Dr. Emily Elston

Dr. Emily Elston, born and raised in Trenton, Michigan, is a 2001 graduate of Central Michigan University and a 2005 graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL. Upon graduation, Dr. Elston moved back to Michigan to continue her Optometric career.

Dr. Jared Most

Dr. Jared Most received his Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA. Upon graduation in 2009, Dr. Most completed his residency in Ocular Disease at the John D. Dingell Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Detroit, MI. Following his residency, Dr. Most remained on staff at the John D. Dingell VAMC, where he has been a practicing attending since 2010. He holds a clinical faculty position at the Michigan College of Optometry, as well as the New England College of Optometry. In addition to direct patient care, Dr. Most oversees the clinical education of Optometry residents and interns. Dr. Most has also spent time working in the private sector, performing primary care and contact lens examinations for patients of all ages. He has a great deal of interest in keeping up with the newest technologies and treatments in the eyecare field. In his free time, Dr. Most enjoys Michigan State and Detroit sports, trips to Northern Michigan, outdoor projects at home, and spending time with his wife, Kate, and their 2 young daughters.

Dr. Krystyn Kudla

Dr. Krystyn Kudla received her Bachelor of Vision Science from Ferris State University and received her Doctor of Optometry from the Michigan College of Optometry where she graduated with Distinction. Dr. Kudla completed her residency in Ocular Disease/Primary Care at the John D. Dingell Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Detroit, MI. Following her residency, Dr. Kudla worked in private practice where she co-managed LASIK and other surgical patients, managed various ocular diseases, as well as performed primary care and contact lens examinations. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Michigan Optometric Association. Dr. Kudla enjoys spending her free time dancing in a traditional Polish folk dance ensemble, taking trips to her family's cabin in Northern Michigan, and spending time with her husband and daughter.

Dr. Michael Bloch

Dr. Michael Bloch is a graduate from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern College of Optometry in Florida. Dr. Bloch is a licensed and certified optometrist in diagnostic and pharmaceutical agents. He has training and experience to diagnose, manage, and treat a wide variety of diseases and disorders. With a passion for providing everyone the highest quality of care, he is committed to giving his patients the information and direction needed towards obtaining optimal eye health. Dr. Bloch is a devoted family man. He enjoys spending his free time going to his children's activities and is an avid baseball player.

Dr. Phillip Elston

Dr. Phillip Elston is a graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL. He then completed his residency in Ocular Disease/Primary care at the Illinois Eye Institute, also in Chicago. Upon completion of his residency in 2006, Dr. Elston moved to Michigan to continue his Optometric career. Dr. Elston has been practicing since 2005 and has been serving our veterans at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center since 2007. In this position, he also serves as the Optometry Residency Director. Dr. Elston also holds a clinical associate professor/faculty position at eight optometry schools across the country. He is active in the teaching and clinical instruction of interns and residents at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center. In October 2013, Dr. Elston earned the distinction of Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Elston enjoys spending his free time playing golf and spending time outdoors with his wife and three children. Dr. Elston looks forward to being your primary eye care provider in the Birmingham, MI area for many years to come.

Sasha Kashat

Sasha Kashat is a Michigan native and graduated from Wayne State University with a bachelor's in science. She then received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University. She is licensed by the State of Michigan and is certified in diagnostic and pharmaceutical agents. Dr. Kashat enjoys treating people of all ages and has served on an eye mission trip to Ukraine, where her team provided eye exams and glasses to people in small villages. She has training and experience in diagnosing and managing a wide variety of eye diseases and disorders. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband and cooking. Dr. Kashat sees patients at the Sylvan Lake, Commerce, and Walled Lake locations
