Aline Maksimov is a graduate engineer (FH) in environmental engineering and biotechnology. After studying in Mittweida, she supported the work and research of the FriedrichLoeffler-Institut at the Institute for Epidemiology in Wusterhausen/Dosse for 4 years. Under the direction of Dr Gereon Schares, she worked there in the field of parasitology. After the site was closed, she moved to the Institute for Virus Diagnostics in 2014 and was part of Prof. Dr. Timm Harder's National Reference Laboratory for Avian Influenza until 2022. Since January 2023, she has strengthened the team of Prof. Dr. Fabian Leendertz's research group "Ecology and Emergence of Zoonoses".
Angelika Kliesch completed her biology studies with a focus on the genetics of microorganisms at the University of Greifswald in April 2012. She completed her diploma thesis there in the research group of Prof. Hammerschmidt. She helped to establish methods for quantitative proteome analysis of bacterial meningitis pathogens. After further years in science, among others at the Friedrich-Loeffler-Institute and at regional diagnostic medical laboratories, she joined the HIOH as a technical assistant in November 2022.
Coch Tanguy Floyde Tanga, studied population and ecosystem biology at the University of Science and Technic of Masuku (USTM/ Gabon) between 2011 and 2018. From October 2018 to December 2019, he was a research assistant at W.C.S-Gabon in the project Ecological Monitoring of Large Mammals (Forest Elephant bai de Langoué) in Ivindo Park. In November 2019, he started his PhD project in Great Apes Health in Tropical Africa, Emerging Diseases, Conservation, and Prospects for Human Health (GATECEP-Project) in the Great Apes Conservation Project in Loango (Gabon) on the theme of Capturing the Determinants of Antimicrobial Resistance in Wild Great Apes.

Stephanie Markert is a trained microbiologist with a special interest in molecular mechanisms of microbe-host interactions in marine symbioses. She was a research associate and principal investigator at the Institute of Pharmacy, University of Greifswald, before joining HIOH as a scientific coordinator in May 2022.
Her main areas of expertise and responsibilities at HIOH are project coordination and management, proposal and paper writing, and multifaceted communication with international cooperation partners. Her scientific, organizational and administrative support ensures efficient One Health research and collaborations at HIOH.

Pauline Glawe studied Political Science, History and Business Administration at the University of Greifswald and at the University of Uppsala (Gotland Campus). Since 2010 she has worked as a Scientific Manager. As an Administrative Coordinator, she has been supporting the head of administration in the development of the HIOH Institute since 2021.
