Allison Parker

Allison holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Appalachian State University and a Master of Arts degree in Communication Disorders/Speech-Language Pathology from Appalachian State University. Allison began her career in 2008 and has mainly worked in the public school, private school, and outpatient pediatric clinic settings. She has experience with children of all ages and with various disabilities. Her special interest areas are articulation, phonological disorders, early language development, language disorders, language processing, social language skills, and fluency. Allison enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters in her free time. She loves to be outdoors, hiking, traveling, and trying new restaurants with friends and family.

Amy Bumgarner

Amy has a bachelor's degree in psychology from North Carolina State University and a Master of Science degree in occupational therapy from East Carolina University. She spent several years in a pediatric clinic specializing in sensory integration before transitioning to early intervention in the home environment. Amy is SIPT certified and has also had training in myofascial release, NDT, therapeutic listening, and the development of a handwriting program. Amy especially loves working with children who have autism. She has been working with pediatrics since 2007. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, four children, and dogs. You can find them at the ball field, lake, or camping.

Ann McClanahan

Ann holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Culver-Stockton College, and an M.A. in Communication Disorders and Sciences from Truman State University in Missouri. She is a licensed SLP in North Carolina and holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech- Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Ann has previously worked in both Missouri and North Carolina in pediatric clinics and private schools, as well as seeing clients in the home. She enjoys working with clients in the areas of speech sound disorders and literacy. In her spare time, Ann loves volunteering

Catie Cheek

Catie received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from The Ohio State University. With over six years of pediatric clinical experience, she found her niche in early intervention practice, where she enjoys a team approach to nurturing gross motor skill development for children. Catie's areas of interest include torticollis, pediatric taping, and aquatic therapy. She enjoys being with her husband, two children, and three dogs, running, reading, and drinking coffee in her free time.

Dana Clemons

Dana received her COTA degree from CPCC in 2018 and has been part of the Shine family since 2019. Dana thoroughly enjoys using her passion for craftsmanship and her creativity to engage her clients and help them grow. She also enjoys using that creativity in order to brainstorm and create personalized therapeutic spaces within her clients' homes. She believes that working as a team with her families is a vital part of the therapy process. Dana specializes in sensory integration, emotional and behavioral regulation and ASD. In her personal time, she enjoys spending time with her family and her fur babies.

Dana Elliot

Dana received her Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in 2006. She trained in multiple areas, including sensory integration (SIPT certified), Interactive Metronome, Therapeutic Listening, feeding therapy, neuromuscular development, trauma, and early intervention. She is also very active with Foster Village and has the privilege of leading their Project SOOTHe program. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three children in her free time.

Dana Singleton

Dana attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2013, earning her degree in Human Development and Family Studies. She worked in the healthcare field before returning to school and obtaining her Masters of Occupational Therapy from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2019. She joined the Shine Therapy team in 2020. Dana loves working with children of all ages and abilities. Her special interests include sensory integration and pediatric feeding. Dana enjoys traveling, trying new foods, and spending time with her family.

Jen DiCicco

Jen DiCicco holds a doctorate in Physical Therapy from Marymount University and has been practicing for 15 years. Jen has worked in various settings, including hospitals, outpatient rehab, orthopedics, and pediatrics. Jen specializes in the treatment of infants, toddlers, and young children. She has vast knowledge and experience in treating premature infants, medically fragile infants, and infants and toddlers with various developmental delays. Jen is also a co-founder of Mind Body Baby, a local Charlotte nonprofit that provides free education and resources during pregnancy and postpartum. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Unlocked and volunteers her time to support Bee Mighty, a nonprofit that raises funds for premature infants that spend time in the NICU. Jen grew up in Northern Virginia and moved to Charlotte in 2010, where she lives with her husband Dave and her two daughters, Allie and Taylor.

Jenelle Mrugalski

Jenelle acquired her Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree at Wingate University in North Carolina. Jenelle's prior experiences involve providing treatment to children in various clinical settings, including home health and outpatient rehabilitation clinics. Jenelle's favorite part of being an occupational therapist is providing her clients with the tools to overcome challenges and equipping caregivers with ongoing education to support their children's success. Jenelle's primary interests in the field are the integration of retained reflexes, neurology, vision, and sensory integration. Outside of work, Jenelle enjoys exploring the great outdoors, tending to her many plants, and spending time with her family and pets.

Jessica Richards

Jessi graduated from the COTA program at RCCC in 2021. She has her certification in early intervention but has experience working with children of all ages. She has received hands-on training in sensory integration, ADHD and ASD treatment techniques, sensory-based feeding, and neuro-developmental training. She is passionate about working within a natural environment in order to create techniques and therapy approaches and fit nicely with the family routines and priorities. Jessi frequently says she is a kid at heart and loves to spend her free time exploring and creating with her daughter.

Judy Speicher

Judy has a master's degree in Speech, Language Pathology and a bachelor's degree in Speech, Language, and Audio Pathology from the University of Maine. She holds her Clinical Competence Certification (CCC) from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). Judy is PROMPT trained. She is a licensed therapist in North Carolina. Her focus areas are working with children diagnosed with Down Syndrome and apraxia. She is originally from New England, where she worked in the public school system, private practices in the Boston area, and early intervention programs. Judy spent time in Austin and Katy, Texas, working in private practice and the school system. She started Leap Pediatric Therapy in 2017 and joined her practice with Shine Therapy in 2022. Judy enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and three sons.

Julie Kremer

Julie Rabon Kremer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders from East Carolina University and a Master of Arts degree in Communication Disorders/Speech-Language Pathology from Appalachian State University. Julie has 14 years of experience treating pediatric clients with speech-language related disorders in private clinic settings and has been instrumental in also providing services at several private schools and daycare locations in Charlotte. She enjoys working with children of all ages and with various disabilities. Her special interests are articulation, apraxia, early language development, language disorders, phonemic awareness, literacy, auditory processing, and fluency. Julie is certified in PROMPT technique, which is often used with kids with motor speech difficulties. When she isn't working, Julie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, going to the movies, listening to live music, and cooking.

Julie Sines

Julie is a graduate of the Ohio State University, receiving both her Bachelor's and her advanced Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy. While in Ohio, Julie worked in a hospital setting for ten years before switching to the school setting. She moved to Fort Mill, SC, continuing her career in the school setting before switching to early intervention private practice. Julie is licensed to practice in North and South Carolina and brings many years of experience to her clients from various therapy settings and patient populations. She has extensive experience working with children with sensory processing disorders, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, and other developmental disabilities. She loves gardening, hiking, and taking weekend trips to the beach with her family in her free time.
