Jock Murray

Jock Murray is the joint director and founder of Retail Property Partners which specialises in leasing, selling and managing retail property. Jock's career in the commercial property industry commenced in 2004. He went on to hold positions with two International Property Agencies from 2006 to 2013 where he specialised in selling investment-grade assets in QLD on behalf of Institutional Owners, Developers and Private Investors. Jock's career in Retail Leasing commenced with Westfield (now Scentre Group) in 2013, where he worked across a portfolio of operational shopping centres in QLD. From 2015-2016 Jock was the Lead Project Leasing Executive for the Westfield North Lakes $250m redevelopment which consisted of Stage 3A - Fresh Food & ELP and Stage 3B - IKEA Link Mall extension. In 2017 Jock was a Project Leasing Executive on the game-changing $355m redevelopment of Westfield Chermside. From 2019-2021 Jock took on the position of General Manager - Leasing at Stockwell, a QLD-based investor, developer and manager of retail and commercial property. At Stockwell, Jock was responsible for building and managing the Leasing, Lease Administration & Tenancy Delivery teams that worked across a portfolio of 6 operational shopping centres. During his time at Stockwell, Jock managed highly successful project leasing campaigns including Flagstone Central, consisting of a full-line Woolworths and 21 specialty retailers and Stage 1 of the Northern Beaches Showroom Precinct. Jock also oversaw the retail and commercial strategy and placemaking for 9 retail and mixed-use projects, which included 1770-Agnes Water Central, Boggo Road Village and the proposed expansion of Noosa Civic Shopping Centre. Jock is passionate about retail and skilled in navigating complex negotiations. Peter Capps

Peter Capps is the joint director and founder of Retail Property Partners which specialises in leasing, selling and managing retail property. Peter's career in the commercial property industry began in 2012 and over the last decade he has worked across all retail classes, handling redevelopment projects, project leasing new centres, PAD site leasing, large format retail and investment sales. From 2012 to 2019 Peter held positions with two international property agencies where he specialised in project leasing, investment sales, commercial land sales and leasing campaigns for neighbourhood shopping centres on behalf of funds, not-for-profit groups, institutional owners, developers and private owners. In 2017 Peter was responsible for strategic leasing to prepare Caloundra Village Shopping Centre for sale, and successfully sold the asset for $18mil. The following year, on behalf of Pellicano, Peter managed the project leasing and strategy for The Point, which houses an IGA, 15 specialty shops and a drive thru, as well as project leasing for the redevelopment of ‘Plaza Markets', a showroom and mixed use retail site. From 2019-2020, Peter was the National Leasing Manager for Fitstop, an international fitness franchise, where he was tasked with growing the brand nationally. He successfully took them from 13 - 38 sites over that time. In 2020 Peter commenced with Stockwell where he was responsible for multiple projects including pre-leasing for Northern Beaches Mackay Showroom + QSR, and the project leasing of Agnes Water 1770 Central, which comprises a 2,000sqm IGA and specialty retailers. He also managed the remixing of Bargara Central which consisted of a dual anchored Woolworths and Aldi. During his time with Stockwell, Peter also facilitated the project leasing of Noosa Showroom Extension, and Noosa Medihub which is a 2 level 2,200sqm dedicated medical premises. He was also charged with the static leasing and remix strategy of Noosa Civic, including the preparation of future precincts for the proposed expansion. Most recently, Peter has managed project leasing and negotiation of multiple childcare deals across the Stockwell portfolio. With a strong client-driven focus to deliver strategic leasing projects on time and on budget, Peter has strong negotiation skills coupled with a large database that make him a great partner for any client's retail projects. Peter prides himself on his strong ethics and excellent client communication and continues to thrive on the retail market and the evolution of precincts and retail assets.
