BURKE

The Burke Estate Preservation Society represents a consortium of Hastings residents who understand the desire for a skatepark but also believe that The Burke Estate has reached its saturation point for recreational use -- any remaining swaths of forest on this land should be revived and replanted, not razed and flattened for the pouring of cement. We feel strongly that green space should not be sacrificed for a skatepark for the sake of a small group of residents who will use the facility.
