Brian Fox

A 30-year veteran of the Federal technology market with broad experience in field operations and sales, Brian Fox provides management oversight across the full spectrum of Fortinet Federal operations. His responsibilities include FFI business development, implementation of sales and lead management systems, and a diverse range of transformation programs to support the establishment and growth of Fortinet Federal. His expertise includes providing solutions development, product portfolio management, and marketing strategies while successfully managing field operations teams. Brian's work experience includes working with product and integrator companies including Micro Focus Government Solutions, HP Enterprise Security, and IBM, as well as selected smaller Federal IT firms, Fortify and Serena Software. A U.S. Army veteran, Brian lends his customer support experience to the collective Fortinet Federal effort to ensure trusted operations for U.S. Government IT environments.

Cindy Moran

Ms. Moran is currently the President and managing partner for Pikes Way LLC, a small IT consulting firm specializing in strategic planning and management in the telecommunications sector. Her executive experience and extensive knowledge of the Federal government, strategic planning and analysis in National and International Executive communications leadership, technical, operational, and policy development for Telecommunications, Information Assurance, Cyber Security technology, and other National Programs and systems. Ms. Moran currently serves on several Board of Directors, Government Advisory groups for both public and private companies as an outside Director. She has experience with the Defense Security Service as an outside Director for a FOCI mitigation SSA. Provides both technical and business experience to these executive leadership teams. She currently holds positions as the Chairman of the Board, and Chairman, Government Security Council for DCSA boards as well as a compensation committee member. She has similar roles in public companies. Ms. Moran served as the Director for Network Services, Defense Information Systems Agency. Her responsibilities included systems management of all DISA terrestrial and satellite communications networks supporting the Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN). Specifically, Ms. Moran was responsible for planning, resourcing, fielding, sustaining, and evolving combat support networks, transport, and special programs that provide Information Superiority to the Commander-in-Chief, Combatant Commanders, Senior Leadership, Services, Agencies, and the warfighter.

Donna Garcia

Donna Garcia is a financial management professional with substantial experience in corporate accounting, auditing, and process improvement. She currently serves as Controller for Fortinet Federal where she oversees the financial management of this independently managed, wholly owned subsidiary of Fortinet, Inc., where she previously was Accounting Manager. Prior to Fortinet Federal, Donna was Controller for CapRelo where she led corporate financial management activities, including accounting, business analytics, and operational process improvement. She has also held professional financial oversight positions with RSM US LLP, and KPMG US, where she was responsible for ensuring corporate compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and External Audit requirements. Ms. Garcia holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from De La Salle University.

Felipe Fernandez - CTO

Felipe Fernandez is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Fortinet Federal, Inc (FFI). With more than 20 years of networking and cybersecurity experience, Felipe leads a team of security architects and engineers to provide mission-critical cybersecurity solutions for Federal Civilian, Department of Defense, and Intelligence Community applications. In addition to his role as a team leader, Felipe also oversees the U.S. Federal product strategy and certification process for the Department of Defense Information Network Approved Products List (DoDIN APL) and the National Security Agency's Commercial Solutions for Classified (NSA CSfC) program. Prior to joining Fortinet, Felipe served for 12 years with U.S. Marine Corps as a Cyber Security Engineer.

James Loi

Jim Loi is Partner and Chief Operating Officer at The Asia Group and a member of the Executive Committee. Prior to joining The Asia Group in 2016, Jim spent 22 years in the Department of State as a career Foreign Service Officer and member of the Senior Foreign Service. Abroad he served in a range of economic, political, and security related policy and management positions at U.S. embassies in Singapore, Beijing, Pretoria, and Bucharest. In Washington, Jim was Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of East Asian & Pacific Affairs, Director for East Asian Affairs at the National Security Council (NSC), Director for China & Japan at the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR), and visiting fellow at the Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS) - Freeman Chair in China Studies. Jim is a former U.S. Navy enlisted sailor and surface warfare officer with over 15 years of active and reserve service, including active duty tours onboard a destroyer and frigate in the Pacific Fleet. He left Naval service with the rank of Commander and is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm. Jim received a Bachelor of Arts in international relations from Cornell University.

Janet Silverman

Janet Silverman is the Fortinet Federal Human Resources and Talent Acquisition Director who manages staff recruitment, onboarding, and retention. In this role, she also advises and partners with Fortinet Federal executive leadership on personnel-related matters including HR policy, compensation, and benefits administration. Janet has diverse employment experience, including roles as HR Business Partner and Recruiting Manager with OPAQ, HR Operations Analyst with CA Technologies, HR and Recruiting Coordinator with Xceedium, and Administrative Support Manager with Preferred Systems Solutions. As a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) she has served as Co-Vice President of Certification and she is a Voting Board Member of SHRM's Northern Virginia Chapter, helping colleagues prepare for professional HR certification.

Jim Harrison

Jim Harrison is a creative and energetic leader of the Fortinet Federal team dedicated to advancing the cybersecurity missions of U.S. Civilian agencies. Given his professional background and expertise, he also manages trusted telecommunications programs and service providers focused on the Federal sector. Jim has held positions of increasing responsibility with Fortinet for more than ten years and he brings commitment and a wealth of sales, management, and problem-solving experience to government customers and Fortinet Federal strategic partnerships. Prior to Fortinet, Jim gained an in-depth knowledge of successful Federal technology integration as Director of Civilian Federal Markets with AT&T, Global Sales Director with Lucent Technologies, and Mid-Atlantic Sales Director with Siemens A.G. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Master of Science in Technology Management from the University of Maryland and is an active participant in several Federal technology organizations.

John Little

As Federal Security Officer and Federal Compliance Officer, John is responsible for Fortinet Federal security operations. He has more than 15 years' IT experience and leads the secure support for U.S. Government and critical infrastructure organizations that employ Fortinet Federal solutions. John's leadership and expertise focus on cybersecurity, information security, facility security, FOCI mitigation, and compliance. Previously, John was Director of Fortinet Federal Business Development, and served as the company's Subject Matter Expert on Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) and Supply Chain Security. Prior to Fortinet, he directed Federal Business Development and Program Management with Animetrics and led sales and marketing initiatives for Atlas Devices and iRobot. John earned a Bachelor of Arts in Logistics and Transportation from the College of Business at Northeastern University. He studied at the Graduate School of Business at New Hampshire College, and attended an executive course on Cybersecurity, Technology, Application, and Policy hosted by MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory.

Lee Moser

Lee Moser is a seasoned sales and business development professional leading Fortinet Federal's Carrier and Service Provider team. She has a demonstrated track record of leading large-scale new business initiatives, from opportunity assessment to bid development through successful contract negotiation. As part of the Fortinet Federal leadership team, Ms. Moser brings her extensive background in delivering complex solutions and services to government and commercial enterprises. Prior to Fortinet, Ms. Moser held business and program management positions with industry-leading firms, including 3M Cogent, NEC, and VIDAR Systems. She earned a bachelor's degree from Auburn University and a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Information Technology and Marketing from Marymount University.

Lindsey Cayanan

Lindsey Cayanan has held financial management positions with Fortinet for the past nine years and, since 2018, she has been Vice President and Corporate Controller. She is responsible for oversight and reporting of the more than $3 billion in annual revenues for the publicly held corporation (NASDAQ: FTNT). Lindsey has specialized expertise in technical accounting, Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance, public accounting, and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting and filing requirements. Prior to joining Fortinet, Lindsey held positions as SEC Reporting Manager with Aruba Networks and SGI, and she served as an auditor with Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Lindsey is a Certified Public Accountant with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accountancy) from California State University, East Bay.

Mac Thornberry

After serving in Congress for 26 years, Mac Thornberry continues to work at the intersection of technology and national security. A former chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, he also was a member of the House Intelligence Committee for more than a decade. The Almanac of American Politics 2020 called Mac "one of Congress' brainiest and most thoughtful members on national and domestic security issues." Widely respected across the political spectrum as an innovator and a strategic thinker, Mac has led on strategic nuclear issues, homeland security, cyber and space issues, as well as enhancing innovation and improving acquisition to benefit the men and women who serve and the nation. In December 2021, Mac received the Peace Through Strength Award from the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute. He is also the recipient of Distinguished Service Medals from the Army, the Navy, and the Air Force, as well as awards and recognition from a number of other organizations. On a bipartisan basis, Congress named the 2021 National Defense Authorization Act for him. Prior to his election to Congress, Mac served in the State Department during the Reagan Administration, as staff on Capitol Hill, and practiced law. Raised on the family ranch in Donley County, Texas, Mac graduated from Texas Tech University and received a law degree from the University of Texas.

Mark Wiggins

Mark Wiggins directs the Fortinet Federal teams supporting the U.S. Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community and Federal Systems Integrators. He has more than 18 years of experience as a major account manager and business development director with a primary focus on evolving cybersecurity and network defense solutions for the DoD, Intelligence Community, and numerous Civilian agencies. Before joining Fortinet in 2018, he managed DoD business development with Juniper Networks addressing secure enterprise and tactical networks. Prior to that assignment, Mark supported maritime and secure satellite communications systems with Inmarsat Government and Segovia. Following graduation from the United States Naval Academy, Mark served in the U.S. Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer.

Mike Sims

Mike joined Fortinet in 2015 bringing with him 25+ years of experience in the IT industry. While based out of Atlanta he led the Southeast sales and engineering effort. In 2018, he moved to the Greater New York City Area where he is responsible for sales and strategy leading the Northeast region. In 2020, Mike relocated back to Atlanta when his role expanded to lead the Eastern US and Canada. His current role is heading up the US Enterprise sales team where his is responsible for the sales into the top customer segment in the U.S. market. Prior to joining Fortinet, Mike began his career as an IT System Engineer for a power company in Indiana. He transitioned as a System Engineer to Harris Corporation and spent the next 10 years with roles of increased responsibility that culminated as the Americas Vice President of Sales and Services. He then joined Juniper Networks where he built the commercial sales business in the Southeast. Mike holds Associates, Bachelors and Masters degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Louisville.

Renee Tarun

Renee Tarun is Deputy CISO at Fortinet where she is focused on enterprise security, compliance and governance, and product security. Her book, Fight Fire with Fire: Proactive Cybersecurity Strategies for Today's Leaders, was published in 2021. Renee joined Fortinet as the Vice President, of Information Security in 2017. Immediately prior, she served as Special Assistant to the Director, National Security Agency (NSA), for Cyber and Director of NSA's Cyber Task Force, where she advanced NSA's execution of its cybersecurity and cyber-related missions. As the Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer of the NSA Information Assurance Directorate, her focus areas included strategy, planning, integration, and relationship management, in cybersecurity and related disciplines across NSA and the Department of Defense (DoD). Renee served as Senior Cyber Strategist in a DoD-DHS organization that orchestrated joint efforts in operational planning, policy, and strategy, for cyber issues across the U.S. Government. She was Portfolio Lead for the Protect Data and Networks and Operational Resiliency Portfolios for the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Information and Identity Assurance. Renee serves as a board member for the George Mason University Volgenau School of Engineering, creating synergy between the school and the professional community by addressing workforce development demands, industry expectations, and employment trends.

Shelia Reagan

For the past three years, she has developed strategic partnerships with a range of partners, including Federal Systems Integrators, VARs, Managed Service Providers, and Distributors and positioned Fortinet Federal as a trusted cybersecurity partner. Sheila has a proven record for building successful partnerships with firms actively supporting U.S. Federal customers and their missions, with a primary focus on the channel and distribution community. Prior to FFI, she applied her experience to develop diverse Federal business opportunities with several recognized cybersecurity and networking companies.

Shelly Scarpelli

Prior to Fortinet Federal, Shelly was a Senior Marketing Manager for more than 12 years with Juniper Networks where she managed public sector marketing programs focused on the U.S. Defense, Intelligence, and Civilian sectors. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bowling Green State University and is an active participant and mentor in the Federal Marketing community.

Steve Hoffman - President
