Eugene E. Lester III

Gene is an experienced litigator who focuses on dispute resolution for businesses and individuals. He has handled jury trials in state and federal courts, and appeals in the North Carolina Court of Appeals and Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Gene's practice includes civil and criminal litigation. Before opening Lester Law in 2022, Gene served as partner at Sharpless McClearn Lester Duffy, PA where he practiced law for more than twenty-years. Early in his career, Gene clerked for the Honorable P. Trevor Sharp, U.S. Magistrate Judge of the Middle District of North Carolina. He is a graduate of Wake Forest University School of Law where he received his law degree in 1996. He completed his undergraduate studies at Binghamton University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in management and a concentration in East Asian studies. Gene is an active citizen of Greensboro, North Carolina where he serves on the Guilford County Board of Elections, and is President-elect of the Greensboro Kiwanis Club.
