Before becoming Pure Hoops Academy's tallest coach, Andrew played for Grove City College for 4 years, and now has been coaching at GCC for 3 years! Andrew's completed almost 2 years of player development, and has coached & refined multiple D2 & D3 all-conference players.
In his off-time, Andrew can be found playing pickleball and golfing. We often find him jamming out to some country music.
Coach Andrew Beckman grew up in Shelby, Michigan, and played collegiate basketball at Grove City College. As a three-year captian and four-year player, Andrew was a 1,000 point scorer and set the single season and career blocked shots record.
Andrew also ranks in the Top 10 all-time at Grove City in assists, free throws made, and rebounds. In addition to his background as a player, Andrew has spent time as a summer basketball camp instructor & AAU coach.
Andrew is a current assistant coach at the Division III level.
Prior to Pure Hoops, Jason played four years of college basketball at the Division III level (Hope College + Alma College). He amassed over 1700 points and 330 assists, with collegiate averages of 42.4% 3pt and 90.5% FT shooting. He was a two-year captain and two-year All-MIAA and All-Great Lakes Region selection. After college, he played 2.5 years professionally with various clubs in France (FFBB).
He's also served as an assistant coach under legendary high school coach Rick Zoulek (Shelby, MI), and coached several middle school/high school travel teams.

Barb often quips that she comes with the building. We can see why she feels that way - she's been with Pure since 2010! As our Building Manager, you're never going to find Barb in the same place twice. Our facility looks so great because of Barb - she's always touching up something. You can't find that thing that hasn't been touched in months - Barb's your lady! She knows where everything is. She's great at thinking outside of the box to find a solution when it's needed. As a mom of 5 (and now a grandma!), you've got to be clever and creative!

Originally from California, Barry has been coaching for approximately 12 years. In that time, he's worked with Bill Bush (Andrew Agassi), Tim Pawsat (Jan-Michel Gambil), and most recently, Robert Van't Hof (Lindsay Davenport). Barry's primary focus is developing high performance players - which is great, as he's our Director of High Performance.
Chris brings an extensive racket & paddle background to the pickleball instructor team.
Chris grew up playing junior tennis in Atlanta, GA, and went on to play on the University of Georgi Women's tennis team. Chris continued playing competitive tennis and platform tennis for decades before finding pickleball. She entered her first pickleball tournament 5 years ago and hasn't touched a tennis racquet since.
Chris competes in pickleball tournaments all over the country and has won medals in both Mixed and Women's Doubles.
Dana brings a dynamic element of fun, passion, and high energy to structured pickleball play within both a recreational and athletic club setting. She has over 5 years experience as a pickleball program coordinator organizing and running pickleball social mixers, round robins, leagues, mini tournaments, and team building events. After becoming an immediate fanatic in 2017, Dana then became an Ambassador for the U.S.Amatuer Pickleball Association (USAPA) in 2018, where she has volunteered many hours promoting and growing the sport of pickleball in her community and surrounding areas.
David brings over 20 years of sales and marketing experience to Pure Athletex!
When he's not at Pure, David can be found outdoors, reading, or most frequently with his 3 girls - Kelly, Lilia, and Emilia.

Erikka did her undergrad at Slippery Rock, graduating in 2019, and grad school with Edinboro, graduating in 2022. She's does art lessons for all ages, has sold paintings, and completed a number of murals. As our Athletic Administrator, you'll find her doing a little bit of everything!

Jason's energy is something unmatched! Maybe that has something to do with one of his favorite things: good coffee!
Since joining PTA in 2015, Karley has grown alongside our company, starting as Front Desk staff to Integrator.
When she isn't utilizing the skills she's acquired to help our company flourish, you can find Karley reading or exploring in her free time.

Karolina has been coaching one way or the other since 2010. A 2016 graduate of Grove City College with a degree in entrepreneurship, she has taught in both Pennsylvania and Hilton Head, SC. Karolina currently leads our 10U program. You'll see her on court with our Aces clinics, on our summer camps, and running our 10U tournaments - look out for the girl with the bull horn.
Kathy's whole family has been with PTA. Her son learned to play tennis with PTA, her daughter worked the front desk for Pure, and she and her husband play here! She's been our Adult Coordinator since 2014, and within a couple years, started working with our junior players as well! And as if that wasn't already busy enough, she's captain of multiple USTA teams!
Kathy bleeds blue & white. She and Greg met & matriculated from Penn State University - her children are also PSU alums! WE ARE! PENN STATE!
With over 30 years of playing and coaching high performance tennis, Kelly has quite an impressive track record!

Nick has been coaching tennis since 2015. Before he joined PTA in 2022, he taught in Long Island, NY, as a Senior Tennis Professional and On-Court Director. Nick loves to foster the love of the game in young students.
Nick is rarely found without a coffee in hand - unless he's holding his daughter!

Brought on as our Director of Business Development, he also applies his 5+ years of experience in the fitness industry to sport-specific training with our junior athletes.
