MIE is an institute established by The Modern School Society for primary and secondary research on local and global educational practices, where issues in education can be studied and used to prepare schools and educators for the changing future pedagogy, curriculum and learner expectations... There is huge variance in the quality of education across institutions, regions and regimes. Although private education is mostly preferred in the urban regions, public education remains the more affordable option for the great majority of the Indian masses. To date no Pan India research has been conducted on successful Government Schools... Due to this reason, we have developed the idea of creating a facility for primary and secondary research on local and global educational practices where urgent and contemporary issues in education can be studied and to use to empower and inform teachers, policymakers, thought leaders and parents. This leads to the establishment of "MIE"
