Peterson Philanthropies is a network of nonprofit, nonpartisan organizations engaging in a range of initiatives to strengthen the current economic and democratic foundations of the United States, and build a brighter future for the next generation... Peterson Philanthropies has been established and funded based on the vision of Peter G. Peterson (1926-2018). A first generation American, Pete was born in Kearney, Nebraska where he learned important lessons about the value of hard work, responsibility and commitment to community. These lessons stayed with Pete throughout his life. His distinguished and far-reaching career included significant contributions and accomplishments across public service, business and philanthropy.
