Jennifer began with Harris & Plottel in July of 2015. She has worked as a legal assistant in trusts & estates for over 8 years and is the Attorneys' Estate Planning and Long Term Care Section Legal Assistant. She works closely with the attorneys and our clients throughout the entire process. She is highly skilled
Mikade began with Harris & Plottel in November of 2018. As the firms Administrative Assistant, Mikade works closely with the attorneys and legal assistants to ensure a seamless estate planning process. He is currently in charge of digitalizing the firms files. In his spare time, he works closely with local organizations, such as the Alzheimer's Association.

Neil A. Harris is the Founding Partner of the Firm and is recognized as an expert in Long Term Care and Medi-Cal planning throughout California. Mr. Harris has practiced Elder Law since 1986 and was one of 30 attorneys in California designated as a Certified Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation. He is among an even smaller group of 97 attorneys in the country to be named as a Fellow of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). Mr. Harris is also a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estates Counsel (ACTEC). Mr. Harris has been recognized as an outstanding Elder Law Attorney by his peers in both Martindale Hubbell and Super Lawyers of Northern California. He is a past chairperson of the Elder Law Committee of the State Bar of California, a former member of the Executive Committee of the Trusts and Estate Section of the State Bar of California and regularly teaches Elder Law courses for the State Bar of California. Mr. Harris started his practice in 1987 with an emphasis on Estate Planning and Elder Law. Mr. Harris & Ms. Plottel began working together in 2007.
Mr. Harris started his practice in 1987 as the first and only exclusively Elder Law and Estate Planning Law Firm in the entire twelve county region. Mr. Harris & Ms. Plottel began working together in 2007, and through out the process of this association found tremendous inspiration in their mutual commitment to the practice of law and specifically the field of Elder Law.

Stephanie Sloan graduated in May 2021 from Butte College with an Associate's Degree in Administration of Justice and Behavioral Science. After being an in-home caregiver and going to school for three years, Stephanie jumped into the world of Administration and has enjoyed working in her desired career field for almost three years. Stephanie joined the Harris and Plottel team in November 2021 to explore the field of elder law and estate planning. Stephanie was born and raised in Paradise, CA and still resides in Butte County as she enjoys the area and all it has to offer. Stephanie enjoys hiking, bike riding, and reading in her free time.
