Amanda Horsburgh

Amanda graduated from Wolverhampton School of Physiotherapy in 1991 with a BSc in Physiotherapy. She undertook junior rotations at Halton Hospital in Runcorn. After a year out travelling, she secured a job working at the Royal Preston Hospital working on the orthopaedic wards, rehabilitation gym and musculoskeletal outpatient department. It was here that she did some work in Pain clinic and qualified as an acupuncturist in 1995. She began some private work at a clinic in Prestwich, Manchester and then worked as a member of the Community Physiotherapy team at several outpatient clinics in Liverpool. She moved to work in Central Cheshire where she completed an ISM Certificate in Management Studies in 2000. Amanda bought Sheena Storah & Associates Ltd in 2002. She has worked there ever since whilst bringing up her family. She is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and Acupuncture Association of chartered physiotherapist (AACP).

Clare Cowell

Clare graduated as a Chartered Physiotherapist from Keele University in 2004. She worked at Macclesfield Hospital, undertaking junior rotations across multiple areas before specialising as a Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist. She moved to Knutsford Hospital and then to Primary Care, managing the Physiotherapy Service across GP surgeries. Clare completed a MSC in Neuromusculoskeletal Healthcare at Keele University from 2006-2008. Clare has a special interest in acupuncture and pain medicine. She completed a diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture at Shulan College of Chinese Medicine in Manchester, and treats a wide variety of patients with acupuncture. Clare is an accredited AACP tutor, teaching acupuncture foundation and refresher courses to Post Graduate Physiotherapists. She has recently combined her clinical work with university teaching, spending two years with the MSK Team at Keele University. Clare continues to work within the University setting as a visiting lecturer.

Trevor Lewis

Trevor qualified from Wolverhampton School of Physiotherapy in 1990 with a Graduate Diploma and joined the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. He undertook junior rotations at Broadgreen Hospital, Liverpool and was promoted to senior grade in 1992. From 1994 to 1996 he worked at BUPA (Stretton) treating members of the public and sportsmen from Warrington Warriors Rugby League FC and Warrington Swimming Club. In 1996 he worked as a senior physiotherapist in Auckland, New Zealand in a private clinic treating the public and local amateur rugby players. From 1997 to 1999 he worked as a senior physiotherapist at Aintree Hospital and in 1999 was promoted to Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital. That year he also became a network physiotherapist for the English Badminton Association. In 2005 he was promoted to Consultant Physiotherapist at Knowsley PCT specialising in lower limb assessment, treatment and research. He gained a Masters Degree in Sports Science from John Moore's University, Liverpool in 2001. His thesis was looking at rehabilitation of ankle injuries. Trevor has presented work at international conference and published papers on lower limb topics. Trevor currently works part-time as an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner at Aintree University Hospital leading the Physiotherapy Rheumatology Service. He continues to be involved in sport, working at the Commonwealth Games and World Athletics Championships. Trevor lectures on both the undergraduate and postgraduate Physiotherapy courses at Liverpool School of Physiotherapy. Trevor is a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.

Zoe Pugh

Zoe graduated as a Chartered Physiotherapist from the University of Brighton in 1997. She undertook junior Rotations at the North Middlesex Hospital before moving to Windsor to specialise in Outpatients and Orthopaedics. Following a move to the private sector in 2001, Zoe also worked with professional sports teams including football, ice hockey and basketball. In 2004, Zoe moved to a management position at the BMI Princess Margaret Hospital and balanced this with clinical work. In 2009, on relocation to Cheshire, Zoe continued her work in the private sector, and in 2012 completed her Pilates Matwork certification. This allows Zoe to balance her musculoskeletal practice with Pilates teaching on a one to one and class basis. Between 2018- 2021 Zoe worked in an Occupational health setting based within a local company, increasing her insight into this area. Zoe has a special interest in postoperative orthopaedics, sports injuries and spinal conditions and has extensive experience in treating musculoskeletal Antenatal and Postnatal conditions. Zoe is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), Health Professions council (HPC), Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates institute (APPI) and Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP).
