Andrew Reynolds

Job Titles:
  • Architectural Technologist
Andrew has worked in commercial architecture full time since 1999, covering retail, leisure, industrial, hotels, inner town/city regeneration, education, racecourses including the famous York Racecourse, large scale student and residential projects, container conversions and bids.

Chris Bravington

Job Titles:
  • Director
Chris started in practice in 1997 after leaving school, progressing through technical college and university, and qualified as an Architect in 2010. He has worked through a wide range of projects across sectors in his career, with the redevelopment at Atherstone being the largest and most complex. The constant evolving requirements and programme was challenging and rewarding for him to see the project completed and in use, and already being adapted to suit future needs. Chris believes in developing creative responses to the client's needs in an efficient manner, evolving environments to allow STOAS clients to thrive.

Daniel Neville

Job Titles:
  • Director
Having started as an Architectural Assistant 20 years ago, Daniel's career has grown along with his responsibilities within the practice, culminating in becoming a Director in 2016. In recent years Daniel has successfully delivered on a number of large-scale warehouse/logistic facilities for our retail client. Daniel aims to provide the client with a thorough understanding of all the options he/she has to enable them to be confident that their project is being delivered in the most optimal manner. He provides professional guidance and doesn't dictate a predefined solution to a development which may not completely satisfy the client's brief.

David Moore

Job Titles:
  • Director
Joining STOAS in November 2013, David was responsible for leading teams to land multiple retail stores. He has since been promoted to Director in recognition of his commitment to the practice and our clients. David started in practice in 1999 after securing a position with a company who sponsored him through college to gain an ONC and HNC in Building Studies. Working his way up through the ranks to Senior Architectural Technologist, he moved to Scotland to help set up a new office and ran multiple large retail supermarket schemes across the UK, including Scotland and Northern Ireland. Becoming a Chartered Architectural Technologist in 2013, David likes to focus on the buildability of schemes whilst ensuring they are within budget. Joining STOAS in November 2013, he relocated his family and was responsible for leading teams to land multiple retail stores. In 2015 he moved to Chesterfield to set up and manage STOAS' Chesterfield office to provide better coverage for one of STOAS' main clients. David has since been promoted to Director in recognition of his commitment to the practice and our clients.

Hawa Patel

Job Titles:
  • Architect
Hawa joined the practice in 2021 bringing with here a wealth of experience in the residential sector, having worked on new build schemes, refurbishments and bespoke projects at varying scales from inception to completion.

Jay Bhaker

Job Titles:
  • Architectural Technologist
Since graduating from Sheffield Hallam University, Jay has found his footing working at STOAS. With industry experience in multiple sectors and 5 years worth of Revit experience, we believe he is going to be an integral part of the team.

John Hywel-Maxted

Job Titles:
  • Architect
John has been in practice since 2012 after graduating from the University of Plymouth. He has undertaken his Parts 2 and 3 whilst working with STOAS and qualified as an Architect in December 2019. John has experience working across the industrial, residential and commercial sectors where he undertakes project from concept design through to completion.

Jonathan Wood

Job Titles:
  • Director
Jonathan's design and construction career started in 1989 at a large Birmingham based practice. Whilst working at the practice he was studying architectural technology at Perry Barr, followed by a degree at The Birmingham School of Architecture. Still learning and enjoying the design and delivery of each project, large or small, he is always keen on finding practical well considered quality design solutions to meet the client's needs. Jonathan is always looking forward to the next challenge!

Kirren Channa

Job Titles:
  • Architectural Assistant
Kirren joined STOAS as a Part Two Architectural Assistant, She studied at Nottingham Trent University (Part 1) and Birmingham City University (Part 2). She has experience within the residential, commercial and industrial/logistic sectors throughout various RIBA plan of work stages.

Lia Campbell

Job Titles:
  • Architectural Assistant
Lia joined STOAS as a Part One Architectural Assistant having graduated from Sheffield Hallam University. Lia has since successfully completed her Part Two opting to study via an apprenticeship route whilst continuing in practice and is now progressing through her Part 3.

Matthew Marshall

Job Titles:
  • Architectural Technologist
Matthew joined STOAS in 2017 whilst on his placement year from Sheffield Hallam University - and he didn't want to leave. Matthew is currently completing his university degree part-time. He is thoroughly enjoying working in the Chesterfield office, and has expressed how grateful he is for the experiences and knowledge gained so far. In Matthew's spare time he enjoys cycling, fishing and football. He is a qualified goalkeeper coach, and joined Dronfield Town FC at the start of the current season. When he is not in the dugout, Matthew is angling for a carp or two.

Neil Hadley

Job Titles:
  • Associate
Neil has worked in the private practice since 1988 and has extensive experience in retail, commercial, education and health care sectors, developing projects from inception to completion. Neil works closely with clients, design teams, and contractors both on and off site to achieve project goals. He accomplishes the best possible solutions for both technical problems and good aesthetics.

Paul Soden

Job Titles:

  • in 2014 As a Senior Technologist
Paul joined STOAS in 2014 as a Senior Technologist, and was promoted to Associate in 2016. With over 30 years working in the industry, Paul has gained extensive experience in numerous practices throughout the Midlands. This includes working on projects as varied as hotels, nightclubs and public house to retail, residential, commercial and educational. The main focus at STOAS has been the development of several large distribution centres.

Sally Henderson

Job Titles:
  • Office Manager
Sally has proficiently gained over 30 years of experience in a varied of sectors including financial operations, FMCG, food, manufacturing, and construction. The different industries Sally has been involved in obtain ISO9002, and has written manuals for the production of goods. Her skills further expand in other departments including HR, Production Costing and law.

Scott Bryden

Scott, a recently retired director of STOAS, has been involved in various projects as lead consultant over the years. He is a strong believer in good team work and using experience of various disciplines. Scott, a director of STOAS, originally trained as a technologist in his late teens. Involved in various projects as lead consultant over the years, he is a strong believer in good team work and using experience of various disciplines. Scott's most enjoyable projects include the International Convention Centre in Birmingham for three years on site. As well as various interesting small projects at Birmingham Airport and a couple of hundred retail schemes. Scott believes clients need to feel that they are listened to and given sound advice even if it is to give a balanced view to an aspiration. Providing a ‘can do' attitude and delivering sites on time and within budget is the best way to meet the clients need.

Shiraz Iqbal

Job Titles:

Shiraz joined STOAS in early 2021, having previously worked in the residential and commercial sectors. Shiraz brings with him a considerable working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD, allowing him to produce drawing packages and assists with the day to day running of the projects he is involved with. Outside of work, Shiraz is a keen Go-Karter and enjoys petrol fuelled scenic drives as a member of a sports car club. He is a film fanatic and loves fun outdoor activities with his family

Steve Keeling

Steve joined the practice early in 2008 and works on major retail projects from initial conception to final handover to the client. Throughout the years he has gained valuable knowledge and experience working in a variety of roles. Steve joined the practice early in 2008 and works on major retail projects from initial conception through the planning stages to final handover to the client. Steve started his Architectural Technician apprenticeship at a practice in 1989 working on mainly residential schemes. Since then he has gained valuable knowledge and experience working in a variety of roles; as a Designer for a multidisciplinary company on national and international educational projects. As an Assistant Group Planning Manager for a national department store, and a Project Manager for a shopfitting business on retail schemes throughout the UK.

Zorays Alam

Job Titles:

Zorays joined STOAS in 2021 after successfully completing his Part 1 qualification in BA Architecture at BSoAD. He's since worked on a range of commercial and industrial projects, gaining a wealth of experience and developing knowledge across the RIBA stages.
