Job Titles:
- Environment Manager for Norfolk
Andy graduated from Plymouth University in 1992 and has worked in nature conservation for over 30 years, mostly in East Anglia.
He has a varied background including protected site management, habitat restoration and creation, nature in the planning system, and managing our changing coast and seas.
Most recently, he has focussed on Nature Recovery Networks for Natural England and roll-out of Local Nature Recovery Strategies in Suffolk and Norfolk. He is excited by opportunities to turn the strategic planning into practical delivery: working with partners and using the emerging world of nature finance and land use change to create more space for nature and people on the ground
Angus graduated from the University of Leeds in 2016, before going on to gain practical experience in commercial woodland management. This forestry experience, alongside a background in family farming and independent agri-environment consultancy, gives Angus a detailed perspective on these three core aspects of modern land management.
Joining Albanwise in late 2017, Angus is excited by the increasing opportunities for enhanced environmental land management, building on a strong track record of delivery within Albanwise of local & landscape scale projects
Conor brings a strong foundation in wildlife conservation to our team, holding two university degrees and an extended diploma in the field. With a passion for freshwater habitats and native woodland restoration, Conor has valuable experience working alongside bat surveyors and the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust. His work has consistently upheld high standards of habitat management, aimed at enhancing biodiversity and ecosystem health. Since joining us in 2024, Conor has shown great enthusiasm for creating new habitats for wildlife while actively engaging the local community in conservation efforts.
Matilda joined Albanwise Environment in 2023 after graduating from her BSc in Wildlife Conservation at Nottingham Trent University. She also gained practical habitat management experience whilst working in the wildlife charity sector. Her varied role includes the monitoring and administration of environmental grant schemes as well as carbon accounting and GIS mapping and data management.
Mike graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2000, before commencing on a varied career in nature conservation and sustainable development.
He has significant commercial experience, holding previous roles in business development and as a managing director in the charity sector.
As a founding Director of Albanwise Environment, he is excited by the opportunity to create impactful growth and share our vision for developing dynamic, sustainable, and inspiring landscapes.
Oliver graduated from Newcastle University in 2021 in Countryside Management. He has since gained experience working as an Assistant Ranger and Woodland Restoration Worker for various organisations where he took on a public engagement role and honed his practical chainsaw skills. Oliver joined Albanwise Environment in late 2022 and has since contributed towards the delivery of a range of forestry projects that aim to build sustainable woodlands and provide commercial returns across various estates.

- Environment Manager for Yorkshire
After studying archaeology and biomedical and forensic studies at undergrad and postgrad, Sarah worked in the creative communications sector for many years before retraining in conservation for a move into the environment sector in 2011. Sarah has held various roles since that time, but is most passionate about species recovery, landscape-scale land management, partnership projects and the relationship between people and nature.
Joining the team in March 2023 as Environment Manager for Yorkshire, she is currently delivering one of Defra's Landscape Recovery projects at Leven Carrs, an ambitious piece of work looking into the conversion of 622ha of arable farmland into a dynamic wetland landscape creating more space for wildlife and better access to nature for people.
Tom graduated from Askham Bryan College in 2020 before taking on a Forestry Team Member role for a traditional estate where he was able to develop his skills and qualification further. Since joining Albanwise Environment in early 2023, Tom has enjoyed the diversity that the role brings and has brought across valuable experience working on tree nurseries.
Tom achieved a diploma in Trees and Timber in 2014 from Easton College and has since gained a plethora of experience working in both the farming and timber sectors. Tom joined Albanwise Environment in 2022 as the delivery lead for stewardship options across Norfolk. This work involves the establishment and maintenance of stewardship options to optimize the environmental benefits they offer.
