She possesses more than 20 years of experience in direct service and leadership positions across multiple systems which span juvenile justice, counseling, youth development, education, and community engagement. She is the owner of Huliau Aloha LLC providing a suite of high-quality, unprecedented consulting services for businesses, organizations and communities to achieve their mission and vision. She has facilitated diverse, multi stakeholder groups towards finding common purpose and aligning their strengths, opportunities and resources for the health and well-being of communities.

Christopher Pating

Christopher Pating is a management consultant and loves to get people excited about facilitation, strategic planning, and executive/leadership coaching. Chris applies expert knowledge, industry experience, and relentless energy to effectively align mission, objectives, processes and metrics to improve effectiveness and maximize impact.

Jennifer Oyer

Jennifer's passion to serve others and the community, combined with nearly 20 years of fund development experience driving strategy, execution, and building incredible teams, has allowed her to partner with generous donors to raise over $55 million for education, healthcare, and social services organizations. At OSF, Jennifer takes pride in utilizing her strengths in execution and relationship building, allowing her to plan events that nurture collaboration, provide purpose, and nourish thriving communities. In 2019, Jennifer established Community Impact Advisors, a boutique consulting practice to provide integral and strategic expertise in fund development that impacts the growth and sustainability of nonprofit organizations. Strengthening the infrastructure and strategy of nonprofits empowers them to make meaningful decisions which increases their capacity to positively impact the community. She is a graduate of the University of Hawaii and an MA candidate at Azusa Pacific University in Organizational Leadership. Committed to the profession of fund development, Jennifer received her Certified Fund Raising Management (CFRM) distinction from the Lilly School of Philanthropy and is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).

Jennifer Schember-Lang

Jennifer's career in Hawai‘i spans more than 30 years, six non-profit organizations, and a range of social justice issues: access to appropriate education, health care, housing, employment opportunities, and full inclusion and integration of people with disabilities in all communities and in all areas. Jennifer received her undergraduate degree in international relations from the University of Minnesota and her law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, MN. Her most important teachers include the kids she has supported and their parents, the dedicated leaders and staff at the many Hawai‘i non-profits with whom she's worked, several longstanding mentors and close friends, and her colleagues at One Shared Future. Jennifer is glad to be part of OSF, which allows her to play to her strengths and make a difference for children, families, and communities in Hawai‘i.

Karen Aka

Karen Aka has been involved in education and human development for over 40 years. Her career started as special education teacher in the inner city of Pittsburgh, PA, then moved to supervisory positions. At One Shared Future, she designs experiences to promote growth for community and public sector professionals. Her work is informed by adaptive leadership theories and the 4MAT: The Natural Cycle of Learning framework. Karen's education includes a Bachelor's in Education from Ohio University and a Master's in Education from the University of Pittsburgh. She is also certified by the Clifton School of Strengths, a Division of the Gallup organization as a StrengthsFinder coach. Karen is part of the OSF team because it is purpose-driven and strengths-based. This unleashes the staff (and clients) to contribute to the well-being of Hawai‘i.

Laurel Johnston

Rachael Wong

Rachael has dedicated her career to improving quality of life for others: in non-profit leadership roles at the Healthcare Association of Hawai‘i, Kōkua Mau (the state hospice & palliative care organization), and the Hawaiʻi Consortium for Integrative Care; as the director of the State of Hawai‘i Department of Human Services, where she led the creation of the state's ʻOhana Nui multigenerational framework; and now through OSF's professional development programs and an upcoming initiative that will collaboratively address workplace sexual harassment. Rachael earned a bachelor's degree in East Asian studies and certificate in women's studies from Princeton University, a master's degree in public health from UH-Manoa, and a doctorate in public health from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is grateful and excited to be working with a strengths-based team and public, private, and non-profit sector partners to catalyze positive change through collaboration and innovation.

Selena Ching

Selena is all about mission: she has worked in executive management, governance, fundraising, and communication roles in the San Francisco, New York City, and Honolulu non-profit sector for the last 30+ years. Since coming home to Hawai‘i, she has served as the executive director for REHAB Foundation and the Hawaii Youth Symphony. She is an advocate for building stronger communities through sensible collaboration and partnerships as a Principal of Changing Lanes Solutions. She is often inspired by the commitment, passion and selfless acts of those working-at every level-in the public and nonprofit sectors. At OSF, Selena appreciates working with many of these people who are willing to explore transformational change and further pull upon their strengths to effect innovative, meaningful improvements in our communities. She is a graduate of Tufts University and received her MBA from the McLaren School of Business.
