Agnesa Bakhshyan

Agnesa joined The Buckner Company in 2017 bringing with her over 20 years of insurance experience. Prior to joining Buckner, Agnesa owned her own agency for 10 years. Although experienced with most industries, she specializes in the hospitality and construction sector. Agnesa has earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Westminster.

Angie Grover

Angie has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, starting her career in 1994. She has been with The Buckner Company since 2015, specializing in protecting the assets of individuals and families. She holds a Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation and is currently working toward her CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation. Angie enjoys about anything in the great outdoors, hiking and swimming being her favorites. She has 2 children and loves spending time with them. Baseball is a huge part of their lives and you can find her on the baseball fields in Idaho and Utah almost year-round supporting her son's love of the game. Her favorite vacation destination is the Oregon coast.

Annmarie Zimmerman

AnnMarie joins Buckner with over 17 years of Commercial and Personal Lines Insurance experience. She received her Bachelors of Arts degree in Sports Management from Concordia University. After college AnnMarie started working for a direct writing company and most recently worked for an insurance agency in Northern Colorado. She has loved insurance ever since she fell into it many years ago. AnnMarie has her CISR Elite and QCLS designations and is working with our Select Commercial accounts. In her free time, AnnMarie and her partner, Jared, enjoy being outside in beautiful Colorado and going on trail hikes with their dog Kramer. They also love traveling to the Caribbean with extended family.

Barb Elsasser

Barb has more than 30 years of experience, joining the insurance industry in 1987. With Buckner, she specializes in trucking and general insurance. She earned an Associates degree from Northeastern Junior College and has acquired her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation. As a child, Barb loved horses and playing softball. In high school, she won Best Actress for a musical production-afterwards, she continued to sing for various events until she moved to Denver. She loves the movie White Christmas and her favorite restaurant to frequent is YaYa's. Her greatest accomplishment in life is raising two Marine sons-both have returned home safely.

Becky Jo

Becky Jo grew up in San Diego with a canyon behind her house; her childhood was full of capturing tadpoles and watching them grow into frogs, swinging from trees into the creek, having mud between her toes, and enduring poison ivy scars. Her greatest accomplishment is raising her six daughters to work hard, cultivate empathy, and never compromise personal values. Becky Jo is an adrenaline junkie and loves to try anything at least once. Her main goal is to smile and laugh as much as possible throughout life!

Blake Nilsson

Blake started as a Client Advisor with Buckner in 2008. He works primarily in our Ogden, UT office as a Property & Casualty Advisor and helps a wide range of mid to large size businesses throughout Utah. Blake is a graduate of Weber State University and has also held his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation since 2011. Outside of work he enjoys Crossfit, golf, coaching and cheering for his kids teams, reading, and being involved in the community. He and his wife Holly have 3 children which he says are his greatest challenge and also his greatest joy!

Brad Larsen - COO

Brad has been in the insurance industry since 2007, joining the Buckner team in 2014. He specializes in helping clients navigate the claims process, with a particular emphasis on coverage analysis. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Utah in Political Science. He also holds Associate in Claims (AIC) and Associate in General Insurance (AINS) designations, as well as a Utah Property and Casualty license. In 2019, Brad became Director of Client Experience where he manages all aspects of the client experience. Brad loves going to the beach and snorkeling. His favorite place to explore while snorkeling is Hanauma Bay in Hawaii. Brad also loves to read biographies and enjoys learning how things work.

Brad Nielson

Brad entered the insurance industry in 1978, joining Buckner in 2010. His areas of expertise include Agriculture, Aviation, Fuel Distributors, and Construction. He has obtained his CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) licensure.

Brandon Robertson

Brandon's passion is taking care of people. He has over 15 years of experience in business operations across the healthcare and technology landscape. Brandon works to use his knowledge to help others know they can have a partner in their risk management, cyber and safety programs. As an experienced operator and executive, Brandon understands what it is like to own and operate a business. He's gone through many of the difficulties businesses face in managing risk and insurance. Brandon works to use his background and knowledge to help businesses understand how to build a partnership with their insurance broker and effectively transfer risk! He uses his experience to get to know your company's needs and partner with you to create the best insurance map possible and secure the most appropriate coverage for your firm. His goal is to work together with you to be safe, reduce risk and increase compliance to avoid incurring claim worthy events. His goal is to ask the right questions together and develop the best plan possible to reduce cost and manage your company's risk. Brandon is passionate about helping businesses take care of people - their employees, customers, patients and clients. Brandon hopes to use this passion and experience to help others know they can have a partner in risk management. Brandon graduated from the University of Utah with a B.A. in Finance and received his MBA from Westminster College. He enjoys traveling, mountain biking and spending time with his family.

Brett Nilsson

Brett began his career in the insurance industry in 1979, joining Buckner in 2006. Brett's specialties include manufacturing, construction, habitational, rail transportation and international business. He has received his Bachelors of Science degree in Business Finance and has also received his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation. Throughout his notable career, Brett has been named Utah Young Agent of the Year in 1986, Utah Agent of the Year in 1996, as well as President of the Independent Insurance Agents of Utah in 1993-1994. Brett has been the chairman of the Board for the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America and on the Board for the World Federation of Insurance Intermediaries. In 2017, Brett was listed in Insurance Business Americas Top 100 agents in the country. Today, Brett and his wife are proud parents of four children and fourteen grandchildren.

Brian Janeck

Brian joined Buckner in 2020, with over 40 years in the insurance industry. After graduating from San Diego State University, with a degree in Public Administration, he started primarily working with construction firms. His goal is to help manage risk and insurance costs. Brian has both his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designations, and attends ongoing continued insurance education. Brian's hobbies are fly fishing, hiking and golf.

Béat Koszinowski

Béat Koszinowski is an insurance professional at Buckner with a specialty focus on commercial and residential construction insurance, bonds, and real-estate insurance such as homeowners associations, commercial property, and apartments. His clients include builders, developers, contractors, property owners and property managers. Béat is a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) & Community Insurance & Risk Management Specialist (CIRMS). He is an active board member of the Salt Lake Home Builders Association and a committee member of the Utah Chapter of the Community Associations Institute. He has served as a coverage expert and expert witness in his specialty fields and was also named one of the top 100 insurance producers in the nation in 2017.

Camren Applegate

Camren joined Buckner in 2015 as an Employee benefits broker and is licensed in Health, Life and Disability insurance. In his role, he helps employers develop strategic approaches with their employee benefits, as well as educating them how to become better health care consumers to offset rising costs. Camren enjoys cycling, mountain biking, watching local sports teams and free samples from Costco. He earned his bachelor's degree in Professional Sales from Weber State University. He's still believes that Michael Jordan pushed off.

Carol Dana

Carol has more than 30 years of experience in employee benefits. Carol begun her insurance career in 1987 as a captive agent with BlueCross BlueShield of Utah. She than owned and operated her own insurance agency, Dana Benefits until she started with The Buckner Company in 2011. Carol has a strong back ground in Employee Benefits, sharing her knowledge and experience with fully insured and alternate funded health plans. She's a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters and currently serves on the board. She's also a 2018 SelectHealth Diamond Partner Award Recipient. Carol enjoys camping, 4 wheeling, water skiing and traveling, her favorite vacation spot, South Africa. She considers raising her two beautiful daughters her greatest accomplishment.

Chad Driggs

Chad joined Buckner in 2014, having started in the insurance industry in 2009. His industry specialties include trucking and transportation. Chad has completed 3 marathons, 2 half-marathons, and one triathlon-running the Boston Marathon is his greatest life achievement. He enjoys eating at Ruth's Chris, his favorite movie is the Shawshank Redemption, and Hawaii is his top getaway location

Chris Boone - EVP

Chris is the Executive Vice President and manages Buckner's Utah County Office, located in Pleasant Grove. Prior to joining Buckner, Chris worked in the construction industry for 8 years. His background and licenses provide him with industry-specific knowledge and expertise that are extremely valuable to his clients. Chris earned his bachelor's degree in Finance from Utah Valley University and later went back to complete his MBA, with a Finance Emphasis as well. Chris is a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and is actively involved in several Home Builder and Contractor Associations. Chris loves to spend time with his wife (Shelby) and their 3 children. He enjoys working with his hands and isn't afraid of hard work. Chris enjoys hunting, riding horses, fishing, playing sports, and anything that gets him in the outdoors with family and friends.

Colin Kresock

Colin joined in the insurance industry in 2005, specializing in private equity insurances including manufacturers, distributors, IT, and medical equipment. Prior to joining the industry, he received both his Bachelor's degree and his MBA. As a youth, Colin's hobbies included landscaping and working on small engines. Colin and his wife have had the privilege of raising their two, successful children, which he feels has been one of his greatest accomplishments. Today, Colin considers himself a frustrated golfer who loves to read, as well as a lifelong learner.

Craig Hilton

Craig has been in the insurance industry since 1989 and has been with Buckner since 2003. He has industry specialties of construction, financial institutions, hospitals, restaurants, manufacturing and professional services. Craig is on the 2020 Insurance Business America's top 100 Producers. Craig's favorite place to be, outside of work, is on the river fly fishing or hunting and his favorite place to be is at his cabin near Clear Creek. His favorite movie is The Hobbit and he loves eating Sushi. As a child, Craig enjoyed baseball, football, basketball and fishing or hunting with his father. He considers marrying his wife Sharon as his greatest accomplishment.

Doug Ball

After graduating from Boise State University, Doug began his insurance career with Fireman's Fund in Salt Lake City in 1976. After 4 years as a casualty underwriter, he left the insurance company ranks and joined the agency business specializing in insurance and bonding for construction companies, later expanding into working with real estate developers on their risk management needs. Doug joined the Buckner Company in 2009 as its first Idaho employee. Through both practical experience and classroom learning, Doug has gained a significant level of knowledge on the best way to handle the challenging risks that these industries face daily. Doug holds his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter designation (CPCU), Construction Risk Insurance Specialist designation (CRIS), and Accredited Advisor in Insurance designation (AAI). He attends industry seminars regularly to stay current on the evolving insurance industry and how it best serves the construction and real estate industries. Doug loves insurance and particularly how it relates to construction and real estate development. Beyond that he enjoys helping his clients solve the challenges they have on surety bond support and insurance questions including negotiating with project owners to find reasonable solutions to issues.

Doug Nielsen

Doug joined Buckner in 2021 with over 20 years of insurance experience. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education from BYU. He specializes in Workers Compensation insurance and is passionate about workplace safety and saving employers money. Doug likes to tell employees, "I still have all 10 of my fingers and a back that works properly. I hope you have the same tonight when you go home to your family." In his free time, Doug loves spending time with his wife of 43 years and hiking!

Dustin Thome

Dustin graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts in Communication and entered the insurance industry in 2002. He specializes in habitational and commercial property, including apartments, associations, retail centers, and warehouses. Dustin was the captain of the Cherry Creek High School football and basketball teams and went on to play both sports in college. Among his favorite movies are Hoosiers, Ace Ventura, Braveheart, Pulp Fiction and Forest Gump. He is the father of 3 amazing kids and husband to a beautiful wife.

Emily Stone

Fabio Bravo

Fabio joined Buckner in 2013. He was previously involved in the banking and insurance industry since 2009. Fabio has a degree in Finance with an emphasis in International Business from Utah Valley University. Fabio specializes in the trucking industry and has received the Specialist in Transportation and Risk (STAR) designation from Great West Casualty, as well as the Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS) designation. Originally from Brazil, Fabio speaks four languages fluently and enjoys working with customers from different backgrounds and ethnicities. Fabio enjoys working out and is an avid Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner and competitor. During his time off, you will find him spending time with his wife and two kids or grappling with someone on the mats.

Frank Lancaster - CFO, EVP

Frank began his insurance career in 1999 working in a small insurance agency while developing his education. After graduating with an Accounting degree from the University of Utah and obtaining an MBA from the University of Colorado, he fully committed to the insurance industry by immersing himself in budgeting, mergers and acquisitions, operational workflows, and compliance. Frank's personal focus is centered on a patient wife and 3 great kids. His hobbies consist of anything outdoors, including snowboarding, volleyball, motorcycle riding, and the occasional camping trip. He is a little bit of a foodie and loves to find the local "hole in the wall" restaurant. Frank also enjoys attending a baseball game when he needs to relax.

Grant Marriott

Grant joined Buckner in 2020, after graduating from BYU-Idaho with his Bachelor's in Business Management. He specializes in working in construction and trucking and is passionate about finding unique solutions for his clients. In his free time, he enjoys rock climbing, snowboarding, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends.

Heather Masina

Heather joined Buckner in 2020 with over 25 years of insurance experience. She has both her Certified Risk Manager (CRM) and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designations. Heather specializes in personal lines and small commercial business. Heather is passionate about her family, and her greatest accomplishment is her children. She grew up roller skating and used to be an electrician!

James Eldredge

James has over 10 years of experience in the industry, getting his start with insurance in 2004. He joined Buckner in 2015, with specialties in construction, real estate, and manufacturing. James received a Bachelor's degree, procured his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation, as well as a Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designation. In his spare time, James enjoys snowboarding, golfing, playing hockey, and loves to travel-that is when he is not chasing his two active children in their extracurricular activities of dance, tumbling, lacrosse, hockey, soccer, and baseball. He aspires to take his family to every continent one day. His favorite movie is Miracle (the USA hockey team in 1980) and his favorite Utah restaurant is the American-bistro, Tiburon.

Jason Nielson

Jason specializes in Farming and Crop insurance. Jason grew up and continues to love playing golf. He is most proud of his 5 beautiful children.

Jerry Anderegg

Jerry is a seasoned property and liability insurance agent with over four decades of experience. He has been with Buckner since 2000. His areas of expertise are contracting and contract bonding, large property, retail and wholesale-with special emphasis on lumber and building materials, manufacturing-with emphasis on sheet metal and steel, construction equipment dealers, and fuel dealers. He holds a B.A. and Ph. D from the University of Utah and a Master's degree from the University of California-Davis. Jerry was an accomplished junior ski racer, and skiing, along with golf and mountaineering, has been a lifelong passion. As a member of the Alpenbock Club, he climbed technical routes in the Wasatch, Uintahs, and Tetons, having summited many notable peaks. As a child, Jerry performed as a soprano soloist and he continues to showcase his voice, though now as a baritone. He is married to the former Cathy Pearce, and together they have 7 children and 35 grandchildren.

Joe Anderson

Joe entered into the insurance industry in 2001. He specializes in Real Estate, Construction, Manufacturing, and Senior Living Centers. Joe graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a BBA in Accounting and Finance. He has won numerous insurance awards including Producer of the Year in 2016. Joe is passionate about helping high-risk youth change their lives for the better. Joe also enjoys sports and played football when he was young. He considers his greatest accomplishment to be building a strong family with his wife, Cherish.

Joe Palmer

Joe joined Buckner in 2021, with 7 years of insurance experience. His focus is providing tailored risk management solutions, with his areas of expertise in Agriculture and Crop Insurance. Joe holds his Property and Casualty license, Bachelors in Business Management, MBA and CAPP Certification. Joe grew up playing baseball and basketball, and is passionate about serving others. He believes life is always better when you get lost in honest hard work for others. His greatest accomplishment is marrying his high school sweetheart and raising four wonderful children together!

Jon Murray

Jon has had his hand in the insurance industry since 2004, later joining Buckner in 2015. He specializes in the employee benefits sector, focusing on mid to large businesses (with 50+ employees). He holds a Master's of Business Administration degree. He enjoys the movie Fletch and his favorite restaurant in Utah is Mandarin. He loves both water and snow skiing, as well as traveling to Maui as a getaway location. He once played a pickup hockey game with Olympic figure skater Scott Hamilton and had an interesting conversation with actor Sean Astin regarding his annual salary. He cherishes his marriage as his greatest accomplishment.

JUAN VALDERRAMA

Juan joined Buckner in 2022 specializing trucking, construction, and sports insurance. He earned his bachelors degree in Business Administration and is excited to jump into the insurance world. Juan enjoys playing soccer, playing trading card games, and making clay figures. Juan competes in a competitive soccer leagues and is proud that he was able to get his college education paid for through soccer in a D1 school.

Justin Robinson

Justin Robinson epitomizes passion, hard work, grit, and perseverance. Justin grew up in American Fork, Utah. It was there he developed his love for business and helping others with their needs. Justin funded his two-year service mission to Brazil by selling sodas out of a coke machine in his front yard. Justin left Utah to get his B.S. Degree in Finance at Arizona State University. Since graduating, Justin returned to Utah where he began his career at Buckner and has been managing & developing property and casualty insurance programs since 2006. Justin has his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) Designation and was named Young Agent of the Year by Independent Insurance Agents of Utah in 2013. When not at work Justin can be found fly fishing, coaching baseball & basketball, attending a dance recital, or serving in his local community. You might, on occasion, find him watching a hair growing infomercial. Justin is a family man with a devotion to God, his beautiful wife, and five children.

Karl Elsasser

Karl has 40+ years of insurance knowledge and expertise. Throughout that time, he has worked primarily on commercial property & casualty accounts and has largely specialized in the trucking industry. Currently he is on the Board of Colorado Motor Carriers Association. Karl received his Bachelor's degree from Arizona State University, where he graduated Cum Laude. Today, Karl holds both Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and AIU designations. He was also a co-owner of a successful agency, which was later sold to Buckner. As a youth, Karl was heavily involved in sports including baseball, basketball, cross country and track. Today his primary sporting activities are golf and skiing. Something that many people may not know about Karl, is that he has lived in 17 different locals including both coasts and a brief stint in England with most of his working career in the Mountain West States.

Kurt Nielson

Since getting his start in 2009, Kurt has been a great asset to the insurance industry. Prior to joining Buckner, Kurt received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance, as well as Bachelor's degree in Spanish. Kurt has a passion for both playing and coaching sports, and has enjoyed watching his own four children learn and develop new skills through athletics. His family is very important to him and when asked about his favorite restaurant, he replied, "My wife's home cooking".

Lance Butler

Lance joined Buckner in 2017, bringing with him over 25 years of insurance experience. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and has experience in various sectors within the insurance industry. Lance enjoyed playing sports as a child and considers his kids to be his greatest accomplishment in life. Carmine's on Penn is his favorite restaurant and Hawaii is his favorite place for a getaway.

Larry Meyer

Larry has been in the industry for over 40 years, having gotten his start in insurance in 1977. He joined Buckner in 2010, specializing in the employee benefits sector. He has a Bachelor's Degree, as well as his Fellow Life Management Institute (FLMI) designation. Larry served two tours of military service in Vietnam, and was awarded the Bronze Star and Presidential Unit Citation. His favorite movie is O Brother, Where Art Thou?, and he enjoys both Rodizio Grill and Olive Garden when it comes to favorite dining spots. He is grandfather to 18 of the cutest and smartest grandchildren.

Lianna Kinard - CMO

Lianna joined Buckner in 2016 as Vice President of Marketing. In her role, she manages the firm's brand communications and marketing strategy for five offices. Lianna earned a B.A. in Marketing from the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah and is currently pursuing her Master's Degree in General Management from Harvard University. Lianna is from Honolulu, Hawaii and was a member of the National Scholastic Surfing team in high school. She enjoys traveling with her children.

Lisa Levy

Lisa has been in the insurance industry for over 40 years and joined Buckner in August 2016. She has held positions with various regional and national brokers and has also been a commercial lines underwriter with a large national insurer. Lisa holds both a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation. She is active with various insurance organizations.

Mark Polk

Mark joined the insurance industry in 2009 and brings more than 12 years of insurance experience to Buckner. A graduate of the University of Wyoming, Mark began his career building a Colorado-based construction company. During his time running operations, Mark personally experienced many of the challenges business owners face: including OSHA investigations, DOT audits, and remaining compliant with ever-changing government regulations. Mark is both OSHA 10, OSHA 30 certified and a former Executive Director of the Land Improvement Contractors of America (LICA), Mountain States Region. With his experience and certifications, he brings a unique perspective that encompasses managing business risks and costs.

Merrilee Robbins

Merrilee has over 25 years of insurance industry experience that she brought with her when she joined Buckner in 2013. Her specialty is trucking/transportation and she has obtained her Transportation Risk Specialist (TRS) designation. She serves as a member of Sentry Agent's Advisory Council. In her spare time, Merrilee loves to travel, frequent outdoor concerts in the summer and enjoys reading historical fiction. Her grandmother taught her to crochet as a child-a pastime she still loves as an adult. Her ideal vacationing spots include houseboating on Lake Powell, Disneyland with her grandkids or frequenting any beach.

Mike Osborne

Mike began his career in the insurance industry in 1988, joining Buckner in 2000 with an emphasis in the manufacturing and construction industries. Prior to joining the insurance industry, Mike earned his Bachelor's degree in English from Utah State University. Mike loved Little League Baseball as a youth and played on Utah State University's Club Volleyball team while earning his degree. Mike also won the Scholar's Day Competition at Utah State for his work in Short Fiction. Today Mike enjoys skiing and playing his guitars in his spare time. He once closed an account while dressed as Charlie Brown and he considers his greatest accomplishment in life to be raising his two sons and daughter

Ryan Giauque

Ryan joined Buckner in 2018, and has over 4 years of experience in the insurance industry. He specializes in providing risk management solutions for Construction, Commercial Real Estate, and Healthcare industries. Ryan has his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designations. Ryan grew up snowboarding, playing baseball and basketball, and fly fishing. In his free time, he still loves to snowboard, golf, go to Utah Jazz games and traveling with his wife!

Ryan Stringham

Ryan began his insurance career with The Buckner Company in 2003. He is a Client Advisor consulting his clients in the areas of Risk Management, all lines of Property & Casualty Insurance, Workers Compensation, and Surety Bonding. His industry focus in the commercial sectors include construction, commercial real estate, professional services, and healthcare-related accounts. Ryan has consistently grown his book of business through building long lasting relationships with his clients and has become one of the largest Producers at The Buckner Company. He is associated with many different insurance organizations, including Utah Association of Independent Insurance Agents (UAIIA) and is a former President of the Salt Lake Chapter of the UAIIA. In 2008 he was the recipient of the prestigious award, Young Agent of the Year. He currently serves as the Chairman of WCF Insurance Agent Advisory Council and is an active member of the global network of leading insurance Agent/Brokers, RiskProNet International. Ryan earned his bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Utah and his MBA from the University of Phoenix. Early in his career in 2005 he received the highly regarded designation Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) from the National Alliance and he continues to maintain this designation. In his free time he enjoys all kinds of sports and especially golf during the warm months of the year. He also enjoys spending time with his wife Hanna and their three children. They reside in Draper, Utah.

Scott Cowan

Scott began his career in the insurance industry in 2008 specializing in trucking and transportation. A graduate from the University of Utah, Scott received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communication. In 2018, Scott received the Transportation Risk Specialist (TRS) designation and has been a member of the Utah Trucking Association for several years. Scott is an avid sports fan and has instilled the love of sports in his children. For the past six years, Scott has coached his two son's baseball and football teams. Above all, Scott considers being a husband and a father to his four amazing children his greatest accomplishments.

Sierra Treon - CHRO

Sierra started with Buckner in 2015 as the Human Resources Director. She oversees the "people" side of the company, including Benefit Administration, Legal Compliance, Employee Relations, Payroll, Recruiting/Onboarding and the Wellness Program. Prior to joining Buckner, Sierra spent nearly three years managing the HR Department for Oakwood Homes. Sierra graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources. She earned her Group Benefit Associate designation in 2017 and is a Society of Human Resources Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) . Sierra enjoys the outdoors and loves spending time with her family. After moving 15 times while growing up, she now calls Denver home.

Tanner Eldredge

Tanner graduated from Utah Valley University with a Bachelor's of Science in Marketing. In 2015, he joined Buckner and currently specializes in the construction sector. Tanner enjoys his time out on the golf course and his favorite vacation spot is Desert Mountain. Ruth's Chris is among his favorite dining options here in the Salt Lake valley and Moneyball is his top movie pick. Anyone that knows Tanner would agree that he is a Utah Jazz fanatic and will chat with anyone about the latest trades, scores, and game highlights.

Taylor Romrell

Taylor joined the insurance industry in 2015 after completing his Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Since then he has received his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) licensure. His industry specialties include Healthcare and Construction. Taylor speaks Spanish and enjoys travel, history and reading. His favorite move is "Last of the Mohicans". In his free time, he enjoys working out, playing the guitar and spending time with family and friends.

Terry H. Buckner - CEO, President

Terry H. Buckner is the President and CEO of Buckner -a third generation, Utah family-owned business. Terry studied as a finance undergraduate student at Brigham Young University and earned his MBA from Utah State University in 1979. He completed his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 1983. After assuming full command of Buckner in 1992, Terry made several critical strategic moves that allowed the company to experience explosive growth, expanding to more than 20 times the size than when he took the reins. Terry has served as the Chairman of the Salt Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and served on various advisory boards for BYU, Utah State University, and Weber State University. Terry and his wife, Lynne, are parents to seven children and 13 grandchildren. He enjoys mountain biking, golf, and skiing, as well as experiencing new foods, activities, and cultures as he travels with his family.

TJ Cerva

TJ joins The Buckner Company with over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. He specializes in employee benefits, human resource services, employee wellness, voluntary products, life insurance, disability insurance, and supplemental benefits. He is also licensed in Property and Casualty, which gives him well-rounded perspectives into business insurance needs. TJ enjoys water and snow skiing, wakeboarding, and riding motorcycles. He loves adventure motorcycling and camping, all around Utah. He also considers himself a foodie. He loves to eat out at different restaurants and try new foods. His favorite place to vacation is Flaming Gorge, UT and he loves spending time with his family and friends.

Trent White

Trent joins Buckner with five years of insurance experience. After graduating with his degree in Personal Finance Planning from Utah Valley University, he started working in personal lines and commercial insurance where he won multiple MVP sales awards with his previous agency. Trent specializes in the Construction and Professional Services industries and recently got his CIC designation. Trent grew up playing football, baseball, basketball and golf - he also loves spending time outdoors with family and friends. Trent is the first person in his family to graduate with a university degree, and is passionate about improving both his professional and personal life. When he is not working, he loves to spend his free time with his wife, daughter, and son!

Troy Sibelius

Troy has been in the insurance industry for over 25 years. He holds Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designations from The National Alliance, and was selected as a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects (FASLA) in 2010. In 2021, Troy was honored to receive the Insurance Person of the Year Award from the Professional Independent Insurance Agents of Colorado, their top annual award given to Colorado agents that exemplify professionalism in the industry. Troy also received the 2021 John Garvey Person of the Year Award from the Associated Landscape Contractors of Colorado. Troy completed his Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture from Colorado State University. Troy's industry specialties include landscape architects and contractors, architects, engineers, green industry wholesalers, manufacturing, transportation, and freight forwarders. Since his youth, Troy has enjoyed downhill and cross-country skiing and finds great satisfaction being outdoors where he can also golf, hunt and he is an avid flyfisherman. Troy also enjoys teaching others and has had the pleasure of being a guest speaker at multiple risk management programs and university classes and has written numerous insurance and risk management articles for various trade industries throughout the years.

Whitney Ennis

Whitney began her insurance career in 2021 when she joined the Buckner Company. She previously worked as the controller at a manufacturer of screen guards for cellphones for 9 years. After graduating with an Accounting Degree from Utah State University, she went on to obtain an MBA from Capella University. Whitney loves to travel and has a goal to see all Seven Wonders of the World one day. She has a loving family with a husband and two boys who keep her more than busy with their sports and activities. If you go to a Jazz game, theater, or concert, there's a high likelihood you'll bump shoulders with Whitney.
