Adam Hermes

Adam is a Paralegal in the Residential Property Department, aiding clients in their conveyancing matters. Since joining SE-Solicitors in July 2022, and moving to the Bicester office in November 2022, he has broadened his knowledge in residential property matters ranging from remortgages through to new builds. Adam finished his undergraduate in Professional Policing in 2020 before moving into law. He completed part of his master's in law in May 2022 and will be completing the final part by taking the first Solicitors Qualifying Exams in July 2023. Outside of work Adam enjoys city breaks, going to the gym and social events.

Aimee Bowles

Aimee is a Probate Executive working in our Private Client team, advising clients on the probate process. Probate can be a complex area. Aimee helps clients to navigate this difficult area when a loved one has passed away in a sensitive and caring manner. Aimee aims to offer her clients a friendly, professional, and efficient service during what can be a difficult time. Aimee joined SE-Solicitors in April 2021. While working at SE Solicitors she has completed her Graduate Foundation in Law qualification with The College of Legal Practice. Outside of work Aimee enjoys time with her family, dog walks and running.

Alison Gayton

Alison is an experienced Paralegal in the Banbury Residential team, supporting clients in their purchase and sale of properties. She assists Solicitor David Inch throughout transactions and helps ensure that all his matters are dealt with proactively. Alison has been employed by Shoosmiths and SE-Solicitors for 26 years in the Conveyancing Department. Outside of work Alison enjoys travelling, swimming and spending time with her family.

Allanagh Davies

Allanagh is a solicitor in the Commercial Property team in Banbury. She acts for a range of clients including registered charities, private companies (national and cross-border) and individuals. Allanagh advises on a range of commercial property matters including new leases and property acquisitions and disposals. She is also a founder and member of the Banbury Young Professionals networking group, an active member of SE-Solicitors Sustainability Action Group as well as co-chair of the firm's Social Committee. Allanagh qualified as a solicitor in 2022. She started her career at SE-Solicitors as a Paralegal in 2018 within the Commercial Property team, shortly after completing her LL.B in Law with Business at the University of Brighton. She then commenced her training contract with the firm in 2020, undertaking seats in Private Capital, Employment, Corporate & Commercial and then returning to Commercial Property. Alongside her training contract, Allanagh studied the Legal Practice Course with the University of Law. Outside of work, Allanagh enjoys attending various dance classes, baking and socialising with her friends and family.

Andrew Querelle

Andrew joined SE-Solicitors in January 2017 from Blake Morgan in Oxford, having previously worked at Shoosmiths. Outside of work, Andrew likes to spend time with his family and escapes on his mountain bike whenever he can. He has tried his hand at boxing and, despite admitting to not being particularly good at it, is considering stepping into the ring one more time.

Andrew Symington

Andrew is an Associate Solicitor in the Commercial Property team. He specialises in all aspects of non-contentious commercial property law and acts for a diverse range of clients both in Oxfordshire and nationally. He provides pragmatic advice and an efficient service to his clients. Andrew first came to Oxfordshire as an undergraduate at St John's College, Oxford University. He then spent several years in London working for some of the biggest names in the commercial property industry. During this time he also gained a Master's Degree in Real Estate Finance from Cambridge University and completed an Investment Management Certificate (so he would be FCA regulated to manage investments). Andrew's legal career began as a paralegal in the real estate team at Travers Smith. He completed his training contract in the London office of Dundas & Wilson and on qualification returned to Oxfordshire to join the BrookStreet Des Roches team dealing with National Grid's property portfolio. Outside of work, Andrew enjoys a bit of walking and eating.

Andrew is a Director and dedicated Commercial Property lawyer with over 30 years' experience delivering high quality real estate legal advice. Andrew specialises in advising on the assembly and development of land for development, strategic land promotion and options and investment properties. Andrew has been the Managing Director at SE-Solicitors since 2018, growing the business to be a leading law firm in the Heart of England. For over 20 years, he has also led the highly respected Commercial Property team across the Banbury and Bicester offices. Andrew qualified as a Solicitor in 1989 at the Westminster law firm Radcliffes & Co, where he became a partner before moving out of London in 1999. After a brief stint at regional law firm, Shoosmiths, he joined Spratt Endicott on its inception in 2002. Outside of work, Andrew enjoys a busy outdoor life including all manner of sport and maintains his own grass tennis court. He has been trying to improve his golf handicap for 30 years.

Anis is an experienced Solicitor specialising in Banking and Finance Litigation. He acts for several national secondary lenders including Asset finance companies and factoring companies in the tracing and recovery of assets. Anis has particular expertise in asset finance fraud and urgent delivery up applications and claims against guarantors. With over 24 years' experience Anis has a wide range of financial litigation experience including acting for lenders in complex mortgage frauds and claims against professionals. He regularly appears in the Business and Property Courts for clients without counsel adding value to their business and cost recoveries. As part of the banking and finance team Anis provides advice to specialist lenders including advice on reviewing security documentation. In addition he supports the Dispute team on defended commercial litigation matters. Anis is acting head of the Bicester office.

Carol Shaw

Carol is a Director in the Employment and Dispute Resolution team advising on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law. She also litigates in the Civil Courts in connection with claims arising out of breach of confidentiality and restrictive covenants including injunctive work. She has experience of acting as supervising solicitor and submitting independent reports to the Court on Seize and Search Orders. Carol has over 30 years' experience in both Dispute Resolution and Employment Law. It is this experience that is engaged when advising clients to balance risk and reward to achieve the best outcome in any particular situation. Carol started her career in London and worked in firms specialising in the entertainment industry and since moving to the heart of England in 1993, her practice area has focused on the manufacturing and services sectors.

Caroline has progressed to Junior Conveyancer and is currently undertaking her qualification as a CLC Lawyer. In her spare time Caroline spends time with her boys, goes on outdoor bootcamps, and enjoys jujitsu and walking her dog.

Catherine O'Riordan

Catherine is a Senior Associate in the Corporate and Commercial team. She acts for a wide range of clients, including owner-managed businesses, national companies, and the UK subsidiaries of European companies. Catherine has particular expertise in warehousing and logistics agreements, online selling and company secretarial work. She also works closely with the firm's residential and commercial property lawyers, dealing with some of the country's best-known developers in the formation and administration of residents' management companies. Catherine is a member of SE-Solicitors Sustainability Action Group and the company secretary for Citizens Advice North Oxfordshire and South Northamptonshire. Catherine trained and qualified with Shoosmiths and has worked at SE-Solicitors since the firm was founded in 2002. Outside of work, Catherine is an accomplished pianist and sings with Consensio, a Brackley-based chamber choir. She also enjoys cryptic crosswords, theatre and foreign travel.

Charlotte Brande

Over the years, Charlotte has built brilliant relationships with her clients. She is friendly and approachable, professional, and pragmatic in her advice. Chelsea Corbett

Christine Ward

Christine is an independent tax consultant to the Company Commercial department. She has worked with the team for many years, further strengthening the knowledge and expertise of the team. Christine has nearly 30 years' experience in UK corporate tax law, advising in a wide range of corporate and commercial contexts. She provides advice on the UK corporate tax issues arising in the context of mergers, acquisitions and reorganisations, and management buy-out/buy-ins. Christine also advises on tax issues for individual vendors of owner-managed businesses and structuring for management tax issues arising in the buy-out context, employee share incentives (approved and non-approved employee share incentive schemes (including EMI schemes) are a related area which Christine is able to assist with. Christine has significant experience of drafting tax-related documentation and negotiating on behalf of clients.

Claire Rose

Claire is a Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx) with over 30 years in the legal profession. She supports clients in a varied range of residential property transactions, predominantly in new build purchases, shared ownership sales and purchases, staircasing, remortgages, transfers of equity, lease extensions, unregistered properties, freehold and leasehold sales, and purchases. Claire has also gained expertise in purchases of land for self-builders. Having joined SE-Solicitors in 2015 at the Banbury office, Claire moved to Bicester in 2021 to lead the Residential Property Team. She has built a highly respected residential property team and professional network in the local area. Claire's legal career started in 1993, working for a Solicitors in Daventry and then in Banbury as a secretary, dealing with various areas of law, including matrimonial, wills and probate, conveyancing and criminal. This sparked a desire to progress her career further, qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2005 whilst working full time. She then gained valuable experience as a Conveyancer for law firms in Daventry and Stratford upon Avon before joining SE-Solicitors. Outside of work, Claire enjoys walking, baking and spending time with her family. She is also a member of her local Scout group and is the Chairperson of the Executive Committee for that group.

Clare Gardner

Clare is a Conveyancer in the Brackley Residential Property team. Clare provides her clients located in Brackley and the surrounding villages with a friendly, professional, and efficient service, understanding their needs and timescales. Clare started her career at SE-Solicitors as an Inception Clerk in 2006 within the Residential Property Team after being an Estate Agent for a number of years. She then progressed to a Residential Property Assistant and then as a Conveyancer. Over the years she has also spent time building up the Property Recoveries team within our Dispute Resolution Department. Clare is training to be a Licenced Conveyancer and has completed Level 4, now working towards level 6. When not in the office, Clare can be found in the gym as a spinning instructor, with her family or walking her dog.

David Endicott

Together with John Spratt, David co-founded the practice in 2002. He has spent his working life as a private client practitioner. After 26 years in London, having obtained his first grant of probate in 1967, David relocated to Banbury in 2000 bringing with him his significant London client base. He specialises in large complex estates and trusts. A member of STEP, David has produced three editions of Brighouse Will Precedents. David was designated as a Leading Lawyer by the Legal 500 based upon client testimonials. Having been a Leading Lawyer for eight consecutive years he was admitted to the Hall of Fame. Having been Managing Partner and Managing Director for some 16 years, David retired from full time practice in March 2021 to become a Consultant. David is a trustee of The Sunshine Centre in Banbury. Debbie provides a professional, efficient, and friendly service understanding clients' needs at what can be a very stressful time for them. For many years Debbie worked closely with clients located in Birmingham and the surrounding area and built up a good client base with many personal recommendations from satisfied clients. She now concentrates on advising clients in the more local area. Debbie started her career with Fairfax, Barfield and Blincowe in Banbury before moving to the Banbury Office of Shoosmiths & Harrison. She then took a break from residential property, working with a senior partner in Hewitson Becke and Shaw where she was dealing with Wills, Trust, Probate and general Private Client work. Debbie returned to Shoosmiths in 1998, primarily dealing with local conveyancing, before joining SE-Solicitors Residential Property team. Deborah is a highly successful family lawyer. She has 27 years' experience in divorce, finances and child law and a special interest in working with victims of domestic abuse. Deborah knows that she improves outcomes for clients by reducing conflict. She has delivered training on domestic abuse to other solicitors. She conducts much of her own advocacy and knows that client's welcome continuity of advice. Deborah loves Plain English and hates jargon and believes that working as part of a team leads to the best results for clients. She completed her training in Swansea and qualified as a solicitor in 1996, before moving to Oxfordshire in 1999. She has been recognised as a specialist in Family Law since 2001 when she was admitted to the Family Law Panel. Emma Rolfe

Emma is an associate solicitor in the Private Client team in the Bicester office. Emma started her career in 2010 as a paralegal at Hugh James Solicitors, Cardiff, specialising in NHS Funded Continuing Healthcare matters. She qualified as a solicitor in 2015 and, prior to joining SE-Solicitors, worked in the niche field of mental health and mental capacity law. As part of that role she represented clients detained under the Mental Health Act in hospital and assisted incapacitated clients with cases before the Court of Protection in both finance and health and welfare matters. She was accredited by the Law Society for her work in mental health law.

Fajar Usman

Graham Roberts

Graham is an associate solicitor within our Commercial Property team. Graham specialises in commercial landlord and tenant work, lease renewals and commercial property management such as assignments of existing leases, licences to alter, underletting's or surrenders. He works for a number of the firm's larger portfolio clients, both working from a landlord and a tenant's perspective, giving him a broad range and experience on all sides of a commercial letting transaction. Graham works for both local, regional and national clients. Graham prides himself on providing a high level service to clients and providing a client, whether large or small, with clear and concise advice in a timely and personal manner. He joined the firm in 2002 after working in London at a well known City firm. Outside of office, Graham spends much of his time on the side of a hockey pitch or at the bottom of his garden. He also loves nothing better than putting on some walking boots and heading off up a hill or through a valley. Thanks to an earlier career working for a wine company, Graham will always enjoy mulling over a good glass of red wine if and when the opportunity arises.
