Brett has a bachelor's degree and master's degree in accounting from Arizona State University. He has passed each of the CPA exams, and looks forward to becoming a licensed CPA in 2023.

Gary Leneway is a leading tax professional and his esteemed expertise in the industry has become an integral asset in his prior firms and for his his clients. Gary gained his experience working in tax focused positions with a national public accounting firm, a multi-national plastics manufacturer, a small high-net worth boutique CPA firm, and a real estate focused tax strategy firm. He has a wealth of knowledge in a variety of tax services including audit defense, tax research, tax accounting, and tax planning at the corporate, pass-through and individual levels for both federal, state and local taxes. Gary's knowledge and experiences allow him to educate and assist clients and his colleagues with sound business choices and practices.
In giving back to the profession and providing tax insight, Gary has been a member of the Integra International State and Local Tax (SALT) Committee and he sat on the State and Local Task Force for the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of the Michigan Association of CPAs, Arizona Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Gary on the other hand has had the opportunity to learn directly for a national tax director for a national CPA firm and from a CPA who specialized in providing consulting to his entrepreneur clients. In the process, he has worked on a wide spectrum of clients ranging from Fortune 300 CEOs and Celebrities in the entertainment industry to small mom & pop businesses.
Karon Bohlender is a valued business partner for small business owners. She has extensive experience in both accounting and tax preparation work. She is a QuickBooks Advisor and has previously taught QuickBooks training classes. She enjoys the small firm atmosphere that lends itself to promoting a team environment between staff as well as between staff and clients.
Karon stays active in the accounting profession with memberships in American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Arizona Society of Public Accountant, and Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Karon Bohlender earned a Bachelor of Art degree from St. Andrew's Presbyterian College where she majored in Business and Economics with a minor in Accounting. She continued her education and earned her Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
When not working with small business owners on consulting to tax preparation, she loves to spend time with family and friends, playing golf, and watching sports.
Mekayla is an Arizona native. She graduated from Mesa High School in 2016. Mekayla began working for L & B's Predecessor firm Terry Lutz, PC in April 2018. Mekayla is the first person you will see or talk to when visiting or calling our firm.
Nancy has been in the accounting profession for 28 years. She has a bachelors degree of Science in Accounting, and has a wide range of experience working with individuals and businesses, assisting them with their financial, accounting, and tax needs. She began her career at a small public accounting firm in MI, until she moved to AZ to work for L & B's Predecessor Firm Terry Lutz, PC. She has been with both firms for over 20 years. Nancy's main areas of interest and expertise are tax return and financial statement preparation for business clients, large and small.

Samantha studied Criminal Justice at U.O.P., where she earned her Bachelor's Degree. Samantha began working for L & B CPA's Predecessor firm Terry Lutz PC in August 2013, where she started her career in the front office and worked her way up to Staff Accountant.
Terry has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Arizona State University.. Terry began his career with a small firm in 1987 until 1992 when he ventured off on his own to begin his own firm Terry Lutz CPA, PC which is the predecessor firm to L & B CPAs, PLLC's.
