In 2014, Mrs. Sower retired as Principal and the Board of Directors voted to close the school. At the behest of parents and teachers, the school remained open with a new board and interim principal to continue the legacy. The name, Corpus Christi Classical Academy, was adopted in 2015 to reflect the pedagogical emphasis on the Catholic classical curriculum. A Montessori preschool was also introduced at that time.
In January 2016, Corpus Christi Classical Academy was recognized by the Archdiocese of Louisville as an independent Catholic school. This designation, created and conferred by Archbishop Kurtz, made official our status as the only Catholic school serving Shelby, Spencer and Henry Counties, and has fostered recognition and generous cooperation with the pastors of nearby parish churches. Interest of families in the area has increased and solid community support is being developed. With this strong foundation and all of these many blessings, Corpus Christi Classical Academy is looking at great potential for growth in the next few years.
