunology Service).

Dr Serene Lim

Dr Serene Lim is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at SWC Serene Fertility & Women's Clinic. Dr Lim has more than 15 years of experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. She obtained her basic medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 2006, following which she underwent specialist training at Singapore General Hospital (SGH), Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology. Her training in one of Asia's leading tertiary academic medical centres established the foundation for her to provide personalised and holistic care to all patients, including those who require complex care. She was awarded the Best Advanced Specialty Trainee (AST) Award for being the top- performing specialist trainee in 2013. Dr Lim has been a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (London) since 2012. Dr Lim draws on the latest in evidence- based medicine to deliver tailored care based on each patient's individual needs. She manages a wide range of women's health and fertility issues, such as menstrual abnormalities, menopausal symptoms, pelvic pain, fibroids, uterine polyps, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, hydrosalpinges or blocked tubes and polycystic ovarian syndrome. She is also skilled in gynaecological surgery, including hysteroscopy and laparoscopy or minimally invasive surgery. She provides care for each stage of pregnancy and is highly skilled at dealing with childbirth challenges. Dr Lim sub-specialises in fertility and is a fully accredited specialist in assisted reproduction by the Ministry of Health (MOH). She provides consultation and clinical services for the full range of fertility issues and treatments, such as ovulation induction and ovulation monitoring, intra- uterine insemination or artificial insemination, in-vitro fertilisation (IVF), as well as fertility preservation including egg freezing. She was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) by the MOH in 2019 to pursue a one-year fellowship in Reproductive Medicine and Fertility Preservation at the Royal Women's Hospital Melbourne - one of the world's leading providers for fertility preservation - under the tutelage of Professor Cathryn Stern. Since her return to Singapore, she has consulted numerous women and couples who need medical fertility preservation in the Singhealth medical cluster (Singapore General Hospital/ National Cancer Centre), and has also been an invited speaker to medical conferences and public forums to share her expertise on fertility preservation. Dr Lim is well poised to help women achieve their fertility preservation goals as Singapore introduces elective egg freezing to single women. Dr Tan Yean Swee Angelin

Dr Tan Yean Swee Angelin is a paediatrician with extensive experience looking after newborns, children and adolescents. She has published papers in medical journals including the British Medical Journal, European Journal of Paediatrics and The Journal of the Singapore Paediatric Society, on chickenpox and the varicella vaccine, chronic diarrhoea and chronic inflammatory bowel disease, parenteral nutritional support and nonneurological manifestations of intracranial tumours. Dr Tan graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1983 and obtained her Master in Paediatrics in 1990. She previously worked at National University Hospital for approximately 13 years before commencing her current paediatrics practice, Angelin's Baby & Child Clinic located at Woodlands. She was also instrumental in setting up the ambulatory paediatrics division in the National University Hospital and also facilitated the multidisciplinary clinics.

Dr Wong Soong Kuan

Dr Wong Soong Kuan graduated from NUS in 1988. He obtained post graduate qualifications finishing his MMED (Surgery) and FRCS (Edinburgh) in 1993 for which he obtained the Chapter of Surgeons gold medal. His advanced surgical training focused on colorectal surgery and he spent a year as a registrar in the Colorectal Dept in Singapore General Hospital. Dr Wong was granted a ministry of health scholarship and spent 2 years in the USA. He obtained a Colorectal Fellowship from the University of Minnesota and a Laparoscopic Fellowship from the Cleveland Clinic Ohio from 1997 to 1999. Dr Wong has also worked in many institutions, including Alexandra and Changi General Hospital and left as a consultant surgeon in 2004 to further his career in private practice.

Dr. Andy Wee

Dr. Andy Wee is an orthopedic surgeon with expertise in shoulder, elbow, and arthroscopic surgery procedures. He has completed two prestigious fellowship programs in North America, specializing in shoulder/elbow surgery and sports medicine/arthroscopy. Dr. Wee is skilled in performing arthroscopic procedures of the shoulder, elbow, knee, hip, and ankle. Dr. Wee obtained his medical degree from the National University of Singapore and completed his orthopedic surgery residency training in 2009. He was awarded scholarships for his North American fellowship training programs in shoulder/elbow surgery and sports medicine/arthroscopy. Dr. Wee has performed over 2,000 arthroscopic procedures, utilizing minimally invasive techniques for shoulder and elbow surgeries. He is considered an expert in arthroscopic treatment of the knee, including ACL reconstruction and meniscus procedures. Dr. Wee regularly presents at international conferences on topics related to shoulder, elbow, and arthroscopic surgery. He provides consultancy services for an arthroscopic device company. Dr. Wee is appointed as a visiting consultant at several local hospitals to provide surgical expertise in his specialties. Dr. Tan Chin Kwong

Dr. Tan Chin Kwong, Alvin is a fellowship-trained and accredited Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with an interest in partial, total, revision, and robotic hip and knee replacements. He obtained his MBBS from the National University of Singapore in 2005 and went on to pursue his specialist training, earning his Fellowship in the College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2015. Dr. Tan then continued his specialist career in Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH), where he served as Deputy Head of Department and holds the position of Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS.Dr. Alvin Tan is a strong advocate for evidence-based, value-driven care. At KTPH, he has introduced several initiatives to enhance the experience of patients undergoing joint replacement surgery, notably the development of the Enhanced Recovery after Surgery (ERAS) Program and a novel screening tool to identify patients who require post hospitalisation care and posters detailing this tool have been accepted at local and international conferences. In his pursuit of improving patient outcomes and recovery after total hip replacement, Dr. Tan has adopted minimally invasive anterior hip approaches such as the Direct Anterior Approach (DAA) and Anterolateral Supine Approach (ALS). He has received training from renowned experts in the field including Dr Joel Matta (Colorado, USA), Dr Heiko Gaichen (Munich, Germany), Dr Hiroyoshi Iwaki (Osaka, Japan) and Dr Phonthakorn Panichkul (Bangkok, Thailand).
